A Red Lady (1)
At the end of the festival, people’s attention was naturally shifted to trial. It was scheduled to be held as a closed-door trial because the royal family was the victim, but everyone was paying attention to the outcome of the trial.
It was natural since two of the three beauties of the Empire had their necks hanging there too.
Since both families’ of the ladies were arrested at the scene, other aristocratic families connected to the families seemed to be trying to save themselves.
“Oh, my God! Your face is so beautiful, but your behavior

.”
“Why the hell did she do that? What’s lacking in those aristocratic ladies

.”
“Oh, it was because they wanted the position of the Crown Princess!”
“My nephew, who works in the guard, said both young ladies were dragged out in a devilish manner!”
“What happened?”
People clicked their tongues and brought up another young lady who was said to have attracted attention at the wedding ballroom. Since all three major beauties of the empire were like that, they wondered if a new young lady should take their place.
People’s interest in them was that much.

Kernan and his gang were ready to tell the whole story at the drop of a hat. It was because he knew that in a trial like this, the life of a commoner would be considered easier than the weeds trodden in the fields.
However, the officials and investigators who were dispatched to investigate already knew a lot.
Kernan was terrified that the information he knew would be useless. He tried to offer a deal somehow to save his life, but it was torture that came back.
“You bastard!”
It was simply because of the imperial family’s face that their crimes were not properly known. In addition, to protect the Crown Princess from rumors, Cecil planned to kill all those involved in the case.
Therefore, the investigation was conducted by those who the crown prince trusted the most.
Full of loyalty to the Crown Prince, they were determined to torture them and kill them if necessary.
In fact, a man who was arrogant, lost his life under brutal torture. His death was not recorded because he was not in an important position.
‘You can’t do this! I’ve got to get out of here somehow.
.’
Kernan rolled his head in fear of death. It can’t be like this. If the royal family is not willing to trade with the information he has, he should find someone else!
‘With whom?’
The information he gathered was about the Hassler family, or about other family information that Hassler was controlling.
Kernan believed the royal family would use him to accuse the Hasler family, but the investigators dispatched from the imperial family did not seem to need him.
Because of the fact that Kernan played a pivotal role in this case due to other people’s accusations, most of them were looking at him like a bug. Kernan felt this was unfair.
Anyway, he desperately needed to meet someone who was not the crown prince’s person. The problem was that visits were prohibited because the incident couldn’t be leaked out.
Kernan thus confided to the investigator the name of the aristocrat, who was considered to have considerable power, although not comparable to the crown prince.
“

How dare you now speak of the Duke of Valencia!”
A harsh beating continued, but Kernan held out like a sore thumb. He saw that there was a faint hope that he could live.
When he consistently talked about William Valencia, the old Duke, he consoled himself just in case.
The weight of Valencia’s name was considerable, so it was carefully passed on to Cecil.
“Valencia? The a guy with thin hair?”
Cecil laughed at him. The old Duke of Valencia would rather openly rebel, and he was an upright old man who would not commit such an ugly crime.
William Valencia had eight children, two sons and the rest were daughters. There was a son as the eldest, five middle-aged daughters, a son, and a youngest daughter again.
All six of them were married, and he was very fond of the son and daughter he had in her old age. Daniel, his second-to-last son, was a young man who was particularly bummed out for such crimes.
It was all the more so because the youngest sister almost went through such a terrible thing once.
Daniel was also a confidant of Cecil, so it was clear that he would be angry to hear the news. That said, a guy named Kernan is insignificant to the little duke.
He was a negligible fellow, but it bothered him because he seemed to think he had something to trade with the old duke.
‘Or did he know someone who pretended to be the Duke of Valencia?’
In any case, there was no need to instill anxiety in the Duke of Valencia because of such a poor fellow. Cecil, to show his trust, left Kernan entirely to Daniel Valencia, the second son of the Valencia duke.
He’s the one who dared to insult the Duke of Valencia, so just extract the information and punish him as he pleases.
As Cecil expected, Daniel was furious. He jumped up and down in anger, but he wasn’t breaking furniture or shouting. Rather, he was the one who sublimated his anger by swinging his sword and sweating in the gymnasium.
However, the servant quickly soothed him because he had a look filled with anger.
