Inside Wang Ke’s office!

The Lightning Whips constraining Zhang Li’er were retracted after Tong An’an and his men were captured, releasing her instantly.

Zhang Li’er landed on the floor; only then did she realize she was half naked after all the electric shocks and the flames she generated with essence Qi. To top it off, the remaining parts of her clothes were completely wet.

Once she saw herself like that, she finally realized why Wang Ke had spoken about wetness and seduction. It was more like flashing than seduction as things stood.

“Wang Ke, you bast*rd. I’m going to kill you!” Zhang Li’er cried out in humiliation and anger.

She was certain that Wang Ke had planned the whole thing. She had only wanted to knock the guy out and grab his money, but little did she expect she would fall into that trap. Not only that, Wang Ke even went there to gloat and shame her. An irreconcilable grudge had been born that day.

She took out a new set of clothing from her storage bangle and got dressed before leaving the bathroom, ready to seek revenge.

“Ring!”

Suddenly, a blue light shined brightly in the office again. The Immobilizing Radiance Mirror’s power filled the room and once again encroached upon her.

“Again?” Zhang Li’er said with a stare.

The Golden Crow Token appeared in her hand and she infused it with energy. Golden beams emanated from the token and resisted the blue light.

Murong Luguang channeled energy into the Immobilizing Radiance Mirror through the guidance flag, while supported by his junior apprentice-brother.

“Eldest apprentice-brother, there’s a change on the guidance flag. What’s happening?” a junior asked.

“I’m not sure either; but I can sense that the force resisting the mirror grew stronger!” Murong Luguang frowned.

“The mirror is being obstructed? That means that Tong An’an also has an Astral Infant artifact too. How else could he withstand the Immobilizing Radiance Mirror? Eldest apprentice-brother, should we go up there and take a look?” that junior asked again.

“We can’t; we need to use the guidance flag to keep Tong An’an in place. He would be set free once I retract my energy, and he would surely take the chance to flee. That’s why I can’t leave!” Murong Luguang said with a frown.

“What should we do then?”

“Didn’t we send a group of juniors up already? They should be doing something about it already!” Murong Luguang waited in anticipation.

Right at that moment—the door to their reserved room was swung open.

“Eldest apprentice-brother, bad news!” a junior rushed in.

“What happened? Didn’t you head to the top floor to capture Tong An’an? Why didn’t you do it? I’m already suppressing him here!” the shocked Murong Luguang asked.

“There are disciples from the Golden Crow Sect guarding the office. They said that Wang Ke ordered them to prevent anyone from disturbing him and stopped us from going in. Zhang Shenxu and his men are guarding the place. We can’t get in!” that junior reported anxiously.

“You couldn’t go in at such a critical time?” Murong Luguang stared at them.

But the newly arrived junior could only return a bitter smile. “We didn’t dare create too much of a disturbance. After all, there are too many powerful cultivators in the building right now. It would be an embarrassment for our sect if we really broke out into a fight!”

“You should have explained to Zhang Shenxu clearly then!” Murong Luguang urged.

His junior replied, “I told him, but he wouldn’t listen! He said he had promised to work as Wang Ke’s security guard, so he was dead set on fulfilling his duty!”

“Damn. Is something wrong with Zhang Shenxu’s brain? Go and explain the situation again. Tell him I’m using the Immobilizing Radiance Mirror to restrain the demon in Wang Ke’s office. Tell him I’m behind all this and we request his cooperation!” Murong Luguang instructed.

“Understood!”

“And another thing, send more people. Oh yes, inform the other juniors to go outside and encircle the tower; don’t let the demons escape. And, where is Hall Lord Mo? Isn’t he waiting outside God Wang Tower? Ask him to head to the top floor and settle this matter!” Murong Luguang commanded.

“Right away!” the junior running the errand responded before leaving swiftly.

All the junior disciples in the cafeteria were on the move.

