C297 â Strolling the Streets
We were on vacation and wandered around the city, but there were few stores that Linnecarlo and Alana liked, so we really spent a lot of time just hanging out.
As far as Iâm concerned, thereâs nothing to buy.
Linnecarlo said with disappointment, as she was secretly looking forward to shopping.
âI suppose it canât be helped. This is a city built for the military, so thereâs probably no demand for female customers.â
âWell, there are a lot of women in the military.â
âBut there are only a few in total, after all and Iâm sure those stores have more sales.â
Alana said as she looked at the stores with a mature atmosphere that lined the slightly suspicious streets of the back alleys.
âHeyâŚWhatâs that place for?â
âNanami asked Alana out of pure curiosity.â
âItâs a place for men to relieve their stress. It depends on what you want to do there.â
âThatâs right. If it can relieve menâs stress, why donât you go there too, Yuta?â
Alana and Linnecarlo reacted to Nanamiâs words, as did Nagisa.
They yelled at her in a fierce manner, and Nanami, who didnât understand what they meant, was seriously startled and half sobbed.
âUghâŚâŚbecause Yuta is always busyâŚâŚand Nanami is worriedâŚâŚabout him and wants him to heal.â
I knew she was saying this for my sake, and it still made me feel a little sad. I put my hand on Nanamiâs head and said,
âThank you, Nanami. But I donât hate my life now, and Iâm not that stressed out.â
Iâm tired, but I donât really feel that stressed because Iâm blessed with good friends.
When I told her that, Nanami returned to her good smile.
âAnyway, Nagisa. My instincts warned me not to, so I refused on the spur of the moment, but what exactly does that store do?â
Linnecarlo asked Nagisa in a whisper. The reason she didnât ask Alana was probably because of some weird rivalry.
âIf you want to be specificâŚâŚI donât know either.â
âYou donât? Youâre very strongly against it.â
âIâm only vaguely familiar with it, so why donât you askâŚâŚAlana?â
âI donât want to. Sheâll think Iâm an idiot for not knowing.â
Both of them seemed to think they were whispering to each other, but I could hear them, so of course Alana could hear them, too.
âWhat, Linnecarlo, you donât know anything about that?â
âIâm sorry aboutâŚâŚ.â
âLet me tell you something then.â
As she said this, Alana put her face close to Linnecarloâs ear and began to explain something in a whisper.
âDamn you! How dare you!â
I was curious as to what it was all about, but Alanaâs voice was too quiet to hear.
âAlana, Linnecarlo is not fair, you should tell Nanami and the others.â
Nanami, Farma, and Himari ask Alana with curious faces.
âNo, youâre not ready for this.â
Alana is fumbling around with muddled words as if she canât explain properly.
âWhy donât we have some tea? Iâm tired of walking.â
When Alana was persistently pressed by the three, Nagisa offered a helping hand.
âYouâre right. Letâs do that.â
I guess it doesnât matter where we go anymore.
