-云舒( yún shū)- Yun Shu, the female lead

– 方灵( fāng líng)- Fang Ling, a scriptwriter and Yun Shu’s friend.
A whole three hours had passed since he and Yun Shu had last spoken before Fu Ran received Yun Shu’s call.
During these three hours, he was anxious beyond words.
There were countless times where he wanted to rush to where Yun Shu was and wanted to call her to ask about it. Then, there were countless times where he was conflicted… Just like that, he spent three hours.
When the call came through, he loosened his tie. Before the second ring, he picked up the phone. “Hello? Hello?”
It was an unfamiliar female voice. Fu Ran knitted his brows. “Hello, may I ask who you are? How come Shu Shu’s phone is with you?”
“…. Shu’er is drunk.” On the other end of the line, Fang Ling rolled her eyes.
“Drunk? I’m coming over to pick her up.”
Then, he hung up the phone.
“Wow.” Fang Ling stuffed the phone back into Yun Shu’s mini bag and couldn’t help but pinch her little flushed face from the drunkenness. She looked at her gorgeous and charming appearance and mumbled, “Sister, it seems a bit dangerous for you to go with him like this.”
Oh, the word “seems” should be struck out.
Fang Ling felt a little uneasy. She pinched Yun Shu’s tender, warm petite face again and said, “Do you really want to go with that man?”
Yun Shu pouted her tiny lips and said, “Yes, that’s my sugar daddy.”
Fang Ling, “….”
—— Eh~
Yun Shu raised her head. Those misty and watery eyes couldn’t be any more seductive. She said, “He’s so bad. How dare he reject me over and over again!”
Fang Ling, “!!!”
Fang Ling scoffed, “Really? Is he still a man to be able to reject a beauty like you?”
Yun Shu clenched her tiny fist. “Mm. He’s bad. He’s bad~”
Fang Ling, “….”
—— I would have believed you if you didn’t sound so lewd.
Fortunately, the person who came to pick Yun Shu up arrived soon. Otherwise, if this continued, Yun Shu might even tell Fang Ling her bank card pin.
Fang Ling put in a good word for Yun Shu, “The performance was a success. Shu’er was a little too happy and accidentally drank too much.”
Fu Ran nodded gently. “I know. Thank you for looking after her.”
Fang Ling waved her hand. “It’s alright.”
Fang Ling watched Yun Shu being driven off by the man’s car. She waited for the car to be out of sight before walking to her car.
“Oh, that guy looks a bit familiar… Crap. Fu Ran?!!”
Fang Ling thought of her newfound friend Yun Shu and thought of Fu Ran’s tone on the phone and how he just looked. Then, she thought of all the legends about Fu Ran… This humble person, surnamed Fang, admires her; she really admires her.
“Amazing. It’s really so amazing…”
The thousand-year-old iron tree has finally blossomed. [1] She feels that the Fu family is probably going to go crazy with joy.
**********
Fu Ran was still unaware of the raging storm in Fang Ling’s heart. He didn’t notice that he had actually met Fang Ling. His attention was all on Yun Shu.
Yun Shu was complaining to Fang Ling without any filter. When she was with him, she didn’t talk but nuzzled herself against him like a cat that had encountered a catnip.
A strong body like Fu Ran’s broke out in a sweat in order to restrain Yun Shu. It was comparable to when he had just exercised vigorously for a while. It was evident how much of a fit Yun Shu was making.
Then when her limbs were firmly pinned down, Yun Shu finally remembered that she had a tiny mouth to blabber.
Her lips pouted. She turned to Fu Ran and said with discontent, “You. That’s right, you… Aren’t I pretty? Why don’t you have any reaction to me at all? Are you unable to get an erection?”
[1] 铁树开花[tiě shù kāi huā]- The iron tree has bloomed/Sago palm has bloomed. Sago palm only bloom once every three to four years with either male or female flowers. Thus, this phrase is a metaphor for something that is very rare or extremely difficult to achieve. Credits: Gardeningknowhow & Baidu
