Shao Qian looked blankly in the Xinghai space, when he was killed, he was bound to a system called Resurrection. His efforts were spent to complete tasks that the system gave, just so that he may be able to return to the time before his death, so as to avoid the collision. Although there was nothing nostalgic in that world, he never thought that he would actually die so dubiously(1).
For so many years, he has completed all of the tasks given to him by the system. Even in the so-called ‘world of novels’, each time he was mortified and miserable, he never thought of giving up and returning to his original world. After all, he now only has this obsession.
The results of this? After he had completed all of his tasks, the system gathered his energy to devour him. After the tasks were completed, he would be revived, but is was just a lure set by the system and nothing more. What it wants is to transport him across worlds to accomplish all sorts of tasks, which will make his soul more delicious and attractive.
The so-called system is like a glutton with its food, and an ordinary soul can not satisfy its taste. It will put the collected soul in a world that it believes can be used as a seasoning, stir it until it thinks that it is enough, and then begin to enjoy its feast when the collected soul is tasty.
After crossing one world after another, Shao Qian gradually realized that the purpose of the system was not simple. He became secretly wary of it, so when the system trapped him in the Xinghai space and wanted to devour him, he was prepared. He just did not expect that the last to survive was actually him.
No, he should not say that he just survived. For some unknown reason, rather than dying, he actually devoured half of the system. Looking again at his system page, it has changed appearances now that is no longer has disgusting tasks nor text in red font threatening him from time to time.
Shao Qian brings his right hand out and looked at the above pattern and sneers, I’m afraid this system did not expect to actually die by being devoured by their own ‘food’.
But now that he has devoured the system, what can he do? After this incident, he can not return back to his original mindset now, and the rest of the worlds…
Every world was destroyed, and he did not have much of the worlds of those novels he was in. He had even thought, if there is a chance to let him return to the worlds of these novels, he must make those so-called male and female protagonists pay the price…
Ah? Shao Qian began to seriously think about this matter. Although he is now a soul, he is also half system. The system needs energy, which is the conclusion he reached after the fusion of the system data after he became the system. No wonder the system was always forcing him to do those tasks.
Now that he has nothing to do, it would be better for him to return to those small mission worlds, will the previous resentment built up in those people remain?
Shao Qian takes this into serious consideration. Before the small world system had a precise location, although only half of the system was devoured by him now, fortunately those coordinates are still there. He wants to solve the issue of energy, as he devoured the system, naturally his own body’s energy can only barely cross into a world. This issue just needs to be carefully considered in that small world.
Sitting cross-legged in the nebula to smooth out his disordered soul power, his originally chaotic energy fluctuations smoothed out and his soul power gradually recovered. Feeling his soul power increase, Shao Qian showed a rare smile. (2)
He now knows why the system is so keen on collecting energy, as being full of soul power really makes people feel satisfied.
Shao Qian spent some time in the Xinghai space to adjust, however, later his waking eyes looked blinking in the Xinghai space, his eyesight recovering in only a moment.
He always felt that there seemed to be something hidden from him, and he even felt that his brain seemed to have a moment of blankness. It’s like… what’s important goes away from him.
He felt uncomfortable with this uncontrolled feeling. He thinks this as a location in his chest faintly aches, perhaps something regarding this is plausible?
Shao Qian could not figure out what happened. After he felt better, he readily grabbed the speck of light that was drifting away from the Xinghai space.

Translator's Note:
So, I was planning on translating this entire story (or at least a couple arcs) until I found just how difficult it was in mtl. I may continue, but the possibility is rather low. I honestly just wanted to put this chapter out there anyways in order to hopefully get someone else (who can either work mtl better than I can, has better patience, or that actually knows the language) interested in it. Shameless? Perhaps. Worth it? Hopefully.
