âDonât worry, Noel. It was helpful. To me.â
Rieta leant down on the window frame and began to write each and every name tag she and Noel had spent all day making.
Originally, she doubted she could have memorized anything while playing like that, but now she knew.
This was a very good way to study.
âLook, I memorized it right?â
Rieta smiled softly, sticking out the paper.
Her golden hair shook prettily along with the slight movement of the shoulder.
Why do you always smile like that?
Noel thought that it was truly a waste for such beauty to be possessed by someone like Rieta.
He didnât understand exactly whatâs causing that feeling, but anyway.
âPlease behave more like a Princess. Have some dignity!â
âDignity! At least act solemn and gentle!â
âHow come you donât understand me when Iâm at a disadvantage?!â
As the two were about to start arguing again, a serious voice was heard over the thick curtain.
âDignity is an attitude that commands respect. Princess.â
It was the voice of the Duke.
The two went pale as they looked at each other, listening to the voice on the other side.
âAnd it is a virtue that every living person, more so any Princess or Young Master, should possess.â
The red curtains were slowly pulled.
Finally, the Duke and the two children came face to face.
His eyes seemed to reproach them for their âlack of dignity.â
Noel and Rieta couldnât resist.
Sinning, concealing the truth and hiding behind a curtain were the actions of those who had no dignity.
The Duke led the two back to the portrait they had just stuck the notes on.
The portrait of the two elders looked as terrible as they had imagined.
The bizarre marks were indeed on the forehead and nose, respectively.
Noel and Rieta finally bowed in front of the Duke and the portrait.
Of course, the two were punished for this incident.
It consisted of walking around all day, taking off all the notes and scratching all the remaining glue off the surface.
Fortunately, the gentle servants helped, so they were able to take them all down before midnight.
By the end, Noel was completely exhausted and retired to his room.
Wow, it had been really hard.
Come to think of it, These types of situations seemed to happen more often after Rieta had arrived.
âItâs fun but also annoying.â
He muttered, and took off his dusty clothes.
But as he began removing them he heard a rustling sound coming from his back.
It seemed that one of the papers that they had taken off got stuck to his clothes.
âIâm sick and tired of this paper!â
He roughly got the paper off.
In the memo, he saw Rietaâs handwriting. There was also a slight mark on it.
âNice Noel, thank you.â
He looked behind the memo.
When did she write this behind his âwonderful genius gentlemanâ?
He began laughing so hard.
Itâs true that there had been a lot of trouble since Rieta came.
Still, he thought, It was better with the Princess living there.
The next day, Noel woke up early in the morning and wrote ânot a guestâ on a piece of paper, before attaching it to Rietaâs back
Fortunately, Rieta carried that small piece of paper he had attached all day.
All passing servants nodded as they saw Noelâs writing on her back.
After a week, the evening of Rietaâs âImperial language Classâ arrived.
Noel found Rieta hesitating in front of the Dukeâs office.
Seeing how many times she debated whether it was okay to knock, while crumpling the test paper âshe seemed to have ruined it before even knowing if she had failed.
Maybe she had forgotten everything once she removed the notes.
âIs father that scary?â
He crept up behind Rieta and asked.
Startled, Rieta looked back at him with a slight scream.
âYou surprised meâ!â
As she hurriedly hugged the test paper, Noel smiled devilishly.
âWhy donât you let me see it? Was it that bad?â
âUh, itâs not that bad.â
âDonât worry. Do you think my father would have expected you to do a great job?â
He quickly shut up when he saw the test paper Rieta confidently gave him.
