Chapter 59.1. My Dad Is Cool, You Know

Grandpa Takano approaches Miu with an exaggerated act of concern. His name is, his name is … uh. Who is he again?

Grandpa Takano hugs the world’s most adorable, silver-like gray-haired beauty who tilts her head. It looks like a touching reunion. Mugyuu.

My parents, who had caused a commotion with the alien earlier, couldn’t stop Grandpa Takano from doing what he did. Because at first glance, he looks like a grandfather who is happy to meet his granddaughter after a long time. His eyes are glazed over, though.

“What a mess he’s making in a place like this. I’ll have him suspended. Is Miu hurt?”

I guess that’s what a cat’s paw voice sounds like. Miu had become one more wise woman.

“Yeah, I’m fine!”

Miu answered with a smiling face. I wonder how I should answer. He’s the alien’s father, but he’s also my grandfather. It’s not good to cause any more commotion here. She’s too open to be called cunning, and her personality is full of energy and lighthearted. She had some strange requests for the protagonist. She would ask him to fetch things of no value from ancient ruins or to exterminate monsters that rarely appeared. She would order the protagonists to participate in martial arts competitions and teach them how to turn things around and regain their position in the school.

She’s the grandmother of the allied side. But she’s on the protagonist’s side. And not necessarily on my side.

“You can go, Mii-chan.”

My dad permits me with a determined look as if he’s decided to end the conversation here.

“Yes!”

Captain Miu says she’s on her way, and I head to my new friend’s place.
