Chapter 75 – Before the Sports Festival

The final checks for the sports festival tomorrow were being done in the student council office.

Representatives from the Broadcasting Club, Athletics Committee members, and Discipline Committee members gathered to make the final verification of the overall progress and the content of the competitions.

Final checks for the equipment to be used, and so on…

Delegating work to students, to some extent, was very enjoyable.

And what I appreciate the most is that the student council members can use the headquarters and standby seats.

In other words, I don’t have to stay in the classroom. I can stay here when I don’t have anything to do.

“Takanashi-san, how’s the final verification going?”

Someone asked me as I was on the patrol route.

I had to check to ensure that no one was gathering in extreme places or playing around during the sports festival.

“President… what are you saying to Takanashi-kun?”

“Of course, I want to hear it, but if Sara-senpai doesn’t want to, then…”

After hearing that, the President asked Sara-senpai.

“How about it? Takanashi-kun says he wants to listen to your live commentary. I’ll put him in the seat next to you when you give the play-by-play commentary?

“Do you want to listen to my live coverage, Takanashi-kun?”

How should I answer this?

I don’t want to trouble Senpai by saying something careless, but I want to truly hear it.

“If Sara-senpai doesn’t hate it, I’d love to listen to it. But if you hate it even just a little, then…”

“Then I’ll accept.”

“Yosh! Then this problem is solved. Let’s do our best!”

“Ehhh??? I’m sure this would be a substantial problem, but how was it resolved easily? Was this Natsumi-chan’s influence rubbing on her?”

“…I could see this coming.”

“…A-Ah! Because of Takanashi-kun, isn’t it?”

Maybe Senpai actually didn’t want to do it…

“Takanashi-san, I will do my best to give the live coverage, so please watch me closely.”

She’s probably okay since she seems to be all smiles.

“Yes! Mother, Takanashi-san, and Natsumi’s share. So I’m going to prepare them in heavy-duty boxes.”

But it’s a school event, so it’s not surprising if she comes.

Though my parents won’t be there.

I’m looking forward to it, but also nervous at the same time.

“Sara-senpai’s mom will be going to the sports festival?”

I haven’t told my parents about the school event.
