I havenât gone to school with my sister since elementary school.
We used to go to school together with our school bags on our backs. I thought how weâve grown up. Itâs been more than five years. Kids grow up so fast.
My sister and I wore windbreakers to school. We were dressed lazily and uniforms werenât needed for my sister to come to school. Because she looks like an athlete.
When we arrived at the school, my sister exclaimed, âOh~â
âSo this is Nii-chanâs high school?â
âYeah. Iâm a weirdo, but this is a pretty good high school. Donât worry, itâs not a zoo. You wonât get eaten alive.â
âGood work, Nii-chan.â
âThis is nothing.â
âItâs pretty good, huh?â
âCall me if you need anything. Donât wander around the school building. But since youâre dressed like an athlete, they wonât notice.â
âRoger!â
My sister ran past the school gate. It seems that sheâs healthy.
I decided to go to the Rose Garden for now.
Thinking back, I donât know where to find her in the school. That venomous-tongued rose called me one-sidedly. At least tell me where to meet you before you hang up.
I walked into the quiet school building and headed for the Rose Garden. If sheâs here, thatâs where sheâll be.
I opened the door to the Rose Garden, and sure enough, Arina was there in her uniform.
âWow, youâre wearing your uniform.â
âThatâs amazing, you actually can wear clothes.â
âSomehow youâre complimenting me like Iâm a caveman. Iâm pretending to be an athlete because I didnât want to wear my uniform.â
âEven though itâs easy for you to be mistaken for a pill bug. Pretending to be an athlete is reckless.â
I can never win against her. So I walked away.
âWhat do we do now?â
âLetâs go to Akakusa-sensei.â
The sound of our footsteps echoed in the quiet school. We arrived at the staff room in silence.
âAkakusa-sensei. Weâre here.â
âAra, thank you. Sorry, Sui-kun, itâs your day off.â
âNo, no, itâs for senseiâs sake.â
Arina looked displeased.
âSo, what do you want us to do?â
âI need you to move some things from the nurseâs office.â
âAlright, got it.â
So I came to schoolâŚ. just to dieâŚ
Arina agreed without a single disagreement, âI understandâ. Why does this person have such a different attitude than me?
Please, just let me sleep. But there was no way I could say that to Akakusa-sensei, so we headed to the infirmary as soon as possible.
As soon as we unlocked the door, Akakusa-sensei told us what to do.
âFirst of all, Sui-kun, can you take this to the front of the staff room?â
âYes maâam.â
I climbed the stairs with a middleweight bookshelf. Why am I doing this?! Iâd rather clean my room than clean the school on my day off.
But Iâm glad Arinaâs here. She would have to do a job she would have refused 120% of the time. The fact that she came means that she has a weakness for Akakusa-sensei. Iâm weak against her too, but in a different way.
I put the shelf near the entrance of the staff room and went back to the infirmary.
âSensei, Iâm done.â
And my body stiffened like lead.
It wasnât a lucky lewd moment. Itâs not like Arina was changing clothes or Akakusa-sensei was undressing. Whenever such a convenient scene descends, itâs only when you aim for it.
Something is wrong with Arina.
It wasnât the cold and intimidating Arina, but a soft, gentle Arina was sitting in the chair. For a moment I thought it was someone who looked like Arina.
And when she saw me, she didnât just get in a bad mood, she nodded to me. Sheâs been cursing me since weâve met, and now sheâs showing respect. This couldnât be happening. Itâs still more likely that the clock will break, land in the pool, and return to itâs original state.
