ăUm, itâs the name of an attack used by an ally of justice, I guess?ă
I wasnât exactly lying.
ăI see! An ally of justice matches Rofas-san! Go, Rofas-san! Use An Pun!ă
Ahh, ahhhh. It felt like I was spitting out blood.
I felt like eating bread right now, for some reason.
A dessert bun or vegetable bun with lots of filling, preferably.
Thatâs right! I was planning to sandwich the dried meat between bread for the bento today! Letâs put some vegetables in it too. Would lettuce work?
Ah, kakuni wrapped in lettuce might taste good as well. I wonder if there are any at the field?
ăKurtz-kun, Iâm going to the field. I think the rice is almost done cooking, so can I leave it to you? Do you know how to adjust the heat?ă
ăOf course! Leave it to me!ă
Kurtz-kun did a guts pose and headed into the hut.
The place was full of holes due to Bryce-kun and Rofas-sanâs intense training. However, for some reason the cliff where the dungeon was was undamaged.
Were they aiming away from the dungeon to prevent rocks from caving in the entrance?
Right as I thought that, a kame-something flew straight at the dungeon.
ăAhh! The soy sauce dungeon!ă
No wait, itâs not called that, and itâs not called the beginner dungeon either. People call it a potion field dungeon, right?
Wait, who cares about the name! If the dungeon gets destroyed, where am I going to work? Iâm still at a lower level than a five-year-old!
Also, all the soy sauce, mirin, and cooking sake!
However, the fireball vanished as soon as it got close to the entrance to the dungeon.
It just disappeared.
There were no damages done to the entrance.
Oh?
Are dungeons a mysterious existence? Was the rocky mountain that the entrance was on made differently than the rest of the cliff?
Was the entrance being protected by magic?
Itâs fantasy! But anyways, thatâs good.
Even if a big earthquake were to occur, the dungeon wouldnât collapse in. I donât have to worry about soy sauce disappearing from this world!
Thatâs a relief.
I climbed up the cliff to where the field was.
Huh? Could it be that, since the field was above the dungeon, it was part of the special magical space?
I tilted my head and made a sharp glance towards the field.
Since the supermarkets in Japan sell all sorts of fruits and vegetables all year long regardless of season, I never really thought that things were strange, butâŚ
The vegetables that are growing in this field, arenât they all ignoring the season and are ripe?
Or could it be that the vegetables in this world only look similar to the ones I know of, and theyâre actually slightly different?
ăWell, whatever. Whatâs important is that there are lots of delicious ready-to-eat vegetables here.ă
Letâs see, lettuce, lettuceâŚ
ăFound some!ă
I found some round-looking lettuce. I grabbed one that looked ready, and went to look for other vegetables I could use.
Are these daikons spicy? Or are they are the sweet kind? Can I made a salad with them?
Ah, but if I make salad, what would I dress it with? Do we have any dressing? âŚI donât have the ingredients to make mayonnaise, and I would want some something like salad oil if I were to put dressing on it. Oh well, maybe next time. If this daikon is spicy, maybe I should boil it.
I grabbed some tomatoes as well, and climbed down the mountain.
Oh shoot, itâs a lot harder than I realize since I donât have a basket or anything on my back.
By the time I finished climbing down the cliff, Rofas-san and Bryce-kun were done training.
I heard a voice come from the hut.
ăUm, the rice, itâs really hot. If you donât cool it down a bit first, your hands will get burned! First, wash your hands, then start forming the rice with wet hands.ă
I heard Kirika-chanâs voice.
I peeked inside the hut, trying not to interrupt whoever was inside. Rofas-san was bent down while following Kirika-chanâs instructions, putting some rice onto a plate.
Thatâs right. We were all going to make yaki-onigiri today to see if the losing potions give effects.
ăThatâs no good, Rofas-san. Youâll crush the rice and itâll get hard.ă
Kirika-chan was a splendid teacher.
ăAh, youâre right, I canât really see the rice grains anymore.ă
He canât see the rice grains? That means, he made a dango⌠But dangos taste good too.
ăUwah, there are a lot of rice grains stuck on my hand.ă
ăKurtz-kun-oniichan, Kirika told you to wash your hands before forming the rice, no?ă
ăAh, I forgot to!ă
ăHey Bryce, yours looks pretty good.ă
ăNo, I canât make it into a triangle like Yuuri-san⌠What do I need to do to make it triangular?ă
ăLook, Kirika made one already!ă
Fufufu, they look like theyâre having a lot of fun.
Iâve never cooked together with my husband, since he thought that men shouldnât enter the kitchenâŚ
