Wattpad readers, I have now created a simple website to put my work on. Just type in lazyinu.wordpress.com (It is also in my profile) into your browser search bar and click Over Capacity in the menu. I am also setting my novelupdates link to there. Additionally, I will still update here for people who prefer Wattpad.
One more announcement: I will be updating on Sundays too (Think of it as a bonus chapter since I will only update then if I have less work)
βββββ-
After finishing the cabbage rolls, Lina-san took me by the hand to the commercial guild.
"I don't think this is necessary..."
"No! We can't possibly keep quiet about a dish this good!"
Un... guess there's no stopping this.
We arrived at the commercial guild in no time. Lina-san went to the counter and started talking about something. Let's eavesdrop! I focused my attention on the sound.
"(Is the Guildmaster here?)"
"(Yes, he's here... is it about the jiril grass again?)"
"(Not today, but it's something just as important.)"
"(I- I understand!)"
I can hear you guys loud and clear. This is amazing.
"I'm done. Shall we go?"
"Yes"
I followed Lina to the room I had just visited yesterday.
After waiting for a while, Lauren-san came into the room.
"What can I do for you today? I heard it's not about the jiril grass..."
"We're here to register a recipe! You can do that, can't you?!"
Said Lina-san eagerly. Lauren-san, on the other hand, looked away.
"I- I can, but is it that great a dish to be so excited about?"
Right?
"It's not just great! It's a revolution!"
"R- really... do you have the actual article right now?"
"Come on, Marina-chan!"
Lina-san... your eyes are scary. I had made one cabbage roll, or rather rolled Chinese cabbage, at Lina's request. It was for this purpose, isn't it?
"Ok, here please"
I took out the Chinese cabbage rolls from my inventory. Since time is stopped inside, there is still steam coming out.
"This... is a dish I've never seen before."
"Try it!"
"Then..."
Lauren-san took out a fork from nowhere and started to eat the rolled Chinese cabbage.
"This-!! This is!?!"
Lauren-san's eyes widened as he said that. Then he finished it all at once. That's fast!
"I see... now I understand why. This is indeed a revolution."
"Right?!"
Lina-san let out a smug smile.
"Lina, you know it's Marina-chan who made it."
Fina-san warned Lina-san.
"So, you made this, Marina-san?"
"Umm... well, yes."
I wasn't the one who made this recipe though.
"I see... now then, let's proceed with the recipe registration."
With that, Lauren-san stood up and started rummaging through the nearby shelves.
"Oh, there it is. It's been buried here because no one has been registering recipes for a while."
As he said this, he placed an A4 sized brown piece of paper on the table.
"This is?"
"This is a special paper used for recipe registration. You fill it in with special ink to register the recipe."
"Who made it?"
"God, of course."
It's ....... I have a very bad feeling about this.
"So, write with this"
Lauren-san handed me an ink pot and a quill.
"What do I write?"
"... the ingredients and procedure? I'm not too sure. After all, this is the first time I've registered a recipe since I became the Guildmaster."
Seriously? That's way too few!
While processing this shocking fact, I wrote with the quill... at least, I tried to.
"It's a bit difficult, isn't it?"
"Yes, a little."
Because the tip keeps on getting stuck in the paper. Finally, I managed to write down the materials and procedures, as well as the precautions, in shaky letters.
Oh, the ingredients are made for 4 servings.
"...I'm done."
"Okay. Then this way."
Then I was led to an altar with a miniature statue of God.
"Please place the paper here and pray."
Pray?
"How do I pray?"
"Just think, 'Please register this recipe.'"
Right!
I put my hands together and prayed as Lauren-san said. Please register my recipe!
Then I think I heard a voice from somewhere saying, "Leave it to me!" The voice sounded feminine, so I wondered if it was Aeries-sama or Oceanis-sama.
"Ok, your part is done. Now we wait for the seal of God to appear on the paper."
"How long will it take?"
"Well... about a week, I think."
I was wondering if it would really take that long, when suddenly, the paper started to glow.
"""" Eh?""""
γ.........Yes. I knew that they would register me right away.
γ...... But why is it so bright!?
"This is amazing"
Lauren-san breathes out.
"God has approved of your cooking, Marina-chan!"
Perhaps that's true, I can't deny it
"T- the registration is almost done. Now we just need the price..."
"What's the cheapest I can go."
"The cheapest is... 100 Lithia."
"That's it then."
"Wait a minute, Marina-chan!?"
The one who interfered with my price setting was Lina-san.
"Isn't it too cheap!?"
"But I want more people to know about it."
That was my goal, but because I couldn't do it for free, I set it at the lowest price.
"I can certainly understand Marina-san's idea but if it's too cheap, it might make people suspicious."
Ah...that was a possibility.
"...A thousand then?
"It's still pretty cheap, but if Marina-san is okay with that, I'll set it at that price."
On the paper, Lauren-san wrote [1000] in the special ink. Then the letters on the paper glowed for a moment.
"The registration is now complete. The sales will be directly transferred to Marina's card."
Wow, I didn't know that was possible!
"I understand."
"Then I'll send you out"
Lauren-san walked us out of the commercial guild.
"Are you sure about the right price?"
"Yes. I have more money than I can spend."
There's still a lot of jiril grass in my inventory, so I don't have to worry about money yet.
"I'm not going to say anything else since that's what you think."
The sun was already setting as we headed for the inn. On the way, I was asked if I still know the recipe, so I just said that I did, but needed more ingredients.
