Youâre familiar with dominos, right?
When one falls, the others follow.
Tainosâs death was the first domino. Moby Dick would be the next.
Kang Oh immediately fought Moby Dick.
At around that time, Irene, whoâd been commanding her squad against Kang Ohâs guardians, got a chance to catch her breath.
She saw Tainosâs corpse and slightly furrowed her brow.
Kang Oh was too strong. It seemed like he was even stronger than Dukeram.
Moreover, his guardians were posing a problem.
They were no ordinary guardians. Kang Oh had reinforced them a ton, so they werenât easy to beat.
âSummoning guardians⌠How did he do it? If weâd have known about this, then we wouldâve weaponized them too.â
The Platinum Wolf, the Iron Knight, the Monster Elephant, and the Giant Wyvern.
They were impressive weapons.
If the Empire Guild had known about the summoning scrolls, then this war wouldâve been a little easier.
In any case, the battle wasnât in their favor.
âShould we ignore the guardians and just focus on Kang Oh? If we do that, then the guardians should disappear on their own. No, thereâs no guarantee that killing Kang Oh will make them disappear. But at this rateâŚâ
She had a lot to think about, but she seemed ever so slightly more relaxed than before. Giant Soldier and Moby Dick had defeated the Beast Squad, so they grouped up with her squad.
Of course, they werenât in tip-top shape.
They had only about 1/3 of their normal strength. However, they needed all the help they could get.
âHelp Moby Dick! My squad will take care of the guardians,â Irene immediately ordered.
âUnderstood, Captain.â
âLetâs go help Captain Moby Dick!â
âCaptain Tainos! Damn, he got our captain. We have to avenge him.â
Kang Oh was completely overwhelming Moby Dick.
In a one-on-one fight, there was no one in the world that could beat Kang Oh right now. After all, heâd used Gluttony on an SS-rank item.
In this situation, the two squadsâ assistance was like water in the desert.
âIâm going to catch my breath. Protect me!â
The shield bearers of the Moby Dick Squad stood in front of him, their shields at the ready. Meanwhile, the Giant Soldier Squad furiously rushed at Kang Oh.
Kang Oh realized that this situation wasnât bad for him. The Evil Godâs silhouette was behind him, after all!
The silhouette would remain for 10 minutes. Whenever he killed an enemy and absorbed their soul, this time would be increased by 10 seconds. Plus, absorbing souls would increase his maximum HP by 1% for every kill, and to a maximum of 1,000%.
âIâll kill you all.â
Different colored rings spread out from the silhouetteâs arms. It had cast four types of curses.
Each squadâs priests clasped their hands together and tried to dispel the curses, but it would take time.
Kang Oh went on a rampage.
Abyss Claw + Yuki-Onnaâs Breath!
He used everything in his arsenal, aside from his skills with a 10 minute cooldown.
The Giant Soldier Squad was made up of tall, large individuals. They would be close to or above 2 meters tall.
It was impressive to see so many of them falling to the ground.
âHelp the Giant Soldier Squad!â Moby Dick saw them get slaughtered and yelled.
However, the Moby Dick Squad didnât make much of a difference.
Kang Oh was really putting Sarahoffâs âAbsolute Destructionâ ability to good use.
Giant Soldier and Moby Dick had fought the Beast Squad for so long that their weapons/shields were worn out. Breaking them with Sarahoff was a piece of cake. Their armor also suffered the same fate.
The Evil Godâs silhouette indiscriminately clawed at these defenseless individuals, but Kang Ohâs twin demon swords were far fiercer and sharper.
Moreover, getting damaged by Kang Oh would activate the Hell Greatswordâs Awful Pain effect. It also seemed as though Rip Apart activated once every three attacks too.
There was a reason Tainos had been defeated so easily. It wasnât because he was weak.
It was because Kang Oh was too strong.
Now, the Moby Dick Squad were being slaughtered too.
Irene couldnât bear the sight of this, so she sent a portion of her troops to help them out.
But it was like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound. They couldnât stop Kang Oh.
âHeâs too strong.â Moby Dickâs face darkened. Kang Oh was one crazy bastard; a crazy strong bastard.
Moby Dick, whoâd replenished some of his HP, MP, and Stamina, took on Kang Oh once more.
Of course, he didnât think he had a chance. He planned on using his shield skills to hold out.
Moby Dickâs hands shook from the force of impact.
Kang Oh was as strong as Tainos. However, his swordsmanship was on par with Dukeram. Plus, getting hit by him meant you were in for a world of pain.
âAs expected, I canât beat him.â
They needed at least three captains to beat him. Dukeram would be a match for him too. However, they didnât get any reinforcements.
Moby Dickâs shield, as well as the three squads, werenât in good condition. This was the fate of anyone who fought against Kang Oh.
Sarahoff struck a single point on Moby Dickâs shield.
Moby Dickâs shield broke apart like a four-leaf clover. Since his shield was all that kept Kang Oh away, his fate was decided.
All the Moby Dick Squad could do was throw themselves at Kang Oh.
However, the Evil Godâs silhouette ripped them all apart.
Meanwhile, Demon Sword Sarahoff shattered Moby Dickâs armor, or more specifically, his breastplate.
His jet-black blade pierced through Moby Dickâs chest.
His blade unleashed a deluge of darkness, which swept through Moby Dick and any enemy troops in the vicinity.
âGuaaahk!â Moby Dick writhed in pain. The others did the same.
He truly was the Empireâs greatest shield. All of his subordinates had died, but he alone had survived.
That didnât bode well for him though. Lasting this long meant that he had to experience the awful pain for that much longer.
âJust kill me already.â
Moby Dick lost his will to fight and knelt to the ground.
Kang Oh gave him what he wanted.
