“Don’t worry Duke Yan. I’ll definitely stabilise the poison within big sister Shi Fei’s body,” Xiao Yun replied.

“What’s the use of stabilising it?” Madam Yan retorted with an icy expression. “Will you come every day to extract poison for her in future? She’s already grown up. Don’t you think this will affect her life in the future?”

“What do you mean by this, Madam Yan?” Xiao Yun’s expression couldn’t help but darken. Anyone could hear the deeper meaning in her words – evidently, she was quite against Xiao Yun seeing Yan Shi Fei.

“Nothing much,” Madam Yan calmly replied. “I just hope that you’ll convince Fei’Er to take that antidote pill, so we won’t have to always trouble you to come here and extract her poison. This is good for both of you. I’m sure you won’t refuse.”

“Hmph, I’m not talking to you anymore. Big brother Xiao Yun, let’s go,” Yan Shi Yan pouted and dragged Xiao Yun off.

“Is this girl also rebelling against her parents?” Madam Yan was furious.

“Wife.” Duke Yan shook his head, telling his wife not to say anymore. It was important to stabilise their daughter’s poison first.

“Big sis, hurry and open the door. I’ve brought big brother Xiao Yun,” Yan Shi Yan called out as she pulled Xiao Yun to the bedroom.

“Only the two of you are allowed to come in,” Yan Shi Fei said in a powerless voice.

“Mm,” Yan Shi Yan nodded. “Big sis, I know what to do.”

The door was opened as a haggard and ashen face appeared before them. Xiao Yun felt his heart tighten in pain at the sight of her.

“Come in.” Yan Shi Fei’s eyes were dim and lustreless, and she barely had any strength in her voice. When she saw the pain in the youth’s eyes, she felt a warmth within her heart, and felt strangely happier. Xiao Yun did not wait around and entered the bedroom.

“Shi Yan, please wait outside,” Yan Shi Fei said to the young girl who was following tightly behind Xiao Yun.

“Hmph, kicking me out again.”

Yan Shi Yan’s watery eyes glared as she spoke angrily, “Big sis, how can you just abandon me after I did this for you?”

She had brought big brother Xiao Yun over; how could her big sister kick her out immediately? What was going on? Did they want to enjoy their two-person world? Yan Shi Yan’s cheeks puffed out in anger.

“This girl.” Yan Shi Fei found her sister’s cuteness quite amusing and laughed as she said, “Listen to big sis. We’ll need you to stand guard outside and stop father and mother from coming in. I don’t trust them at all!”

“Oh.” Yan Shi Yan pouted, looking quite unhappy as she glared at her big sister and Xiao Yun. She looked like a little wife looking at her husband, afraid that her big sister would snatch him away.

Xiao Yun calmly stood by the side, as if it had nothing to do with him. He had already become used to this girl acting like this. Seeing how terrible her big sister looked, Yan Shi Yan could only give in and exit the room.

Now, only Xiao Yun and Yan Shi Fei remained within the room.

As Xiao Yun looked at the haggard-looking young woman, his heart deeply ached.

“Since you have an antidote pill, why not take it?” Xiao Yun asked in a low voice.
