Sam-Young Group wasnât influential enough to control the whole country, but it known quite well among the older generation in Korea.
On top of that, Sam-Young Manufactures was quite an influential affiliate within the company.
Of course, that made Park Chul-Young, the head representative of the company quite an affluent figure. Wherever he went, everyone fell over themselves trying to please him and were always nervous about being careful not to make a bad impression.
Park Chul-Young wasnât the cruel type to abuse his authority and bully others.
However, nobody dislikes being elevated so he wasnât intending on stopping others from greeting him with a bow, and managed the company in an ordinary way, sometimes enjoying the flattery.
However, there was just one person who wasnât impressed at all by his influence, financial power and connections with the political and financial world.
It was none other than the old man who was sitting on the head chair in his well-kept office as if he were the head representative.
Judging from his face, he was a shabby figure with all the small wrinkles and his ghost-white hair, but his healthy and firm stature reminded Park of an athlete in his twenties, so he couldnât dare think of him as an old man.
His figure was unbalanced; it would be believable if one were to say he was a national athlete at the Korea National Training Center wearing the mask of an old man.
âHeck⊠how does an old man in his 60s and 70s look like a fighter? Is his face the only thing that aged over the years?â Park thought to himself. He was kneeling on the floor, stealing glances at the old man.
âHey, you. Did you just talk trash about me?â
âAh, no sir.â
âWhat do you mean, ânoâ? Itâs written all over your face.â
Vulcan used his System Scanning powers to check on Park Chul-Young.
Normally, Vulcan thought it was creepy of him to get to know others with only a few sentences so he didnât enjoy using it, but this was different.
*A normal human.
*He is hostile towards you.
*He is fearful of you
âYou brat. You really hate me, donât you.â
âNo, sir. Absolutely not.â
âYou dare to keep lyingâŠ?â
Vulcan sprung from his chair and approached Park Chul-Young. Park felt as if the mountains themselves were approaching him and bowed with his head on the floor, forgetting that he was the head representative of a company.
âAah! I made a mistake! PleaseâŠ.â
Vulcan blared his eyes as if he were going to do something terrible, but Park was showing this kind of attitude once Vulcan had showed his true self. It seemed harsh to lash out on him any more.
âDid I give him a lesson too harshly last time?â
Vulcan thought back to the time when he had first met Park Chul-Young.
At the time, Park had treated him much differently, in a more hostile attitude.
That just happened to be around the time Vulcan had lost his son, and what he would have let go of normally had pissed him off. He lashed out and had a face-to-face conversation with Park for 24 hours straight. At the end of the confrontation, it was seemed obvious that Parkâs attitude had completely changed.
Vulcan had shown incredible strength by breaking a rock with bare hands and threatened Park would âbid farewell to the worldâ if they ever crossed paths ever again. With that, Vulcan had vanished in front of Parkâs eyes.
That was already ten years ago.
âI was thinking of reminding him in case he had forgotten.. but I guess thereâs no need for that.â
Vulcan decided there was no reason for him to use violence with Park Chul-Young.
It was too bad that his grandson had been bullied for a ridiculous reason, but it made him uncomfortable to do more when Park was already like this, and the two hadnât even started talking yet.
âKids can make mistakes⊠as long as I scold him severely, everything will be settled. Ah, and the politician brat, too.â
There were two children who had bullied his grandson.
Park Chul-Young wasnât the only parent he had to settle matters with.
Vulcan had already known the whereabouts of Park, so he had been able to come immediately, but the so-called politician wasnât someone Vulcan was familiar with, so he wasnât sure about the whereabouts of this man.
Vulcan turned and looked at Park Chul-Young.
He was still kneeling facedown on the floor and Vulcan spoke up.
âHey, you know him, donât you? Chun Dong-Min, the politician?â
âHuh? Ah.. uhmâŠ.â
âDo you know him, or not? Ah, wait. That came out wrong. Do you have his contact info?â
âYes, yes. I do know him. I even know his contact information.â
âCall him over, then. Weâll talk when heâs here.â
âYes, sir! Right away, sir!â Park responded. He was like a soldier receiving orders from the general and immediately whipped out his phone.