It was a clean swing. It was enough to deplete the rest of Moby Dickâs HP.
Moby Dickâs severed head rolled onto the ground.
âNow Ireneâs the only one left.â Kang Oh turned his head.
However, he saw Irene and her troops retreating in perfect order.
He could also see the Elephant Corps rushing in. Their commander, Ould, was at the forefront.
They were originally fighting against Takerâs Iron Horse Squad. The knight of knights, Sir Olando, had crossed blades with Taker.
The Elephant Corps had managed to defeat Taker and the Iron Horse Squad. After that, they rushed over to offer Kang Oh assistance.
As soon as she saw the Elephant Corpsâ elites, Irene and her Glacier Squad retreated from the battlefield.
He would expect nothing less from her. She always kept a cool head, and made her decisions quickly.
âShould I chase after Irene and the Glacier Squad?â
âI only have 13 minutes left on Gluttony, but I can extend its duration by using Dragonâs Hourglass. Letâs fight Dukeram!â
He was so confident that he thought, âNo one can stop me!â. Moreover, his guardians were here too!
The fully armored Monster Wyvern came flying over.
âTasha, turn back into a sword! The rest of you, follow me!â Kang Oh placed Demon Sword Blood in his inventory, and flew through the air on Wakaiserâs back.
Wakaiser opened its wings and quickly flew through the air.
Violf, Redman, Indra, and Teynos followed him.
Teynos was so slow that he got farther and farther away from them.
âLetâs follow Mr. Kang Oh. It looks like heâs heading for the Eagle Corps,â Ould saw Kang Oh fly on Wakaiserâs back and said.
âYes, sir.â Olando, who had a fashionable moustache, nodded his head.
Ould and the Elephant Corpsâ horses galloped across the battlefield.
The Battle of the Nazrak Plains.
They headed for the place where this battle would end.
Kang Oh observed the battlefield from atop Wakaiser.
There were a ton of sand soldiers, Alliance troops, and Imperial troops there.
Kang Oh also saw Gheor, Han Seol, and Jegal.
They had sent all of their soldiers into battle. Now, there would be no reserve troops or reinforcements available.
There was no fighting in the other areas, which meant that victory and defeat would be decided here.
It seemed like the Iron Horse Squad and the Glacier Squad had joined up with the main force.
There were all sorts of battles going on here.
Two prominent figures, Bart and Eric, were fighting each other!
Meanwhile, Kuskal was battling Dion and Viper.
However, they were all like fireflies before the light of the moon.
The Invincible Gladiator, Burkan versus Emperor Dukeram!
It was a tremendous battle.
However⌠The battle was going differently than Kang Oh had expected.
Burkan, who was equal to him in both power and skill, was losing to Dukeram.
âI need to take a closer look.â
Wakaiser shrieked and descended. He was slowly able to get a better look at Burkan and Dukeramâs fight.
âIs that really Dukeram?â
Dukeram was much stronger than he expected.
Burkan was more skilled. However, Dukeram was much stronger and faster. He was completely different from last time.
âI know he was holding back last time, but still, I didnât think heâd be this strong.â
Kang Ohâs heart pounded.
Strong people were attracted to other strong people!
He wanted to fight Dukeram at his full strength.
âWakaiser, you can fight without me, right?â
âWhen the other guardians get here, fight with them, ok? Iâm counting on you.â
Kang Oh stroked its neck and jumped off the wyvern.
However, he had landed right in the middle of the Imperial Army.
They were just ordinary soldiers.
Kang Oh instantly took care of them with Ubist and Sarahoff. His power was overwhelming!
The Empireâs strongest and/or their rankers came at him next.
âKang Oh, Iâve always wanted to fight you.â
It was one of the Empire Guildâs high rankers. His name was Fried Seaweed. He wielded two gently curved blades.
One of the 1st Corpsâ Desert Warriors, Artal accompanied him. He was strong enough to win 2nd place in the desertâs Golden Fighting Tournament three times.
The two charged at Kang Oh simultaneously. What fools.
A sharp horizontal line rapidly approached them from Demon Sword Ubist.
Fried Seaweed and Artal had died instantly.
Those witnessing this felt goosebumps on their skin. The rumors of Kang Ohâs monstrous strength werenât exaggerated.
Kang Oh âsmelledâ like Valan; the smell of invincibility.
âGet out of my way,â Kang Oh said curtly. He didnât want to waste Gluttony on them.
The crowd parted on both sides.
âPlease just go!â they all thought.
Kang Oh quickly passed through.
The atmosphere was so heavy that they couldnât even breathe. It was the result of Kang Ohâs immense pressure.
As he passed, the Evil Godâs silhouette clawed at them with its four arms.
The soldiers clenched their butts and their legs shook. One bad move and theyâd even piss themselves.
Kang Oh kicked off the floor.
Dukeramâs sword, Max Cain, had pierced through Burkanâs body.
âBrother!â Kang Oh instantly closed the distance, and swung Ubist downwards.
Dukeramâs lips curled upwards. He seemed almost excited to see him, and swung Max Cain at him.
Their blades clashed, and sparks popped out like firecrackers. At the same time, the two warriorsâ eyes met.
âViewers, itâs Kang Oh. Kang Oh has appeared!â
Burkan and Dukeramâs fight was followed by a battle between Kang Oh and Dukeram!
The excited network correspondents yelled at the top of their lungs.
âItâs a fight between rank 1 and 2. This will determine whoâs actually the strongest!â
âThe limitless challenger, Kang Oh. Will he be able to overcome the obstacle that is Emperor Dukeram? Stay tuned to find out! Donât change channels, youâll be sure to regret it!â
Kang Oh and Dukeramâs battle was broadcast to the entire world.
