Without Kang Oh, they couldnât kill Jigon, nor could they complete the goddessâs task.
Cyndia and her companions went as white as a sheet. âAh, Goddess!â
Meanwhile, the Draco Tribe looked ready to fight till the bitter end.
Helena furrowed her brow, while Bart considered running. Was he worried about Jigon? Nope. He was worried about Kang Oh.
âThat demonic beast may show up again.â
In the past, Bart and Kang Oh had hunted Wukong together.
At the time, Kang Oh had died. And when he did, he transformed into a fearsome demonic beast that devoured both Wukong and his companions.
Would that happen this time too?
He thought it would when Kang Oh said âIâll be back.â.
Of course, Kang Oh meant that heâd be revived, not that he would transform into a demonic beast. Not that Bart knew that.
âItâs ok. Mr. Kang Oh is alright.â Sephiro calmed down his companions.
âHeâs alright?â Helena asked.
âMr. Kang Oh has two lives.â
ââŚResurrection?â Bart asked.
The Sage class had a secret technique called Transmigration of Souls. This spell allowed the user to revive themselves and others.
A player could also be revived via items that possessed the âResurrectionâ ability.
Gariusâs Ring (SS-rank) was one such item that possessed this ability. It was owned by Gradonâs guildmaster.
âYes,â Sephiro quickly said.
Helena and Bartâs expressions brightened. They finally understood what Kang Oh meant.
âMr. Kang Oh will be back, so please attack Jigon. Our long-range attacks should work now!â Sephiro yelled.
It certainly seemed that way. After all, Kang Ohâs attacks had destroyed Jigonâs breastplate and helmet.
However, Jigon struck first. Once he regained his bearings, he flew towards Kang Ohâs party.
âAll thatâs left for you is despair.â
As always, he held the fearsome Black Sun within his hand.
The black flames spread over a large area.
Kang Ohâs companions flew all over the place. However, not all of them were capable of dodging the black flames.
A paladinâs face contorted in pain as his body was engulfed in flames.
He was vaporized instantly.
The Church of Death didnât have that many people left. They had Cyndia, twelve paladins, and seven priests. Twenty people in total, even though theyâd started with a hundred.
âOh, Goddess. Please watch over us so that we can fulfill the duty you left for us.â
âTake heart, everyone. The goddess will watch over us,â Cyndia yelled, sporting a resolute expression.
The paladins raised their shields and flew around Jigon. They would do whatever it took to draw Jigonâs attention.
Bart, Helena, and Sephiro bombarded Jigon with attacks.
Waryong just barely dodged the black flames, while Sephiro forcefully drew his bowstring.
The arrow flew from his fingertips, and fiercely spun as it made its way to its target.
The arrow pierced Jigonâs shoulder. Sephiro had been aiming for his throat, but Jigon had twisted his body right before it hit.
Helena and Bart were up next.
A refreshing stream of water erupted from Helenaâs staff.
Bart cast an Elementalist spell.
A wind spirit, which emanated dim light, flew towards Jigon.
Jigon drew a circle with his off-hand.
As a result, a blinding, incandescent light filled the sky as if a flash-bang had gone off.
Normally, Jigon didnât feel the need to use such crude methods to deal with insects like them. He would just crush them with his overwhelming strength like a child stomping on an ant.
However, the situation had changed.
His fight with Kang Oh had exhausted his supply of life force. Now, he could only maintain the Black Sun for another 5 minutes. He couldnât restore his Gold Monarchâs Armor either.
He didnât like it, but he had to resort to such crude methods.
This attack, which was completely unlike Jigon, worked beautifully.
The blinding light forced them to close their eyes.
Jigon swept through them with the Black Sun. It was as if a pack of wolves were rushing towards their prey.
Helenaâs Torrent spell evaporated immediately, and Bartâs Wind Spirit combusted.
Half of the eight remaining Draco Warriors were killed.
âFinally!â Jigon beamed.
He had finally punished the criminal that had poked a hole in his wing.
âUheok!â Sephiro widened his eyes and screamed.
Black flames burned on his arm and Waryongâs wings.
In an instant, Sephiro and Waryong disappeared. Sephiro tried to do whatever he could to save Waryong.
This skill transported a pet into oneâs inventory.
Waryong was sucked into Sephiroâs inventory. Fortunately, the black flames didnât follow.
The black flames completely devoured Sephiro.
Sephiro floated in a black background and received a game over screen.
A hexagonal shard of light appeared in the air. However, it wasnât alone. More and more shards of light appeared and clumped together with the first shard.
The shards fused together into a honeycomb-like shape. Then, the shards coalesced into the shape of a human being.
The light faded, revealing Kang Ohâs face and the black color of his Avenger set.
Flaming wings spread out of his back.
Kang Oh slowly opened his eyes.
[You are the Phoenixâs father. Resurrection has been enhanced.]
[HP and MP have been fully restored.]
[For 10 minutes, all abilities increase by 30%, and your maximum HP is doubled.]
[For 5 minutes, HP is replenished so quickly that you are essentially immortal.]
[You may now use Sun Sword (Active/Skill).]
