Book 2 Chapter 12.2 â Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos
The deeper he dove, the greater the water pressure became. The gigantic water pressure pressed down on Li Yang from all sides, and Li Yang frantically circulated the Xiantian qi within his body. The power of his physical body erupted, resisting the gigantic water pressure. Li Yang found that it was difficult to even move his arm.
Li Yangâs face even began to slightly turn red. âHow long will I have to endure this for? I donât think I can hold on anymore if we go down any more!â Li Yang already began to feel the terrifying water pressure.
âAlright, just this place then. This great river truly is deep, or else it wouldnât be able to fulfill Overlordâs requirements!â After Overlord Xiang Yu said those words, Li Yang exhaled on the spot. He immediately began to circulate his Xiantian qi, stopping himself within the water.
âAlthough the underwater flow is great, it still canât shake me!â When Li Yang was training the Evasion Technique, he was able to appreciate many things and became assimilated within those things. He was extremely familiar with the characteristics of water, so currently, he was still following the original force of the water to control his own body.
Li Yang crossed his legs and closed his eyes. Meanwhile, the powerful Overlord Xiang Yu assumed a protective role, after all, no one could be certain what might appear within this great river. Li Yang was at ease as he handed the protection duties to Xiang Yu. The internal qi within his body circulated, resisting the water pressure. Immediately after, his mind entered his sea of consciousness.
His sea of consciousness was vast and without boundaries. That region within his sea of consciousness was emitting endless rays of light, and it was caused by the âDevil Godâs Six Extremes,â attracting Li Yang. Li Yangâs mind was just like last time, immediately entering the center. With a thought, he opened up the third extreme of the âDevil Godâs Six Extremesâ â âSplitting Rivers and Dividing the Ocean.â
Li Yang finally saw the âSplitting Rivers and Diving the Oceanâ scene.
Waterfall!
Water from the âmilky wayâ dripped down from above the ninth heaven, forming a heavenly overflowing waterfall. The waterfall was vast and boundless, its height beyond measurement. Even though it was merely an image, Li Yang could hear the booming sounds caused by that heavenly overflowing waterfall as it crashed down.
Underneath the waterfall was an ocean that stretched as far as the eyes could see. Water flowed down endlessly, and the ocean became bigger and biggerâŚ
Suddenly, a young taoist lept over the space and came over. The young taoistâs fingers were sparkling and translucent, casually drawing out a stroke towards the vast ocean. What was horrifying was that following that stroke, the ocean was split into two halfs. The young taoist lightly flung his sleeves, and the divided ocean immediately disappeared, only leaving behind that waterfall from the ninth heaven, rumbling loudly as it cascadedâŚ
âPay attention to the trajectory of that taoistâs finger!â Xiang Yuâs voice rang out.
Li Yang immediately repeated that scene, carefully observing that taoistâs effortless stroke. However, he didnât know what was wrong, but he just couldnât see that trajectory clearly. He could only vaguely see the secret natural lawâs trajectory.
Li Yang immediately returned his mind to its original location. Controlling his own body, his right hand meticulously imitated that trajectory. However, imitating it turned out to be rather difficult. Even though Li Yang saw that little bit, he could only imitate the little bit that he saw. His mind was completely unable to provide what he was missing while he imitated the movements.
Li Yangâs right hand casually drew out a stroke, and during the moment the right hand made the stroke, Li Yang felt that his mind merged with that vast river. In that instant, even if a small fish blinked its eyes a few times, Li Yang would still be able to feel it. In that mere instant, his understanding of water became much more profound.
What amazed Li Yang even more was that previously, it was incomparably difficult for him to move within the water. Now, however, he could effortlessly cut through the water.
âOverlord, why canât I clearly see that taoistâs movements?â Even though Li Yang could see a little bit, that amount was not enough for him to successfully imitate it. He barely copied a small portion, yet this small bit could already allow him to be one with this river; this made Li Yang completely shocked.
Overlord Xiang Yu sighed as he spoke. âThat is because Overlord has not completely understood it, and only had small accomplishments in this. That is why the âSplitting Rivers and Diving the Oceanâ Overlord gave you is unclear. You can only see the part that Overlord has gained insights into. In fact, the âSplitting Rivers and Diving the Oceanâ from a certain perspective is an external representation of the Great Primal Chaosâ natural laws.
âNatural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos?â When Li Yang heard this, his heart immediately shook.
âRight, precisely Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos!â Xiang Yuâs tone was full of longing, and incomparable longing.
Suddenly, Xiang Yu helplessly sighed and said, âThe Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos issomething that not a single person has been able to completely understand from the ancient desolate times until now within all six realms. According to Sovereign Chi Youâs words, these âDevil Godâs Six Extremesâ all came from the external displays of the Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos. As for that young taoist, sovereign Chi You suspects that he was the great taoist born within the Primal Chaos. In the past, the Great Deity Pangu and the great taoist were born within the Primal Chaos, detached from the six realms! They understood the Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos upon birth! The Great Deity Pangu split the heavens and earth apart, and after creating various dimensions, he disappeared. The great taoist also disappeared.â
TL: Pangu is supposed to be the creator of the universe in Chinese mythology. Pangu was also mentioned several times in another work by IET: Desolate Era!
Li Yang immediately asked out of curiosity, âWhy did that sovereign Chi You guess that this young taoist was the great taoist then?
Xiang Yu immediately said, âOutside of Pangu and the great taoist who were born within the Primal Chaos, who could comprehend the Natural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos? The âDevil Godâs Six Extremesâ that sovereign Chi You passed down onto me was also imperfect, because sovereign Chi You reached the âAbsolute Supreme Circleâ level, which was second only to the âNatural Laws of the Great Primal Chaos.â
â
Within the six realms, the sovereign level characters of each realm achieved the âAbsolute Supreme Circleâ level. For example, the three Qing of the Immortal Realm, the three sovereigns of the Devil Realm, as well as the sovereign level characters of the other Realms.
The cultivation levels of the Devil Realm and Immortal Realms: Immortal (Devil), Celestial Immortal (Devil General), Golden Celestial Immortal (Devil Commander), Immortal of the Ninth Heaven (Devil King), Immortal Monarch (Devil Monarch), Immortal Emperor (Devil Emperor); Six great ranks!
â
âThe great taoist understood the Primal Chaosâ Natural Laws, and so all movements contained the natural laws. As man, we are inadequate, and could only rely on the Dao to move and imitate the great taoistâs trajectory, thus gaining insights into the natural laws. Although we cannot truly understand it, it can still improve our mental cultivation.â Xiang Yu sighed as he spoke.
Right, not even anyone within the six Realms could understand, so who dared to say that they understood it themselves? Thatâs why they could only imitate anotherâs movements, and even though they were giving up on the original, this was still a type of shortcut. If even sovereign Chi You and other figures were imitating, could Li Yang boast shamelessly that he himself could understand the natural laws?
As a result, Li Yang could only exhaustingly cultivate at the base of the river.
â
A night passed, and Li Yang who was cultivating at the base of the Hudson River completed his training. He slowly opened his eyes, and with a stroke of his right hand, a strand of Xiantian qi was accumulated with it.
Xiu!
Xiantian qi firmly shot out ten meters out, penetrating through a solid rock underwater.
âThe power increased by at least ten times. I Â reached this stage just by copying the trajectory. If I completely understood the Natural Laws of the Primal Chaos, just how much would my attack power reach?â When Li Yang thought of this, he couldnât help but slightly smile. He activated the Evasion Technique to leave the waters, hurrying back to his villa.
