I am the Monarch â Chapter 305: A Bloody Battle (5)
âFelius?â
Roan Lancephil gave a frown . It was his first time hearing that name .
âI think heâs saying that to the Travias SpearâŠâ
Now that he thought about it, Roan still did not know the identities of Flamdor and Travias exactly . Even when he had met them for the first time at Bertex, they had kept their identities a secret till the very end .
In addition, although he absorbed Flamdor and Travias in the fight with Simon, he still could not find out about their exact identities .
âIt was as if only that part was sealed tightâŠâ
Roan collected his breath and stared at Episs .
âIs Felius perhaps the real name of Travias?â
The only one that could give him an answer was Episs .
âOi, whatâs Felius?â
He asked lightly but the response he got was an insane one .
âKieeeeeeek!â
Episs wrapped his long arms around his neck and screamed as his eyes turned red from blood .
âIâll get scolded by father! Scolded by father!â
It appeared as if he was about to kill himself .
âIs the name Felius that much of a great secret?â
Roan breathed out deeply but then,
âKieeek! Die! Die!â
Episs who had been wrapping his own neck suddenly ran in towards Roan . He had completely lost his mind, and had gone insane .
Kwaaaaaang!
His long arms slammed the empty ground . His movements had become one step faster and he had become a lot stronger as well . Roan barely avoided the attack and quickly swung the Travias Spear .
Sphat!
Reddish-black flames reached up .
âKwek!â
Episs lowered his body with a strange noise and kicked out with his long leg . It was an extremely agile movement that could surprise anyone but Roanâs mind was focused on something else .
âHeâs avoiding the Travias Spear instinctively . â
Even in his insane state, he seemed to be fearing the Travias Spear greatly . Roan lightly carried his feet to dodge his legs and trembled the end of his spear .
Sphat!
The spearhead blurred and instantaneously, dozens and hundreds of spearheads filled the space .
âKeek!â
Seeing the spearheads coming in at his head and feet from all directions, Episs let out a strange noise . He became extremely confused after seeing that there was no way out .
Sphat! Pabat!
The spearhead danced and slashed at his body .
âKieeek!â
His ear-piercing scream filled the battlefield . He screamed and trembled his body like he was about to die any time soon but there were no lethal wounds on his body . There were only a few cuts on his skin .
âF, FeliusâŠ! Felius has touched my body!â
Episs had seemingly regained his mind and twitched .
âThereâs indeed some kind of secret behind it . â
Roan swung the Travias Spear and pointed the spearhead at his forehead . The sharp tip pierced into Epissâ skin .
âKiek! Kiek!â
Letting out a rough cough, Episs quivered . To make sure he couldnât move around, Roan put more strength into his wrist and asked with a cold voice .
âWhat is Felius? Is it another name of Travias?â
âKuuuuu . I, I, I cannot say it . I canât . â
Seeing Episs force his breath to a stop and shaking his head, Roan twisted his wrist .
Kuguk .
The spear dug into his forehead .
âKweeeek!â
Episs swung his hands with more quavering .
âI, Iâll speak!â
He was extremely fearful of the Travias Spear digging into his forehead . After this much, even Roan had to tilt his head in doubt .
âWhat in the world is this Felius thatâŠâ
Roan was curious why Episs who had been fiercely attacking him was now scared and asking for mercy . After some hesitation, Episs carefully opened his mouth .
âTravias is a fake name attached to it instead of its real name . â
âYouâre saying its real name is Felius?â
When Roan asked, Episs slowly nodded his head .
âWhy was he called by a fake name?â
Roan stared directly into his eyes as Episs struggled and opened his mouth with a fearful expression .
âThatâs because, F, Felius had been corrupted . H, he cared for the Middle World after going against his fatherâs will so, h, he could no longer be called by the noble n, name . â
Although he was stuttering like crazy, it didnât seem like he was lying . Roan asked again with a soft voice .
âBy father, is he the same existence as your father?â
As soon as he finished,
âN, no! No!â
Epissâ face was flushed deep red .
âO, our father is completely different from F, Feliusâ father! Our father isâŠâ
The more he continued, the redder his face got . Immediately, Roan felt the back of his head twitch as his skin started feeling tingly .
âDangerous . â
His instincts told him that .
