Feng Jiu smiled. She took down the formation array, jumped on Old White’s back, and rode down the road.
The wind carried the scent of salty sea water along the coastline. After riding a while, she spotted a small coastal village.
“It’s getting dark. I don’t know how far it is from town. Since there is a small mountain village, let’s rest here.” Anyway, their schedule wasn’t too tight, and she hadn’t gotten much sleep lately. She might as well make a stop in this humble mountain village before continuing on her journey.

When he heard her question, tears welled up in the elderly man’s eyes. He remained silent for a moment before lifting his thin hand to wipe the tears away.