âIt took longer than I expected.â
The black flames were truly formidable. Since Kang Ohâs body was completely destroyed, it had taken longer than normal to fully revive him. Only after his body was fully reformed was he able to regain control of his character.
However, what he saw didnât bode well.
The Draco Tribe and the paladins had been completely wiped out. Only Cyndia, a few priests, Bart, and Helena were left.
âWhat about Sephiro and Waryong? Did they die?â
Jigon fought cleverly. He would use Sun Godâs Glance to blind them, act as though he were attacking someone and then suddenly switch targets, etc.
Even though it had only been a few minutes since Kang Oh had died, almost all of his comrades had died.
âItâs Mr. Kang Oh!â
The few survivors welcomed his arrival.
It took him way too long to revive himself. Bart rebuked him, but he looked quite happy to see him.
On the other hand, Helena looked indifferent. She was busy casting spells and avoiding the Black Sun.
Jigon, whoâd been aiming for Helena, suddenly switched targets and attacked Kang Oh.
He was shocked by Kang Ohâs return. Plus, he was still wielding that fearsome jet-black demon sword of his.
Heâd obviously have to kill Kang Oh first.
Kang Oh responded immediately. He didnât have any more second chances, after all.
However, his flaming wings disappeared, and he suddenly plummeted to the ground. By dying, Gluttony, Devil Trigger, and Gainusâs Flight spell had all been removed.
He immediately used Devil Trigger.
As soon as the dark red wings protruded from his back, he quickly flew through the air. Tasha had flown him out of harmâs way before he even had a chance to order her around.
At the same time, he forcefully swung Demon Sword Ubist.
The three-lined energy clashed with the Black Sun.
For a brief moment, the Black Sun stopped. And that brief moment was enough to save Kang Ohâs skin.
Kang Oh dodged the flickering black flame and escaped.
Jigon bit his lip. The Black Sun wouldnât last much longer, and the only one that could kill him had come back! He couldnât help but get desperate.
âI have to kill him before then!â
Jigon drew a circle with his off-hand, and unleashed blinding light.
This skill had worked quite well against Kang Ohâs companions.
Kang Oh hadnât experienced it before, so it had to work. As expected, Kang Oh closed his eyes.
âNow!â Jigon swung the Black Sun as hard as he could.
Kang Oh could fight even without his sight. Not only did he have his Hyper Intuition, but he had experience fighting in Ubistâs trial without his eyes.
He predicted his enemyâs attack via his Hyper Intuition, and instinctively gauged the distance between him and Jigon.
Rather than retreat, he skillfully flew forward and avoided the Black Sun.
Then, he was able to open his eyes. He was greeted by the sight of Jigonâs flustered face.
He was only 2 meters from Jigon!
Demon Sword Ubist sliced through Jigon at transcendent speed.
After that, he immediately turned his body.
Coated in blood red energy, Blood pierced through Jigonâs heart.
His snow-white blade unleashed blood red energy, which spread across Jigonâs body.
It was an Emperorâs Strike.
Once he felt the red energy gnaw at his body, Jigon widened his eyes and forcefully swung the Black Sun with both hands.
Darkness spread across him like an umbrella, which blocked the black flames for the briefest of moments.
A giant lightning spear struck Jigon. This was Helenaâs handiwork.
Bartâs Chaos Sphere came after.
Kang Oh had seen Helena and Bart unleash these attacks. Thus, he had bought some time so that their attacks could hit.
The Chaos Sphere resulted in a massive explosion. Bart was one step away from becoming a Master, so the attack was far more powerful than before.
Jigon was caught in the explosion without his golden armor.
A yellow full moon appeared within the explosion.
Kang Oh had used Moonâs Protection, which shielded him from all attacks for 3 seconds. Fortunately, he had remained unscathed.
However, Jigon was immortal. Kang Oh, Helena, and Bartâs attacks had put his HP to 0.
Still, the pain he felt was very real. It was as if he were being ripped to shreds.
Even so, the Black Sun came for Kang Oh.
The black flames consumed Kang Ohâs barrier.
3 seconds wasnât a long time. The barrier disappeared by itself. The black flames spread like an invading force.
They couldnât kill him without Kang Oh.
However, the barrier was completely empty.
âWhat?â Jigon widened his eyes.
A jet-black greatsword pierced through Jigonâs chest.
Jigon turned his head and saw a horned demon.
Moonâs Protection had been bait. Right after he used it, he used Abyss Transfer to escape. Then, he appeared behind Jigon and launched a surprise attack.
Jigon tried swinging the Black Sun again. However, it dwindled in size until it disappeared completely.
The Black Sun wasnât the only thing that disappeared. Ubistâs darkness devoured Jigonâs body too.
His eternal twin, Mayanes Krishan, had entrusted him with her sources and her seed, and had asked him to revive her.
âSorry. I donât think Iâll be able to fulfill thatâŚâ
He wouldnât be able to revive his sister, revive the Mayanes, slaughter the gods and take their place, etc. All of it had gone up in smoke.
This marked the end of Mayanes Jigon, the one who called himself the Sun God and had possessed three of the God of Creationâs sources.
