Chapter 64 - Purification (3)
When it touched the black energy, the building collapsed as if it were being torn apart by something.
The black blood that Nintra had spilled covered his whole body.
Every time he walked, the floor turned black.
You could tell it was an ominous creature just by looking at it.
âProtect the village!â
Torto was bewildered by the strange being that suddenly appeared, but immediately cleared the area and ordered an attack on the enemy.
A thick stream of black water stretched out from Nintraâs body.
The knights quickly pulled out their shields and blocked the attack.
He thought he blocked it.
But as the shield melted down, even the knights standing behind them were engulfed in the black stream.
The sound of something cracking was vividly heard.
Seeing his comrades die before they could even scream, the knights anger ignited.
The black thing wrapped around Nintra grew even bigger.
âGet away from it now!â Ganien shouted at them.
The black energy was dangerous.
Ganienâs aura was baby blue across the sword.
He cut off Nintraâs head, just as he had cut the waves.
It was very easy to decapitate.
But Ganien and the Knights watched in astonishment.
The cut throat was filled with black liquid, but it was still connected to the neck and body.
âSomeone who never dies?â
So far, he has killed many people.
But there was no one who didnât die.
How should he deal with him?
A strong aura burst from Cassionâs dagger.
It was wrapped around the dagger as thin and sharp as a blade that had been sharpened thousands of times.
Jumping out from the shadows, he slit Nintraâs throat at once.
As soon as the purple aura left an afterimage, black blood splashed everywhere.
The half-cut head dangled and looked at Cassion.
The regenerative speed was slower than before, but he still didnât die.
Cassion looked at him as if exasperated.
Moving his short legs, the red fox charged at Nintra.
Just touching Leo melted the black blood.
âIs that a being who deviates from nature, like what the beast said?â
Cassion frowned, narrowing his eyes.
Unlike his wild dash, Leo looked pretty nervous.
Then, an arrogant voice came from behind.
The knights paved the way.
âRuel! Ruel! This body melted the snow, and my feet lead me to this place.
Leo immediately ran to Ruel and chatted.
âThatâs a man whoâs out of natureâs order. This, this body cannot purify it. What should I do?
Ruel smiled at Leo and walked toward Nintra, who had turned completely black.
âRuel-nim, you canât come.â
âRuel, itâs dangerous.â
Despite Cassion and Ganienâs restraint, Ruel did not stop his steps.
Nintra sniffed like a dog and jumped at Ruel in an instant.
A shield appeared in front of Ruel, causing his body to bounce off.
Aris glared at him and chanted a spell.
âPurify everything through your brilliant red light.â
The flames from Arisâ hands turned into butterflies and engulfed Nintraâs body.
But it only slowed down his actions, and he focused back to Ruel.
Aris kept his mouth shut while memorizing the next spell.
The flow of mana was sensed again from Ruel.
There was a stronger light in those green eyes.
Black hands protruded from the shadows of everyone standing around and they wrapped around Nintra at once.
Even though they were equally black, the black hands that Ruel had created were noble and somewhat frail.
A command, not a request.
At that command, the black blood was sucked into Ruelâs shadow.
The witnesses watching felt goosebumps race across their bodies.
They even thought it was sacred.
âIs it purification? Is Ruel a great purifier?
Nintra, whose black blood disappeared, collapsed.
It was twice as much as usual.
It wasnât until the sight of vivid red blood on the ground that everyone came to their senses.
Cassion covered Ruelâs mouth with a handkerchief, but the blood that had already been vomited did not disappear.
Ruel tried to sacrifice his life to get rid of the strange monster.
The color of the blood spilled on the floor looked very thick.
The power of recovery made a sound of pain after a long time.
Even the power of resistance was about to fail, and it cried out.
Ruel couldnât even open his eyes, his body curled up in agony.
His fever was high. His whole body was a ball of fire.
He was conscious, but it would not be strange if he lost consciousness immediately.
âBeast, how is Ruel-nimâs body?â
âThis body must be eaten.
Cassion looked directly at Ganien.
He couldnât straighten his hardened face throughout the examination.
âItâs crazy. Itâs crazy.â
Ganien looked at Cassion with nervousness.
He could see the diseases running wild inside Ruelâs body.
The medicine made by Fran had already been administered.
