After my Heart Tool awakened after the incident with Megiddo-san, Iām now trying to use it once a day to improve my proficiency. Well, letās be patient and let it grow little by little.
Having such a thought in mind, I looked at the large magic kiln in front of me. This is the magic kiln that Illness-san and Nebula purchased, and it was delivered and installed the other day.
The design is quite stylish, and it doesnāt look out of place in the backyard. It doesnāt emit any smoke, and the two seem to be satisfied with its performance.
[Thank you for waitiiiiiiing.]
[Thank youā¦ā¦ So these are the teacups that Nebula and Illness-san made?]
[Yes! This is our first creation!]
Illness-san puts a cup of tea in front of me as I sit down. This cup was made by Nebula and Illness-san, and I was allowed to have their first creation.
However, as to be expected from the two of them, even their first creation is so beautifully made that I would have just agreed if they told me this was store-boughtā¦ā¦ and when I pour the tea into it, thereās a flower-like pattern appearing on the rimā¦ā¦ Unnn?
[Arehh? A pattern appeared?]
[Yes! The pattern should emerge based on the temperature of the cup. These are just made for private use, so I added them just for fun.]
[Heehhhā¦ā¦ Interestingā¦ā¦]
Come to think of it, I had certainly heard of cups like that before that were able to react to temperatures. Even so, the pattern on this teacup is amazing. Itās beautiful and colorful, and itās also interesting how the teacup, which is white at first, is now gorgeously colored when tea is poured into it.
When I actually drink the tea, I found that the cup is easy to hold and drink from. It seems that the functionality of the teacups was also well thought out.
[Incidentally, we also made tea cups with patterns from the start.]
[We only have 3 varieties of teacups at the momeeeeent, but we are still experimentiiiiing. The depth of potteryyyyyy is very deep and interestiiiiiing.]
[Right. After we get more accustomed to it, it will be interesting to add functions such as engraving magic formulas in it to keep the cup warm.]
[With a cup of this size, can you put in a magic crystal of a size that can contain that magic formula?]
[If we combine several super-small magic crystals and make them work together to activate the magic formula, I think it would be possible. For example, like this~~]
[This iiiiiisā¦ā¦ I seeeeee, this certainly was a wonderful ideaaaaaaa.]
Nebula suggested something and wrote it on the paper, to which Illness-san nodded in admiration. Nebulaās creativity has always been highly praised by Illness-san, so she must have come up with another revolutionary method.
[Rather than making use of a Partitioning Techniiiiiiiique, you opted on partitioning the magic formula itself huuuuuuh? If this is possibleeeeee, there will be a revolution in the production of magic tooooooools.]
[Although it requires some verification, I think it can be done.]
[In order for this to work thouuuuuugh, the material for our potteryyyyyyy would need to be something thatās highly conductible with magic power, donāt you thiiiiiiink?]
[I think it can be done by kneading powderized magic crystals into the dough. The purpose of this step isnāt for engraving a magic formula, but to increase the conductivity of magic power.]
[I see, in that caaaaaseā¦ā¦ How about we try it ouuuut?]
[Yes! Letās try it out!!!]
It seemed like they had come to an agreement and decided to give it a try right away. As I watched them discussing the details while drinking my tea, smiling as I thought they really are good friendsā¦ā¦ a hummingbird flew in.
Wondering who it was from, I found out that it was from Rosemary-sanā¦ā¦ and the subject was about that thing Camellia-san had mentioned to me before. It was a consultation of my schedule, asking me when I would be available to visit her home in the Garden of Myriad Flowers.
I had heard about it before and I also wanted to visit Rosemary-sanās home, so I sent her a reply confirming when she would be free.
At that moment, an idea occurred to me, and I approached Illness-san and Nebula, who were in the middle of their discussion.
[ā¦ā¦Itās fine if itās only possible, but Iām planning to visit Rosemary-sanās home soon, so Iām wondering if I could bring the teacups you both made?]
[By Rosemary-san, you were talking about the flower-loving Spirit who came to visit our home before, right?]
[Unnn, thatās rightā¦]
[In that caaaaase, I think it might be betteeeeeer if we make a new one that suits her preferenceeeeeees.]
[I agree! It seems that sheās a Rose Spirit, so letās make something with a rose motif!]
It was just an idea I had suddenly come up with, but they were more enthusiastic than expected, as they talked about making a cup exclusively for Rosemary-san.
Ahh~~ But it was certainly true that Rosemary-san seemed to like tea, and since she invited me to her home, it would be nice if we could bring her some cups as a souvenir.(Note: I donāt know how many cups Kaito will bring, but you would usually give teacups as a set, right?)
[That sounds like a good idea. If itās okay with you two, can I ask you to make some for Rosemary-sanā¦ā¦]
[Yeeees. Please leave it to uuuuuus.]
[Weāll make something sheāll definitely like~~]
They really seemed to be enjoying making pottery, as they pleasantly smiled at my words. Iām certainly looking forward to visiting Rosemary-sanās home, but I was also looking forward to the souvenir tea cups that I would bring along with me.

[Afterword]
Serious-senpai : [Kaito is like an idiotic parent when it comes to Nebula, so he didnāt notice it at allā¦ā¦ but for Illness to describe her suggestion as something on the level of āsomething that will bring a revolution in the production of magic toolsā, wouldnāt that mean Nebula suggested a technique that is new in that worldā¦ā¦]