Feeling nervous, however, he continued to dial the wrong number, and kept wrestling with his phone, unable to wipe off the sweat that continued to fall from his face like rain.
Vulcan placed his hand on Parkâs shoulder, and a warm feeling spread all over his body.
âThis⊠thisâŠâ
It was a strange phenomenon that humans in modern times wouldnât be able to understand.
Park realized he felt calm immediately and looked up at Vulcan, who was looking down at him emotionlessly.
âDoes this make you feel better? Donât be nervous, and make sure you convince him well to come here. Then everything will be alright.â
Park nodded feverishly.
**
âWhat the heck is going on?â muttered Chun Dong-Min, who had come to the headquarters of Sam-Young Manufactures after receiving an urgent call from Park Chul-Young. He didnât stop muttering on his way to the head representativeâs office where Park was. From the way he was pleading, there was something urgent and important to say, so Chun couldnât ignore Parkâs call.
âGeesh, if itâs that urgent, he should be the one to come looking for me. Who is he to summon me?â
Chun Dong-Min was considering at least listening to Park since he had come all the way here, but if Park spoke nonsense, Chun was thinking of storming out of the place immediately.
âI even cancelled plans to go golfing⊠if this turns out to be nothingâŠâ
âUggghâŠ!â he gasped.
He felt an enormous amount of pressure as soon as he opened the door and entered the office.
It wasnât simply that he was overwhelmed; he literally felt a pressure that forced him down on his knees and teleported him at the feet of the old man.
Chun Dong-Min was bewildered at this unbelievable phenomenon.
He stared blankly at the good-figured old man standing in front of him and realized there was someone else kneeling next to him.
It was Park Chul-Young, his acquaintance.
He was surprised to see Park looking nervous like someone who had committed a crime.
âWhat is going onâŠâ
âShh! For heavenâs sake, wonât you be quiet!â Park hissed.
ââŠâ
Chun was not expecting this reaction from Park at all.
He was confused by how Park, who was usually so confident, even proud, was behaving so differently.
âSh*t. What is this⊠and why isnât my leg moving?â
Unable to understand what was going on, fear arose in his mind he couldnât understand, but he wasnât one to keep calm in these kind of situations.
He didnât like how he was kneeling like this when he was in a position that always allowed him to look down on others.
Chun turned back to the old man.
It seemed he was the one to settle things with.
âWho are you, old man?â
âHey, is your son Chun Yu-Hyun from Class Two in fifth grade at TaeHan Elementary School?â
ââŠâ
This old man wasnât answering his question.
Chun was pissed off, annoyed with the old manâs rudeness and shot back.
âWhat are you talking about? Why are you talking down to me all of a sudden? Who the hell are you?â
âYou donât need to know who I am. Hey, Park. Is he the one? He is, isnât he?â
âYes, yes, sir!â
âNow, look here, Park. What in the world are you⊠HEY! What the.. what in the world are you⊠ugggh!â
BANG. BANG. BANG.
Chun had been bewildered by Parkâs attitude, for it didnât suit him as the head representative of a renown company in Korea.
Chun had tried to scold the old man, thinking he was the cause of all this mess, and went flying at his powerfully aimed punch.
Park, who had been watching, shut his eyes.
âAh⊠that man⊠why couldnât he have caught on more quickly?â He thought.
Park Chul â Young had thought everything would end on a peaceful note as long as Chun Dong-Min came, but it had all gone wrong.
That dirty tempered old man⊠no, wait. Park wasnât even sure if he really was an old man.
Anyways, that ill-tempered monster looked like he was in a worse mood than before, and it didnât seem like Chunâs punishment was going to end any time soon.
Chun let out a painful grunt with every blow and was curled up like a shrimp.
Park Chul-Young looked on with fearful eyes and made the mistake of making eye contact with the old man. He immediately looked away, terrified.