He had managed to feed Ruel the most effective painkillers.
Nevertheless, the pain did not go away.
âEat it, beast. Hurry up!â
Leo touched Ruelâs body and ripped off the black things.
His ears twitched at Ruelâs moan, and he was startled by the taste that spread in his mouth, and his ears soared into the sky again.
He knew it was wrong, but Leoâs lips went up.
As the breathing became rough, Aris handed over Breath.
Cassion immediately replied.
The tremors that occurred in Ruelâs body did not stop, and the medicine did not work as quickly as usual.
Now all that can be done, has been.
Cassion took a sleeping pill out of his pocket and administered it to Ruel.
Sleeping would be better than holding onto your consciousness.
Ganien rose from his seat as his ring shone.
After biting his lip for a moment, he said, âThe Blue Knights must have arrived. Cassion, please take care of Ruel.â
As he hurried his steps, Ganien went outside.
Aris clenched the hem of his shirt.
No matter how well he learned magic, there was no way to heal Ruel.
âGo to Sir Torto and tell him to get the knights under control.â
There were many eyes watching.
He canât cover up everything, but he can conceal what Ruel did.
He couldnât change anything just because he was there.
Aris quickly acknowledged that fact and walked to the door.
Only after exhaling was the door opened then shut.
âDonât say anything to me, chief.â
Hina peeped out of the corner and spoke carefully.
ââŠI wonât scold you.â
âYouâre very angry. Are you all right?â
Cassion had a blank expression, but Hina could clearly see that he was furious.
âHina, I have something for you to do.â
Cassion handed Hina two bottles of black water.
âOne for investigation and the other, tell Tyson that thereâs a man who doesnât die.â
âI accept your orders.â
âNintra suddenly shed black blood. I donât know what that is, but it must be relevant.â
Nintra, who fainted, was taken by the Knights for now.
As soon as Cassion saw an opportunity, he planned to take him out.
Leo quietly called Cassion.
âIs Ruel a human being?
âI donât want to play along with you today, so just lie down next to Ruel.â
âRuel is not a great purifier, but he purified it.
âRuel is definitely a human being even if he has something dirty in his body.
âPurification⊠Are you sure of that, beast?â
âItâs purification. I know because this body is a great purifier.â
What the hell is the identity of my master?
Controlling monsters and even purifying them.
He was tired. He felt it after a long time.
âYou should have died at His punishment. Your filthy blood is blocking his Great Start. But you will die, for sure.â
Cassion recalled what Nintra said.
Before entering Setiria as a butler, he did a lot of research on Setiria.
There was nothing special about it except that it was going to collapse.
But just like an onion, as I peel more back, something new would pop out.
âWhat else will come out?â
Cassion sat in his chair and grabbed his throbbing head.
A loud roar broke through the soundproof sound of the carriage.
But what Ruel heard was a very small cry.
Ruel opened his eyes with difficulty and focused his eyes.
âYou can sleep a little longer. We have not yet reached the capital.â
He didnât want to sleep any more.
His hands were so wet with how much Leo cried.
Ruel raised the other hand and stroked Leoâs head.
Strangely enough, he stopped crying.
He raised his face from his hands and met Ruelâs eyes.
Leo climbed over his chest and rubbed his face again and again.
âDo you know how worried this body was? No matter how many times I called you, you didnât wake up, so I thought you left me alone. Ruel left meâŠ
A sobbing sound followed.
Ruel pet Leo and closed his eyes for a moment.
I felt like I had a dream.
I canât remember exactly, but there was a being with very beautiful scales.
His own hands were very small and the other presence was very large.
He seemed to have had a very long talk with the being.
But I couldnât remember.
Except, for just one thing.
â Come and find me again.
Only those words came to mind.
âToday is the second day.â
Cassion moistened Ruelâs dry lips first.
âI had a dog dream for a long time.â
Ruel looked at Cassion rather than answer.
âI heard that the mana you have is darkness. Did you know that you could absorb the black things?â
He didnât even know what he was doing.
He just did what his instincts told him to do.
Ruel sat up only with Cassionâs help as he tried to raise his upper body.
Cassion asked, giving out water.
Ruel shook his head again and drank water.
âThe beast called what Ruel-nim did purification.â
At a sudden sound, Ruel spewed water.