At the same time, Wang Ke and Zhang Zhengdao were arguing heatedly, going tit for tat. Zhang Zhengdao wanted to get some extra benefits due to his supposed part in capturing the demon, but Wang Ke would have none of it!

The two of them reached the elevator door and met with one of Wang Ke’s subordinates.

“Clan Lord, a guest came with a complaint!” that subordinate reported with a worried look.

“A complaint? One of our insurance customers? Are they thinking about canceling the insurance? Have you made them aware of the negligence clause? If they want to cancel, they will at most be refunded with two thousand pounds of spirit stones!” Wang Ke said with a frown.

“Wang Ke, how shameless can you be? The guy spent five thousand pounds for the insurance plan, and you only refund two thousand?” Zhang Zhengdao gasped.

Wang Ke rolled his eyes and said, “You know nothing! Also, you’ll be getting less commission if customers cancel!”

Zhang Zhengdao’s face froze upon hearing that last part. “You must be joking! How dare he think about canceling the insurance! Wang Ke, you have my support!”

Wang Ke ignored him and looked at his subordinate.

“Clan Lord, it’s not about a cancellation. It’s about the cafeteria on the second floor!” said the subordinate with an awkward smile.

“What happened to the cafeteria?” Wang Ke was puzzled.

His subordinate replied with a helpless smile, “Murong Luguang took a bunch of disciples to the cafeteria and occupied all the seats. They didn’t order any food or beverages and are merely hogging the place; the rest of the customers can’t even get in and people are complaining. We don’t know what to do!”

“What is he doing?” Wang Ke said with annoyance, “ It’s okay if he doesn’t buy any insurance, but how dare he prevent my cafeteria from earning money? What is he trying to do?”

“We don’t know either. Hall Lord Mo Sanshan reserved a room, but then left a while later. Murong Luguang then stayed in the room and hasn’t come out yet. His juniors also stopped anyone from approaching the room! We couldn’t do anything since he’s the eldest apprentice-brother of the Heavenly Wolf Sect!” that subordinate reported helplessly.

“Obstructing one’s way of earning money is like killing one’s parents!” Wang Ke said in frustration, “Murong Luguang, you’re going too far! How dare you bring your juniors to obstruct my business? Come, lead the way!”

“Yes, boss!” said the subordinate.

And so, the three of them took the elevator and arrived at the cafeteria. But just moments before—all the Heavenly Wolf Sect disciples were sent to the top floor by Murong Luguang.

“Hmm? Where are all those people? How come it’s empty now? Clan Lord, I’m not lying. I told you the truth!” the subordinate said, trying to justify himself.

“It’s okay!” Wang Ke nodded.

He trusted his men.

The three of them entered the cafeteria and walked up to the bar. The subordinate checked with the bartender to find out more about what was happening.

“Clan Lord, they were here just now, but they left all of a sudden. However, Murong Luguang and a few juniors are still inside the reserved room!” the subordinate explained.

“Wang Ke, Murong Luguang is really stirring sh*t for you, huh? Is he waiting inside to negotiate with you?” Zhang Zhengdao asked curiously.

Wang Ke thought about it for a moment with narrowed eyes. He brought people to obstruct my business and then had them leave?

“Could it be that… Murong Luguang saw that my business was a success, and he also wants a slice of the pie?” Wang Ke said doubtfully.

“Murong Luguang, jealous of your success? And he wants to snatch your insurance business? Zhang Zhengdao asked, feeling astonished.

“Of course, what else could it be? This cafeteria?” Wang Ke replied.

“Eldest apprentice-brother, aren’t we being too forceful?” a junior asked, feeling worried.

“It’s okay, as long as we can capture Tong An’an!” Murong Luguang replied.

That junior said, “I’m not worried about Tong An’an; I’m worried about Wang Ke. He’s in the top-floor office right now… Wouldn’t he be severely injured because the Immobilizing Radiance Mirror is releasing too much power?
