At the end of my part-time job, Hiiragi-san approached me with a curious look on her face. Love talk seemed to attract the attention of high school girls, and I felt like Hiiragi-san has been talking to me more and more lately.
[Yeah, well, there was something. I think she realized that I was becoming conscious of her, and she started to be more aggressive towards me]
Saito is sharp about these things, probably because sheās often favored by the opposite gender. She mustāve known that I started to like her.
On top of that, sheās been aggressively coming towards me, which meansā¦ Sheās doing it on purpose.
I hope itās not a misunderstanding or anything, but there might be a chance that she likes me too. I was somewhat embarrassed and ended up grinning.
[Heeh. Soā¦ how did it feel? She came to you aggressively. Her sudden change in attitude mustāve been uncomfortableā¦]
She reacted to my answer by jerking her body a little, then glanced up and asked in a slightly weaker voice.
[No way! I was a little confused, but how could I not be interested by the appeal from someone I like? And even though she wasnāt used to doing such things, it was very cute to see her doing her best!]
Itās true that when someone whoās not close to you suddenly tries to get closer, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but thatās not the case with her.
Trying to deny her words, I raised my voice unintentionally.
[I-Is that soā¦]
She seemed to be a little surprised that my voice got louder, and quieted down. Her cheeks blushed and her eyes were looking down. After a little while, she looked up at me again.
[Thatā¦ I think itās safe to say that sheās just shy]
[Well, in that sense, her cheeks do blush a lot]
[Eh!? Is that true!?]
she said as she blushed.
[Well, yeah. Almost anyone can tell if they pay attention]
[I-Is that really trueā¦?]
When I replied to her, she seemed to be taken aback, and let out a small whimper while looking away.
I donāt know why she was so worked up about Saitoās blushing cheeks. I didnāt think it was that important.
I didnāt understand why Hiiragi-san was so focused on them, so I asked her.
[Why are you so concerned?]
[Eh? Wellā¦ Thatās right! Sheād probably be very embarrassed if she knew how observant you are]
[Ahh, I see. Well, Itās cute, so itās totally fine] (TN: Mans making some moves, good job)

A surprised, yet impatient look was seen for a moment on her face.
[Sheās become more expressive lately, but even so, she isnāt someone who would show much emotion in the first place, so itās cute seeing thereās a girlish side to her, and that makes me nervousā¦]

Perhaps she was a little embarrassed that we were talking about someone elseās love affair because she blushed and shifted her gaze elsewhere.
However, it seems like it was interesting to her to learn more about my relationship, and her face when looking away was a relaxed and smiling face, as if she was enjoying herself.
[Well, Iām trying my best against her recent aggressiveness, so Iād like her to slow down a little]
[Is that so?]
[Of course, I am thrilled by my crush approaching me. Even now, Iām trying to keep my composure]
[I seeā¦ Well, you can only hope it goes that way, right?]
I said this with a shrug of my shoulders, showing that I was troubled. Hiiragi-san gave me her thoughts and then chuckled.
She had a devilish smile on her face that looked like she was planning a prank.
Somewhat bewitchingly and absentmindedly thrilled, not knowing why sheād make thatĀ expression, I replied, [I really hope it doesnāt come to thatā¦]