âF***. Where the hell did my damn son learn bad habits⊠and on top of that, why did he have to get involved with a kid that just happened to be related to that old manâŠ?â
If only he survived today, Park Chul-Young was planning on beating the crap out of his son to teach him a lesson.
But Chun Dong-Min had different thoughts.
He had always had a lot more spite than Park Chul-Young.
Also, unlike Park, who had had a long talk with Vulcan for 24 hours straight, he had only been beaten for the past thirty minutes. It would take something harsher, or a longer punishment for him to bow to Vulcan.
âHey! You b*llsh*tting old crackhead! Do you know who the hell I am? Ugh⊠f*ck you⊠As soon as I get out of here⊠agh.. GahâŠ! Iâm going to killâŠ. Hey! Iâm Chun Dong-Min, the two-term serving politician! You messed with the wrong person!â
âWhat in the world is going on about.â
Vulcan paused with his beating.
It looked pathetic of Chun, trying to oppress Vulcan with his societal authority and Vulcan stopped to stare at Chun.
Park had caught on quickly just by Vulcan exercising his powers here and there and had humbled himself immediately, realizing his place, but this guy just didnât seem to get it at all.
Vulcan was silently wondering whether he should beat this two â term politician harder and make him realize his mistake, or whether there would be another way to punish him.
Chun Dong-Min saw his reaction and thought his threat had worked.
He shuddered in pain but at the same time, shot Vulcan a proud look.
âHaâŠ! Itâs too late you son of a b*tch! You brat⊠do you know who I am⊠? Donât even think about simply going to prison for this⊠you are done for. F*ck⊠how dare youâŠâ
Both Vulcan and Park Chul-Young were bewildered, seeing Chun harping on about his position.
âDoes this brat think heâs some sort of god or something? Whatâs makes him so confident?â
Of course, it was impressive that Chun was a two-term runner as a politician in Korea, but it was pointless being prideful in front of Vulcan, who had enough powers to overthrow a god. Chunâs âpowersâ were petty on so many different levels, and only influential in Korea.
Vulcan was bewildered, seeing Chun being high and mighty, trusting his authority as a politician.
âWas Park the one who was quick-witted, or is this guy just an idiot?â
Vulcan seriously pondered what he should do with this man who was barking at him like a small pup.
At that moment, he felt an evil force that he had never felt before approach Earth and his expression hardened.
He had blocked off the attacks of the Dark forces at least four times.
They were serious situations where three out of the four attacks had been personally led by a demon with powers almost as powerful as the Duke of the Demons, and they were at the level of 800s.
But the evil force he felt this time was stronger than any other he had felt before.
A force that was so strong and horrible that it couldnât be anything else other than the Great Demon King leading this attack himself.
âIf I were to say this is a relief ⊠is that itâs in the middle of the ocean.â
Unlike the attacks that had been on the cities so far, this time, he felt the forces in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and Vulcan sighed with relief.
If he flew off now, he would be able to stop them from spreading disaster elsewhere.
When Vulcan was done processing all of this in his head, he considered wearing the evil masterâs clothes set, but realized there was no need.
Park Chul-Young had already seen him with extraordinary powers and Chun would be dealt with after his fight with the demons anyways.
Still, he wanted to show Chun who he was dealing with, especially when he was being high and mighty, demanding respect for who he was.
Vulcan wanted to show them whose grandson had been messed with.
âChun Dong-min, Park Chul-Young.â
Vulcan called as he opened inventory window and popped on his devilâs clothes.
It was quite a sight for the two, seeing an old man wearing casual clothes change into a devilmanâs clothes with a blink of an eye.
Park, who had been expecting this all along, bowed his head and shut his eyes, while Chun, who had been arrogantly pointing an accusing finger at Vulcan, looked at him stupidly.
Then, Vulcan spoke.
âWait right here. This conversation isnât over yet.â
Vulcan cast a Tracking Spell on Chun Dong-Min, broke the office window, and flew off in the speed of light.
Chun still wasnât able to process it all.
He gaped stupidly at the broken window and made stammering noises.
Park, who had been looking at Chunâs foolish figure, stood up and flopped himself on the couch.