Roan quickly carried his feet and took a few steps back and when he did,
Boooooom!
Along with an awful sound, Epissâ head exploded as red blood and sticky remains of the brain splattered to the sides .
Sheeeeek .
Smokes started leaving from the places where the blood and brain remains had touched . Roan quickly swung the Travias Spear to block the blood and the remains from touching his body .
âWhat in the worldâŠâ
With a frown, Roan stared at Epissâ corpse . His long arms and legs were spread about without a sign of life . The body was fine but it was without a head as red blood continued flowing out from his neck .
What was surprising was that whatever the blood touched would dissolve with smoke .
âNothing happened when he got injured during the fights though?â
Roan twisted his wrist and retrieved the Travias Spear .
âIs it an explosion due to him going crazy? Or is it something to safeguard the secret?â
In any case, it was difficult to understand .
âAre these guys human? And who in the world is that person called father?â
There were too many secrets he didnât know and besides,
âWhatâs the true identity of Travias?â
His head was mingled with complicated thoughts .
âEven inside the memories of Tempestas, there was nothing significant . â
Roan let out a deep sigh .
âPerhaps Sir Kalian knows about it?â
A thought suddenly popped up in his head . Even if he didnât know fully, Roan thought that he probably would at least know a rough gist of it .
âOr maybe Iâm the only one that doesnât know itâŠâ
Ever since his previous life, Roan was only interested in wars, fights and the uses of the spear . In this life, thanks to the memories of the sorcerers, he at least knew a little bit more about other fields but he was nonetheless still very lacking in knowledge in fields he wasnât interested in .
âI should study a bit huh . â
He felt bitter .
âFelius . Felius huhâŠâ
Thinking that he might have heard it somewhere, he was looking deeper into his memories .
âYour Majesty . â
A voice was heard from behind .
âAhâŠâ
Roan got rid of all the complicated thoughts and turned around and there, he saw an extremely nostalgic and familiar face .
âPrince Manus . â
Walking up, he shoved his right hand out and Manus grabbed it while lowering his head .
âWe saved our lives thanks to Your Majesty . â
Hearing the moved voice and seeing his moved expression, Roan made a faint smile and shook his head .
âItâs great that I was able to be of help . â
Just like that, they stared at each other silently with their hands still there .
âMhmm . Hmm . Hmm . â
Peid Neil who had been watching at the side made an awkward smile and gave out a few coughs . Only then did Roan and Manus let go of their hands and turn towards Peid and Aerea Britz .
âPeid Neil of Istel Kingdom . It has been a while Your Majesty . â
âIt has been a while indeed . â
Roan and Peid had seen each other before already .
âYou have been of great help in the past . â
With a bright smile, Roan reached out with his right hand . By âgreat helpâ, he was referring to how the Istel Kingdom had supported the Amaranth Kingdom instead of the North Rinse Kingdom during the founding war of the Amaranth .
Thanks to Peidâs choice and decision, Roan and the Amaranth Kingdom were able to defeat the North Rinse Kingdom as well as the Byron Kingdom .
âWe are the ones that should be grateful to Your Majesty . â
Peid shook his head with a modest expression and voice . They too had received most of their kingdomâs farmlands back due to a generous decision of Roan as well as having their massive war reparations cancelled out .
âThis here isâŠâ
Taking a step back, Peid pointed at Aerea . As if she had been waiting, Aerea took a step forward and snatched Roanâs hand .
âIt is an honour to meet Your Majesty Roan Lancephil, whoâs called the strongest of the continent and the God of War . I really, reallyâŠâ
Her eyes flickered with light .
âWanted to meet you once at least . â
It was a curiosity unique to military officials . Hearing that, Roan nodded his head with a faint smile .
âIt is my honour as well to meet Captain Aerea Britz of the Meland Defense Army . â
Aerea made a surprised expression in response .
âDid you know of me already?â
Her voice trembled towards the end and Roan nodded with a face saying that it was natural .
âInformation is power after all . â
âMhmm . â
Peid who had been listening from the sides let out a low mutter .
âIndeed, their information gathering ability is fearsome . â
Aerea wasnât well-known enough for foreign countries to know of her yet and for that reason, he was thinking of making her into a secret weapon of the Istel Kingdom .
