âWhere are Your Highnesses going!â
Raphael shouted at Rosé and Ferre, who had jumped off their seats like little frogs.
The twins looked back and tilted their heads to the side. And as two bright smiles graced their faces, Raphael winced in shock.
They had been very quiet ever since they started being under Seraâs tutelage, but right now, with both Sera and Helios gone from their side, there was no one to temper their mischievous behavior.
Seeing them jump down from their seats instead of just sitting gave him a bad feeling.
And, sure enough. Just as ever, any bad feeling of his that anticipated whatâs to come always proved to be accurate.
âWeâre gonna go look for Sera!â
Rose and Ferre, who were holding each otherâs hands tightly, declared this loudly in unison.
âWeâre gonna go play with Sera. Itâs so boring here.â
âYeah, me and RosĂ© are gonna go see Sera.â
Soon, Rosé and Ferre waddled off the platform.
Terribly worried that the children really were going, Raphael beckoned them over to him and asked them to come back.
âThere are a lot of people around, so itâll be difficult for Your Highnesses to find her. Rather than that, Iâll go call someone to bring her to you. Please come back here.â
However, instead of doing that, the children gave him two bright smiles as they waved at him. It was the clear gesture of saying goodbye, see you later!
âYour Highnesses⊠Please wait!â
For a moment, Raphael gasped.
He ran after them belatedly, and so he couldnât catch up to them.
The twins didnât even look back as they jumped right into the crowd of adults who were twice as big as them.
Raphael could only gape at the twinsâ shocking actions.
âOther than your faces, do Your Highnesses have any other resemblances with Heli?! Heli never acted so stubbornly like this!â
With his thoughts shouting like a roar, he glared at the knights.
As he thought, âItâs not like you guys donât know that Their Highnesses are two walking disasters! If I didnât manage to catch them, you all should have!â he also gave them a reproachful glower.
Feeling Raphaelâs stinging gaze, the knights gulped.
After getting a glance like that, they all knew well enough that their ears would fall off from all the scolding.
âHaa. Please, I just hope there wonât be an incident.â
With scathing eyes, Raphael looked at the knights. He then closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh. Thereâs no use crying over spilt milk.
Now that itâs come to this, he couldnât even order the knights to look for the twin prince and princess.
Since theyâre looking for Sera now, he could only hope that the wise Sera would bring the twins back without any incident.
Like loach fishes, Rosé and Ferre crisscrossed between the people who were dressed in colorful gowns and dapper suits.
Some nobles recognized who they were and greeted them, but RosĂ© and Ferre couldnât spare them any time.
Likewise, most nobles were too busy with whatever they were doing that they didnât truly see the twins properly.
Now that they had a completely different view compared to what they saw on the platform, they slowly, gradually lost their sense of direction.
From that place, they could find someone at just one glance. But then finding Sera amidst this crowd was like finding a needle in a haystack.
They should have just listened to Raphael.
âRosĂ©, just where is Sera?â
Ferre let out a long sigh and whined.
âI donât know. I donât even know where we are now. Is that the exit?â
Rosé pointed one finger towards a large door. However, as she herself was unsure, she had an anxious look on her face.
âThen is Sera on the other side? Which way did we come anywayâŠâ
âI donât know. So many people are dancing around. Itâs like my head is spinning.â
Holding each otherâs hands tightly, the brother and sister went on their tiptoes and craned their necks.
They couldnât see anything in front of them. They were just surrounded entirely by the adultsâ big dresses and tall pants.
As they were trapped in by people, they tried to charge ahead, but this time, they were hit here and there in the process.
They tried to endure, but their tiny bodies were easily swept away.
Then, thuuud. Ferreâs face hit the body of a large man who looked quite handsome.
As he was squished to the side, Ferreâs hand slipped from RosĂ©âs hand, and then he let go.
âYour Highness, Iâm so sorry!â
As he found out who he had collided into just then, the large man glanced down at Ferre with shock and apologized right away.
Ah. So itâs his belly that Ferre ran into.
Ferre breathed out a sigh of relief, thinking that itâs great that itâs a soft belly instead of a hard belly like his Heli Hyungâs.
âIâm okay. I have a big heart like my Heli Hyung, so I forgive you!â
âYâŠYour Highness is truly wise.â
The man bowed over and apologized again.
It didnât put him in a bad mood though. But, hey, Ferre felt as if he had forgotten something.
âWhatâs the matter, Your Highness?â
The man looked anxiously at Ferre, feeling uncomfortable when the prince started rubbing his temples.
He was staring into the manâs eyes when he suddenly remembered.
âRosĂ©!â cried Ferre.
He was holding her hand just now! Ferre looked around quickly.
As Ferre turned away, the man behind him seemed to be calling out to him, but nowâs not the time to care about that.
Just in time, he found RosĂ©âs short arm sticking out from the adultsâ gowns and pants.
He ran forward so he could hold that hand again, but that hand disappeared in a blink of an eye.
With a whimper, Ferre squeezed through the gaps between people.
âUhh⊠Where are you, RosĂ©?â
No matter how hard he looked for RosĂ©, he couldnât find her anywhere.
Everywhere he looked, there was not one face that he knew, and this made his heart sink to the ground for a moment. Ferre bit his lips.
He had never been left alone in a banquet hall alone. Heli was always next to him and Rosé, with whom he was always holding hands.
There were so many people, but Ferre was paralyzed here because he didnât know what to do.
At a loss, tears started welling up in his eyes, and the adults around him belatedly noticed that there was a child right there.
âYour Highness, whatâs the matter?â
âWhat troubles you so, Your Highness? Wait, but how did youâŠâ
When he saw that the people around him were trying to give him a helping hand, Ferre suddenly cried out.
âI just⊠I just went with R-RosĂ© because we want to⊠to find SeraâŠâ
The corners of his lips went down to a pout, and his tears welled-up to the point that they might flow down his pink cheeks any second now.
âYour Highness Ferreritan!â
