Chapter 40 – If There’s So Much You Don’t Know

Takanashi-san seems to be feeling a little dejected.
Indeed, now that I think about it, I haven’t told him much about myself.
It’s not that I had any deep reasons for doing so, but I just enjoyed our time at school and was satisfied with that.
So I just didn’t have a chance to talk about it with him.
And also, I had never heard of Takanashi-san’s daily life and what he likes to do.
This was an oversight.

 saying something like this means that he wants to know more about me, right?
That makes me happy

I also want to know more about you, Takanashi-san, and I want you to tell me all about yourself

“Takanashi-san, I myself have been enjoying school life since you became my friend. But what you’ve just told me has made me regret that I didn’t know what Takanashi-san was doing in his daily life.”
That’s right, I haven’t talked to Senpai about my daily life or anything like that either.
I was enjoying my current daily life and that was all I could see

“Since we are out together like this, let’s have some time to relax and talk. We can talk about what we want to ask each other and what we want to know.”
In an effort to get to know each other, Senpai tells me with a smile.

I can see that Senpai is very happy.
What a relief

I was happy to know that Senpai wanted to know about me too.

“They’re completely lost in their own world, aren’t they? 
They’re staring at each other in the store and
 getting a lot of attention.”
“Even when it’s just the three of us together, I’m often the one who gets left behind. I’ve grown used to it by now.”
I guess it doesn’t matter even if it’s in the store.
It’s nothing new now.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but they will still be our friends even if they give off that atmosphere
”
It’s good to see that you’re so understanding of those two.
“That’s what I was talking about earlier. If they don’t think it’s strange, it’s all within the normal realm.”

Since we’ve decided to talk about ourselves, maybe I could give her the present since I’ll have some ideas after talking to her.
Maybe something will come to mind.
“Senpai, would you like to have lunch before it gets too crowded?”
“Yes, it will certainly be crowded later on, so
 Well, if you don’t mind, there is a cafĂ© with an open terrace where we can have a quick bite to eat and talk about what we discussed earlier.”
“Okay, then let’s go there.”
We left the store and headed for the cafe.
On the way, we passed through a boutique area.
As we walked along, casually looking around, we saw a store that mainly dealt in cute clothes like the one Senpai was wearing today.
All the mannequins you can see from the aisle and the shopkeepers are dressed similar to today’s Senpai

I ordered a sandwich bread and a drink at the cafe and sat down at a corner of the open terrace.
“Shall we eat then?”
“Yes, I agree.”
I had a roast beef sandwich while Senpai had a salad chicken and tomato sandwich.
To be honest, I think this won’t be enough, but there’s no way I can order two or three of them
 (TN: Poor MC XD)
“This is the first time I’ve had lunch at such a fancy place. With other guys, we usually just go for ramen or something.”
“For me, Natsumi does quite a bit of research on various places, so I’m basically leaving it up to her.”
It’s not what I intended, but the flow of the conversation turned out to be just right, so let’s just follow it up through this little conversation.
“I see. Does Senpai often go out on her days off?”
“Natsumi often invites me out, so I don’t really buy anything, but I do go window shopping.”
“Hmm, I see. Do you have any hobbies at home?”
“I don’t have any hobbies
I like to read books, but I don’t think I can call it a hobby. When I don’t have plans, I do housework or study
sometimes I help out at my grandmother’s house
or at the shrine.”
I see.
The shrine seems to be a busy place with a lot to do.
In my image, it was easy to imagine Senpai on holidays drinking tea and reading, but doing housework and helping out

She’s a good cook since her lunch boxes are that good, and Senpai is probably a pretty family-oriented person.
