“Murong Qingyan got real lucky this time.” sneered Murong Qingxue, “There came a mysterious man out of no where and saved her life.”
“Do you have any idea who the mysterious man could possibly be?” asked Liu Mei promptly, “Is he really that powerful?”
“I really have no idea.” shuddered Murong Qingxue when she thought about the man, “But his cultivation is so strong that it comes to a point of horrific, he lifted a finger and Family Master got severely injured! I’m afraid all of us combined is no match for him!”
“Really?” asked Liu Mei, her voice shaking. But soon a cold smile crawled up to her face, “Xue, but there’s one thing that I’m sure, even though that mysterious man has saved Murong Qingyan, no way would there be something going on between them. We don’t need to worry.”
Murong Qingxue nodded as a reply.
Murong Qingxue and Liu Mei were in a turmoil even though they tried to comfort each other by saying the case of stolen Recovery Elixir would only be a case of pendency with Murong Qingyan’s leaving.
Three days had passed since Murong Qingyan’s leaving.
Murong Xiong and the other Elders spent three days trying to restore order in the family and a page knocked on the door of Ruxue House this morning and told Murong Qingxue that the Family Master was waiting for her.
Murong Qingxue was transfixed on the spot when she heard Murong Xiong was waiting for her, she couldn’t even utter a word. Liu Mei stepped forward and told the page to leave first, Murong Qingxue would be there in a second.
Liu Mei caught hold of Murong Qingxue’s hand and looked at her in the eyes, “Xue, you need to calm down and pull yourself together now. Do you remember what I told you the other day? We know nothing about the Recovery Elixir, you know nothing about the Recovery Elixir, all right?”
Murong Qingxue reminded herself to breathe and listened to what her mother was saying, then she forced herself to calm down. She squeezed her mother’ hands and comforted her, “Mother, don’t worry, I won’t give ourselves away. I will just act innocent and say I don’t know no matter what Family Master and the Elders ask me.”
“Good girl,” Liu Mei heaved a sigh of relief. “I won’t keep nagging you then, just go to see the master now, otherwise it will incur some suspicion.”
Murong Qingxue took a few more deep breaths and stepped out of Ruxue House.
Liu Mei kept chanting the name of Buddha seeing Murong Qingxue’s retiring figure, she hoped her daughter would power through this.

Everything looked so familiar, Murong Xiong took the seat of honor, and Elders were sitting on either sides, just like when they interrogated Murong Qingyan three days ago. The only difference was Murong Xiyi and Murong Xili didn’t show up this day.
Murong Xiong stilled looked livid after three days recuperating, he had spat a mouthful of blood after all. The Elders also looked quite sulken even though they weren’t heavily injured.
Murong Qingxue cringed at the door despite she thought she had prepared well enough. But soon she collected herself and walked into the guest hall.
She bowed to Murong Xiong and the Elders, “Greetings, Family Master and Respected Elders.”
“Xue, do you know why are we seeing you here today?” asked Murong Rui.
While Murong Xiong kept a poker face sitting motionlessly in the seat of honor, no one could tell what he was thinking.
“Please excuse me for my ignorance and enlighten me.” was the reply.
The Elders exchanged a look, disapproving. They didn’t buy it when she said she had no idea, Murong Qingyan accused Murong Qingxue of stealing the Recovery Elixir in front of so many people, no way had she already forgotten.
“Xue, there’s no need to beat around the bush at this point.” Murong Rui looked a bit impatient now, he looked at Murong Qingxue and asked directly, “Your sister says it’s you who has stolen the Recovery Elixir, we’d like to hear what you have to say about that.”