âNow itâs meaningless . â
Peid let out a bitter smile . He could only be in awe of the fact that Roan had already known about Aerea beforehand .
âIn any case, what in the world is this person? I had never heard of people having such strange appearances . â
Manus gave a frown with his eyes staring at the corpse missing its head . Roan shook his head with a short sigh .
âI do not know exactly either but I have met someone similar to this before . â
âSorry? You have met someone like this already?â
Manus, Peid and Aerea asked back with surprise and Roan nodded slowly in response .
âYes . He called himself Gorg, the General of Great Strength of the Dark Regiments . â
As soon as he finished .
âDark Regiments?â
âGeneral of Great Strength Gorg?â
They tilted their heads with frowns . Seeing that Roan made a bitter smile .
âIt seems to be their first time hearing that as well . â
He had lost a ray of hope but there was no need for him to be in despair .
âIt is only the beginning . In any caseâŠâ
There was something more important .
Roan stared at Manus before looking at Peid .
âHave you perhaps heard of the name, Felius before?â
He thought that perhaps Manus and Peid who represented their kingdoms might have heard of it before and asked but,
âFelius?â
âFelius huhâŠâ
Manus and Peid frowned and tilted their heads . Judging from how they couldnât give a response immediately, it seemed like it was their first time hearing it as well .
âAs expected, it is going to be hard to find outâŠâ
When his thoughts reached that point .
âFelius?â
Aerea who had been silent chimed in with a bright smile . Peid who had been in contemplation frowned slightly .
âMiss Aerea . If youâre thinking of making a joke hereâŠâ
He waved his hand thinking that she would talk about something strange but Aerea instead made a bold expression as she shook her head .
âIâm not joking . Iâve heard of that name before . â
She then faced Roan, Manus and Peid and shrugged her shoulders instead .
âIâm more surprised that you do not know of this name . Did you guys not study theology before? But I guess it is hard to find people studying theology these days . â
With a bright smile, she continued .
âFelius . That being isâŠâ
Her smile deepened .
âThe thirteenth son of the God Devesis . â

Swift Clock and Edwin Voisaâs conversation continued without an end . Kalian who had been listening to it with an interested expression at the start was now yawning in boredom .
âThey sure talk a lot . â
It was then .
âMhmm?â
An unpleasant feeling touched Kalianâs senses .
âThis aura isâŠâ
Although it had been so long, it was something he could never forget . Kalian stood up from his seat with a grin as Swift and Edwin who had been indulged in their conversation trembled .
âOh no . We were too focused on our conversation . â
Swift scratched the back of his head with an awkward smile .
âI, it mustâve been boring right?â
Kalian shook his hand, gesturing to him to not care about it .
âItâs fine . You guys continue talking . Iâll leave for a bit . â
âSorry? WhereâŠ?â
Edwin asked with slight nervousness but Kalian replied shortly with a nonchalant expression .
âA friend visiting, it seems . â
He carried his feet and left the living room .
Kung .
Hearing the door closing, Swift and Edwin looked at each other and blinked .
âA friendâŠâ
Swift started first and Edwin gave a nod after gulping once .
âMust be a dragon . â
Their faces turned pale . Just one existence of Kalian was enough to suffocate them and yet another dragon appeared now?
âThisâŠâ
Swift trembled unknowingly .
âIs the Middle World really going to be destroyed?â
A cruel future appeared in his imagination but oblivious to that, Kalian waved his hand lightly after leaving the room .
Paaat!
Along with a pillar of white light, the scenery in front of him changed . It was teleportation magic and the ancient mansion disappeared as a wide grassland replaced it . Leaning on one leg, Kalian stared at the middle of the grassland, at a youth who was sitting down on a randomly placed piece of rock .
He looked at Kalian with his beautiful face that rivaled Kalianâs, and made a cold smile .
âBeen so long and youâre not even giving a greeting?â
Kalian shook his head with a humoured expression . He raised his right hand while walking towards the beautiful youth .
âYouâve been well right?â
His humoured expression slowly changed to a cold one .
âYou look healthy at least, Lunark . â
Lunark .
The youth sitting on top of the rock was the Black Dragon Lunark, who was more well-known as the Mad Dragon .
