Episode 82 – My Body And Face Are Burning

Rin is on my bed and her face is super close to mine.

My body and face are burning and I feel dizzy..

This is bad…..this situation is bad.

It’s been like this since morning…..

Perhaps……I’ll even have to miss school.

[Beep-beep♪ Beep-beep♪]

“Hm- 38.4℃, it’s a normal fever. Take the day off from school today.”

It’s not that I’m not worried about leaving Rin in charge of cooking, but you can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs. Rin lived alone with father in the U.S., so it’s different from back then.

–I haven’t had a fever in years. If I had been alone at a time like this, I would have been very anxious.

I was so glad that Rin was here.

It was such a serious situation that she called her brother who had a high fever….so I rushed to the kitchen.

I saw an amount of bubbles that I have never seen before spilling out of the pot.

I quickly turned off the heat.

“Rin, what did you do? I mean, what did you do to make this happen?”

“No, I just washed the rice normally and followed the procedure…”

It seems that she was looking at a recipe site on her smartphone.

I looked around the kitchen and saw that the detergent was almost half empty.

“Hey Rin….did you maybe….wash the rice with detergent….?”

“Yeah ! I washed it clean ! I’m not sure how to get rid of the slime ! But I’m sure it’ll be fine once it’s on heat !”

What do you mean by slimy?……I mean, washing rice with detergent is something that even careless heroines in anime wouldn’t do……

“I……I see…….”

“I’ll make the meal…….Rin, you sit tight.”

“Yeah…..I’ll do that.”

I took only Rin’s thoughts and ended up preparing breakfast for Rin as well.

After this, when I took my temperature, it was up to 39.2℃.
