Chen Wenwen panicked for a second, then she put the plant into her Interspatial Ring and said, “I found this first, this is mind, don’t you even try to steal it from me!”
“You idiot!” Murong Qingyan shouted in an exasperated voice, with that she grabbed Chen Wenwen’s hand and stared to run.
“Ugly face, what did you just call me, I know you are jealous, but how dare you!” Chen Wenwen shook Murong Qingyan’s arm and halted, “You need to apologize to me right now!”
“Chen Wenwen, you know we are at the Gloomy Forest, right?” Murong Qingyan glared at Chen Wenwen and said, “But do you know why this river is so placid and there was no Demonic Beast coming near the river when we took the bath? It’s because there is an almighty beast by the river guarding this plant! I can’t believe you picked it now that you know what it is!”
Murong Qingyan had also seen the Scarlet Herb when she was in the river, it wasn’t until that moment did she understand why this river was so placid. But she figured it should be fine as long as she and Chen Wenwen behaved themselves.

“Don’t just leave me like this!” Chen Wenwen panicked when she saw Murong Qingyan striding away, she followed up in fear. Plus, she didn’t want Murong Qingyan arrive at their spot before her in case Murong Qingyan would accuse her in front of her brother and Huangfu Jue, she still wanted to tell her brother that Murong Qingyan just called her an idiot and she wanted her brother to hold justice for her.
Murong Qingyan walked really fast, but still it was too late.
Murong Qingyan grabbed Chen Wenwen and took a few steps back as she felt danger looming up ahead of them. Chen Wenwen didn’t know what was going on, she saw Murong Qingyan staring somewhere in front of them with a solemn face, she also took a look in front of them, she turned pale with fright by just one look.
A serpent emerged out of nowhere, it was about ten meters long and two meters wide! The serpent had got a triangle shaped head and a pair of red eyes, killing intent filled those big red eyes. There were two little horns on each side of its forehead, it was such a scary-looking being!
Murong Qingyan took a deep breath and withdrew her sword from her sleeve, she won’t give up without having a fight even though she knew she didn’t stand a chance confronted with such a being! She couldn’t even tell which lever this demonic serpent was, but she knew no way she could subdue a serpent of this size.
Murong Qingyan was counting on Xiao Bai at the moment, they shared telepathy, Xiao Bai could feel it whenever she was in danger. So she decided to stall for as long as possible, she knew Xiao Bai would let Huangfu Jue know she was in danger, and she knew Huangfu Jue could tame this being.
Unlike Murong Qingyan who was still thinking about a way out, Chen Wenwen couldn’t function at all faced with such a demonic serpent, she couldn’t feel her legs and her knees were shaking.
The serpent hissed in front of the two girls, and it stared at them with its light-bulb shaped eyes.

“No!” Chen Wenwen refused to give up on the treasure, “It’s mine, I won’t give it away.”

“I won’t just give up on my treasure to others without putting up a fight!” Chen Wenwen screamed at Murong Qingyan, “Have you forgotten what you have promised my brother when we agreed to travel together three days ago?
