Chapter 58: An Eye for an Eye

5 min read1,232 words

Inside a stone cave that was only big enough to accommodate five or six people, Yuan Ting, Yu Feifei, and two other teens were looking at the wall.

The walls in the small cave were covered with strange and mysterious symbols.

However, some of the writings were erased.

With just a glance, Yu Yuan determined that the symbols written on the wall were once a complete formation.

These writings were probably left behind by some of the first explorers here.

Most like there had been other cultivators who came later like them and studied it.

After fully interpreting the entire formation, that person probably destroyed parts of the writings to prevent people from gaining the same knowledge.

If the missing parts weren’t recovered, it would be extremely difficult to decipher the true meaning

“Don’t waste too much time here.” Yu Yuan turned away. “An incomplete writing like this one has no real value.”

Yuan Ting and the others were still staring at the wall, trying to figure something out.

Yu Yuan, having lost his interest, already left the cave.

Just as he walked out, he suddenly saw a group of three people emerging from another cave, moving quickly toward him.

As they came close, Yu Yuan saw that the group was two men and a woman, who he met once at the entrance.

It was just that Yu Yuan didn’t have much interaction with them.

“Have you found anything?”

The young man in the front curiosity asked loudly while still far away.

“Are you Yu Yuan from the Dark Moon City?”

The young girl among the three immediately got angered just from looking at his face.

What he said before entering the Forbidden Land had probably provoked every woman in the five clans and six cities.

That girl must have been one of them.

Yu Yuan shrugged but did not respond to them.

“I’ll punish you later!” The girl glared at him and said to the other two. “Let’s see what’s in here first.”

As she said that, the three of them went past him and into the cave where Yuan Ting and the others were.

Zhao Yafu finally climbed up from the hole they were in just then.

“Why are these three from the Hidden Moon City here for?” She looked suspiciously at the cave and said, “Is it finally something good?”

“Just an incomplete formation.” Yu Yuan answered casually.

“Incomplete?” Zhao Yafu didn’t seem to care much as well. “Then that’ll be a waste of time.”

She didn’t specify who the three from the Hidden Moon City were, and Yu Yuan didn’t seem to want to know either.

He could already tell that the three of them didn’t have much experience.

At least none of them got to the Yellow Hall Realm yet.

As long as Zhao Yafu they wouldn’t be a problem.

“Stop!”

Suddenly, Yuan Ting’s roar sounded from inside the stone cave.

“Brother!”

Yu Feifei also yelled in a panic almost at the same time.

Yu Yuan’s face changed. Just as he was about to rush into the cave to see what was going on, all of them came out.

To be precise, it was the three from the Hidden Moon City running out and Yuan Ting chasing after them.

Woosh.

Swiftly, Yu Yuan got in front of the three and blocked their way out. “Tell me what happened.”

“Yu Yuan, that person was touching your sister’s face.” Yuan Ting furiously pointed at that thin, dark-skinned teenager.

The teen smiled mockingly, “I just saw that your sister is so cute and chubby that I couldn’t help but touch her face. What’s wrong about that?”

He didn’t seem to be taking this seriously.

Yu Yuan stared at him.

“What?” Another taller man who was a little older said, “My brother just touched her, what are you doing to do about that? We haven’t come after you yet for calling all the ladies shrews yet.”

“Sister Yafu.” Yu Yuan said.

“I’m here!” Zhao Yafu responded loudly.

“Help me take this guy down.” Yu Yuan pointed at the thin boy.

“Sure thing.”

Zhao Yafu shot out like a lightning bolt.

Her body traveled through the air like a dragon while accumulating a great amount of spiritual energy and qi.

She clenched her little fist tight and smashed toward the three of them, simple but violent.

“HA!”

With a fierce roar, her shadow condensed into a dragon’s shape.

The group from Hidden Moon City felt that they were pinned in place and blood started rushing to their heads, making them feel dizzy.

Zhao Yafu’s fist smashed toward them following the momentum of her body, hitting perfectly on the chest of the two brothers.

Bam!

Like thunder hitting the ground, her punch smacked both of them backward and crashing onto the rock walls behind.

She gracefully swung her body to the side and appeared in front of the thin boy, grabbing onto his shirt from the back. Zhao Yafu dragged him like dragging a dead dog and threw him beside Yu Yuan’s feet, “Here, the job’s done.”

The battle started and ended at the same instant, almost like a flash of light.

The other girl was still dazzled by Zhao Yafu’s roar, but now the fight was over already.

“Uh……”

Yuan Ting and Yu Feifei, as well as the members of the Yuan family, were all dumbfounded.

Had Zhao Yafu always been so aggressive?

Last time they saw her was when she was just at the Contained Spirit Realm. How could she have improved so fast?

Even Yu Yuan was slightly surprised. He thought to himself, that dragon’s spirit must have brought something brilliant, but I’m curious what exactly changed her so much.

While thinking, Yu Yuan squinted and squatted down.

“You…what do you want to do?” The thin boy seemed to have finally realized what had happened to him. He was beaten to the ground by Zhao Yafu in just one blow.

“Nothing much. Just I feel like your face is also cute and chubby, and I can’t help touching it as well!”

Smiling, Yu Yuan placed both of his hands on the boy’s cheeks and squeezed hard, pulling on opposite sides.

“Ahhh!”

With the screams being slaughtered like a pig, the young boy’s tears flooded out from the pain.

“Stop!”

The taller brother and the girl screamed in unison.

Yu Yuan didn’t even look at them. He was clear that the rules allowed fighting and competing during the first four months, as long as he didn’t end up threatening that boy’s life, he would be fine.

He needed to teach these people a lesson. Even if the others from outside noticed, the most he would get is a warning.

The screaming boy’s face was swollen like a cotton ball, after being torn and rubbed by Yu Yuan’s rough hands.

“Don’t be so proud of yourself! Our team members will be here soon!”

Shocked by Zhao Yafu’s combat power, the girl did not dare to act rashly, so she decided to scare them with their backups. “We came as a group, they should be here anytime now.”

Yuan Ting seemed slightly terrified by her threat.

He knew that the Hidden Moon City send a couple of cultivators who reached the Yellow Hall Realm, and they all were stronger than Zhao Yafu.

If the girl’s words were true, what should they do?
