Queen and I were able to safely join up with Ilya-chan and the others at the entrance to let them know that we had subjugated the Goblins.
There were more than fourteen Goblin corpses there and they were piled up into a mountain.
As expected, it seems that there were many Goblins outside as well.
Putting the Goblins into my Item Box, I let Ilya-chan and the others know what happened inside, and then we entered the cave to meet up with everyone else.
We were able to confirm that the air was circulating inside the cave, so I opened up an air vent at the entrance and then used earth magic to close it up.
Arriving at the open area, Ilya-chan and the girl from the adventurer group ran towards the Goblin baby.
「Oh, it’s sleeping?」
「U~n, looking at it like this, it’s cuter than I thought it would be.」
Although it was a Goblin, as expected, babies charmed people.
「Woof」「Woof woof」「Woo~f」
The wolf cubs now had a new younger brother(?) or sister(?), so they approached the baby with wagging tails.
It seems that the Goblin baby wouldn’t be a problem, so it looked like my original goal had been accomplished.
「Well then, everyone, hold this!」
I gave Cruz-kun and the boys from the adventurer group pickaxes and walked along the wall while using Appraisal.
After walking for a while, I discovered a place where a lot of iron ore could be found.
「Everyone, it seems that we can mine a lot of them in this area!」
「Leave it to us!」
「Physical work is my job.」
The boys screamed this and started mining.
When mining, we needed to make sure that there wouldn’t be a cave-in, but when I confirmed it with Ojii-san, I was told that it would be fine since the foundation around this area was strong.
That being the case, mining seemed difficult though….
Bang, bang, bang, bang
The sound of everyone striking the wall was reverberating.
Rather, it was the interior of the cave, so the sound was echoing and it was extremely loud.
It was much too noisy, so wondering if the baby woke up, I went over to take a look, but it was sound asleep without a care in the world.
It was hard to judge whether it had bad hearing or it was a big shot, but it was the last survivor of this group, so it was definitely a big shot.
Leaving the mining of the ores to the boys, I began to collect the Goblins that were scattered about in the surrounding area.
As one would expect, we couldn’t leave them like this indefinitely. Midway, the girl from the adventurer group also helped.
It took some time, but we were able to collect the Goblins without any problems. Thinking about the dismantling work that came after, I was a little depressed though….
Looking around, the boys were mining and my younger sister, Sakuya-chan, and Ojii-san were staying by the baby’s side.
And so, the girl from the adventurer group, the familiars, and I had nothing to do. In that case, maybe I’ll dismantle the Goblins outside.
The sun was also setting and it was getting darker, so I went back inside the cave and into the open area.
I was able to finish dismantling the Goblins without any issue, though there was just the demon nuclei that were considered the materials. I set aside the ones of the King, the Mages, the Soldiers, and the Archers because we might use them for something in the future.
While I was doing that, Queen and the others went into the forest to hunt and brought back new prey, so I dismantled that as well and when I finished, it had become late.
In the open area, the ores were piled up high.
「You were able to get a considerable amount of them.」
「Ou, it’s Shuu, huh. It’s good practice and I’m full of vigor.」
「Practice?」
It seems that when they were getting worried that the wall was too hard, they remembered that they had enveloped their swords with mana, and after trying it out with their pickaxes, it went smoothly, so they went on with their practice like that.
However, Cruz-kun didn’t have much mana and wasn’t able to mine much.
Everyone worked together and after I put the ores into my Item Box, I began making preparations for dinner.
This time, we didn’t have to worry about being attacked by monsters, so we had warm soup and meat skewers.
It seems that the food was basically made by the girl from the adventurer group. Although I said that, it was just boiling meat and wild flowers into a soup.
The meat skewers were made from the prey that Queen and the others hunted just now.
Let’s give Miu and the Silver Squirrel medicinal herbs and fruits.
Now then, today, we did all sorts of laborious things like the Goblin subjugation, ore mining, and the dismantling of the Goblins, so let;s go to sleep early!
