Kill the Lights by Jangryang

Aaron stared idiotically at Noah, who was smiling innocently, and suddenly saw the gun hanging from his fingers.
At Aaronâs stare, Noah smiled brightly and looked at the gun he was holding.
Noah, who had left the room supported by Ashley, opened his eyes not long after the door closed. He rolled his eyes to look around, lightly breathed out and leaned on Ashley, who was walking and supporting him like he was heavy. It seemed like the bleeding was pretty bad, such that his body felt heavy. But it wasnât so bad that he couldnât move.
Noah glanced at the holster at back of Ashleyâs waist.
Ashley felt something below her and looked at Noah, whom she was supporting. Did he gain his conscious? âItâd be easier to negotiate had he faintedâ, even as she was thinking Noahâs arm wrapped around Ashleyâs waist.
Ashley touched her holster. The gun that should definitely be there was missing. The gun that was supposed to be in her holster was pointed at her.
Noah held the gun, with his finger on the trigger, as if he was going to pull it anytime soon and said.
âWhy? Did you guys think you kidnapped a seven-year-old child?â
Noah smiled lightly. Mason was enough to think that he was a weak little child, trapped in the luggage bag 20 years ago. If Mason was protecting him, Noah wasnât afraid of anything. If he had him, everything felt like a childâs play to Noah.
Ashley mumbled as she staggered. No way. She thought there was no way he will pulled the trigger. No matter how incredible Noah Raycarlton was, he was just a civilian and a celebrity. It wasnât easy for a normal human to kill. It doesnât mean that, simply because he was holding a gun, he would shoot, and if he showed any signs of hesitation, Ashley was confident that sheâll be able to steal the gun away from him. She was a pro and he wasnât even an amateur or even a beginner. Thatâs what Ashley had thought.
âDid you load the gun?â As she tried to distract Noah, Ashley looked at her chest, because suddenly her ears were deafened, and she couldnât hear anything as her body shook.
There was a red hole pierced through her chest, which was exploding with blood. She hastily tried to block it with her hands, but the blood was pouring out between her fingers.
âYou loaded it a while ago.â
âIt seems like you canât remember. It doesnât really matter now though.â -Noah replied and watched her slowly collapse with his cold eyes.
He searched her body, took out a phone and turned it on. The phone rang very soon, and Noah, who pressed the call button, talked before he could hear the other personâs voice.
â-How much did I invested in Zii?â
[âŠPerhaps, Mr. Raycarlton? Ray,]
âIâm very disappointed.â
Noah pronounced it insincerely; cut it short and hung up the phone.
And the time it took the Zii army to fill the storage room was only two minutes.
âKeeping a gun in her back while handling a hostage was stupid of her.â
Noah shortly criticized and smiled. Aaron panted and stepped back. At that moment, bullets pierced through the air and both of Aaronâs knees were shot.
Aaron sat on the ground, and he heard a cold tone through the megaphone, [Weâll shot if you move.] Aaron was trembling in pain and fear and raised his head. Again, he saw red lights pointed at his face, chest, arms, legs, and his whole body. Before he knew it, his body was drenched wet with cold sweat, and Aaron put his head down and swallowed his dried spit.
The footsteps got closer, and a shadow loomed large above his head. When he slowly looked up at the shadow that was creepy like a death, Noah, with a gun, was standing right in front of him and looking down at him.
âHow do you feel right now?â
Noah slowly pressed the gun on Aaronâs forehead.
Aaron looked at Noahâs face in terror. It was undoubtedly a beautiful face, but Noah, who was squinting, did not look beautiful. Definitely, it was the weak and pitiful young master, who had been held hostage until a while ago, but he looked completely different now. The man, who was smiling while pointing his gun, was overwhelmingly brutal.
ââŠ-Yes. I was also very scared.â
Noah stepped on Aaronâs knee and whispered to him as he screamed in pain.
âYou killed Mason with a gun like this.â
Aaron, who was struggling in pain, crouched and panted.
âYou killed my God.â -Aaron frowned, as his body drenched in sweat. It was not the story that the kidnapping was scary. Noah was talking about Aaron killing Mason.
âYou cannot even imagine how scared I was.â
To Noah, this was not a substitute for Masonâs revenge. This was his revenge. Fear of death? Noah has gone through it many times. In reality, and in dreams that were more realistic than reality, he had experienced it several times. Noah knew that sensation of trembling skin, leaking tears, and actual suffocation.
It was an extreme fear, but it was nothing compared to Masonâs death.
It was better to die than experience the fear of living, in a world where Mason was dead.
Mason is Noahâs God? Aaron could not understand what Noah was saying at all.
âItâs okay if you canât understand.â
Noah smiled, âwhat are you gonna do after knowing?â He said, âJust thatâŠ.,âand trailed out. Noah looked at the red light touching Aaronâs forehead. Aaron felt pain on that part and breathed heavily.
âAre you afraid of the sniperâs pointer?â
Noah asked like âit doesnât even hurt.â
âYou donât have to worry. They wonât shoot you.â
Aaron moved his lips at the calming voice and looked at Ashley, and then at the Zii army again before finally focusing on Noah.
âTheyâ wonât shoot you. -The black hole on Ashleyâs chest wasnât Ziiâs handiwork.
Noah affirmed, put his finger on the trigger and pointed the gun at Aaronâs forehead. Even though smiling, Noahâs eyes were creepily cold. He couldnât feel anything humane like sympathy or hesitation from him.
Aaron felt his whole body grow cold, from head to toe. A black thing twirled, climbing over his body and trying to pull him down. Aaronâs eyes, which realized what it was, were clouded with fear.
Aaron tried to say anything, but before any sound came out of his mouth, the finger moved. Bam, it sounded like a watermelon cracking, and Aaron, who had his mouth open, just collapsed backward. Splat, blood bloomed in a circle around his head.
Noah felt a splash of warm blood on his cheek and smiled satisfactorily.
âAhâŠ, I wanted to do this all this time. Seriously.â Ever since he heard Mason was dead.
Noah watched Aaronâs face as he opened his eyes wide and died. Until all short spasms that occurs after death stopped.
Noah, who watched Aaron until he wasnât able to move a single hair, slowly stood up and looked around. All the Zii agents that filled the place were watching him.
âââââââââââââââââ-
Mason: NoâŠNoah? IsâŠis that really⊠you? (I thought he was just a childâŠ.)
Dayum! He got his revenge! Too bad he didnât torture him enough⊠but I bet Aaron felt all the fear in the worldâŠ
BTW next part is the last part! (wink)
