In the end, Orga didnât heed Jigonâs advice. He had warned him not to go, as he knew it would be a trap.
Left with no other choice, Jigon followed him, but he made sure to keep his distance.
It wasnât that hard for him to avoid the surveillance magic that Gainus had set up all across the Ruman Mountains.
He assumed that Orga knew about the surveillance magic, but couldnât care less about being detected.
Anyhow, Jigon hid his presence and watched as Orga engaged his enemies.
The Maam Cliff was a giant trap designed to catch both him and Orga. Fighting here would be foolish if you didnât know where the traps were.
Plus, he came here as insurance, nothing more.
If Orga was caught in the trap and was in danger, then heâd come out and rescue him.
It had gone as he expected.
Once Orga was put in danger, Jigon had no choice but to save him.
Mayanes Jigon had an attractively tall body, a handsome face, jade eyes, and white, outstretched wings. He immediately stretched out his hands.
Dark red fireballs formed atop his palms. Flame pillars burst from the orbs like an erupting volcano.
The two miniature suns descended on the Maam Cliff, which had transformed into a lake. There were three people outside of the lake: Helena, Sephiro, and Waryong.
âI have to stop him!â Helena grabbed her staff with both hands. Then, her eyes glowed with a purple hue.
This secret technique simultaneously increased her magic power and her MP consumption.
âThe power of great mother natureâŚâ
Gainus could cast every spell without chanting. However, Helena needed to recite the chant of a few of her most powerful spells.
ââŚSweep through everything!â
Of course, her chant was brief, and she recited it quickly.
Upon completion, she cast two spells simultaneously. It was the effect of Double Casting!
The water in the lake surged. A portion of it transformed into a fang made of ice.
Helenaâs staff radiated intense light.
Blue lightning flew through the air, and a whirlwind raged around her.
These spells, which she had put her heart and soul into, made contact with the two miniature suns.
The fireballs blew up like firecrackers. However, the small cinders of fire spread like hail.
Helena immediately flew out of the way via Gainusâs Flight spell. She didnât forget to protect herself with a Water Barrier either.
Upon contact, the water barrier released steam, which obscured her vision.
She heard someoneâs cry.
Helena cast a wind spell to clear away the steam. Then, she saw Sephiro plummet to the ground, the flames burning his entire body.
It seemed like he hadnât been able to dodge all of the cinders.
When she was about to help himâŚ
Waryong flapped its red wings and quickly flew down to save its master.
Sephiro was drenched in water. The flames were extinguished, causing steam to rise from his body.
After that, Waryong rushed into the water.
Helena raised her head. She saw several flaming spears in the air.
Jigon forcefully lowered his raised hand.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The flaming spears fell like shooting stars.
People shot out of the water. It was the paladins and priests from the Church of Death.
âYou are the highest and most sacred being in this worldâŚâ
With Cyndia in the middle, the paladins and priests cast a large-scale protective barrier. Bright light radiated from their bodies.
A giant umbrella of light surrounded them. Countless cinders fell upon the umbrella.
âHoo.â Helena sighed.
That was a relief. If they hadnât cast that protective barrier, then they would have incurred a ton of casualties.
All of a sudden, a giant water pillar surged from underneath her feet. Bart came out of the water with an Ice Giant.
It was as if this scene were from a robot comic.
âHowâs it going down there?â Helena asked.
âThe dragon and Orga are fighting right now. We divided our forces. Gainus, Kang Oh, and Eder will deal with Orga, while the rest of us will take on Jigon,â Bart said.
âI see.â Helena nodded her head.
âIce Beam,â Bart said jokingly.
âWhat are you talking about?â
Then, the Ice Giant opened its mouth and unleashed a snow-white beam!
âCool, right?â Bart gave her thumbs up and flew into the air.
That was the beginning of their counterattack.
Members of the Church of Death rose into the air to fight Jigon too.
The Draco Tribe belatedly popped out of the water and flew towards Jigon.
Waryong was flying in between them, its wings completely outstretched. Sephiro was riding on its back.
The Wyvern Rider, Sephiro, had come.
When Mayanes Jigonâs flame pillars burnt Gainusâs back, he jumped into the water. Letâs not forget that Mayanes Orga, who was grievously injured, was still in his mouth.
Gainus looked around with his giant eyes. However, there were giant bubbles obscuring his vision, so he couldnât ascertain Kang Ohâs location.
He felt Orga writhe within his mouth, so he bit even harder.
However, Orgaâs body suddenly started to swell. Plus, Gainus began to feel incredible pain on his tongue!
Gainus was forced to spit him out.
Orga had transformed into an unknown, giant being.
His legs had fused together into a giant tail, and his waist had elongated. Plus, blue scales began to grow all over his body. Orgaâs legs had become a giant snake tail.
Orgaâs white wings became even larger too.
His chest swelled significantly, and his shoulders widened. Also, his arms, which had thickened and elongated, were covered in scales as well.
He wore a white, bony starfish on his face like a helmet, and his shark eyes radiated intense light.
This was Orgaâs battle mode. It was similar to how Jacques had transformed into a giant insect.
Orga raised his Bow of Anger. It too had gotten larger to match his new size.
Orga quickly pulled and let go of the bowstring.
The white energy shot out like a torpedo.
Gainus immediately responded with a spell.
A swirling vortex consumed the white energy.
Orga followed this up with a number of blue beams that he shot out of his body.
Gainus immediately counterattacked as well. His spells appeared everywhere.
There were repeated explosions between the two, and water pillars surged from the surface of the water.
It was a battle that you couldnât intrude upon.
Thus, the paladins, priests, and the Draco Tribe focused on Orgaâs underwater monsters.
Bart summoned an Ice Giant and joined in as well.
Then, Kang Oh and Eder appeared again. They had been pushed a fair distance away by the strong current, and had only just returned.
Kang Oh approached Gainus, and then locked eyes with him.
âLet me help you,â he seemed to say, tapping his weapons together.
Gainus slightly nodded his head.
Sephiro fell into the waterâs depths.
The flames were immediately extinguished. After that, Waryong rushed into the water and pulled him out.
That got Gainusâs attention.
âWe have to send people to fight Jigon!â
He quickly sent a message to his allies via telepathy.
âKang Oh and Eder will stay here. The rest of you, get out of the water and deal with Jigon!â
The Church of Death, which acted as one, got out of the water first.
Bart and his Ice Giant, as well as the Draco Tribe, fought off the underwater monsters as they surfaced from the lake.
Sephiro was brought out of his stupor by Gainusâs telepathy. He naturally got on top of Waryongâs back.
âLetâs go!â He tapped Waryongâs back. Then, Waryong rose up out of the water.
âHow dare you look away!?â
Orga unleashed even more destructive attacks. Gainus matched him with even greater spells.
The underwater monsters began to gather around Kang Oh and Eder.
Eder created more undead monsters using their corpses.
The undead bone sharks and monster sharks bit each other. The Rotten Krakens, with two of their tentacles cut off, tangled with the still healthy krakens. Lastly, the bone armored undead Fishmen fought with the Fishman Warriors.
Of course, there were more underwater monsters than there were undead. However, Eder wasnât alone.
âLetâs clear these guys out first.â
He couldnât join Gainus just yet. After all, he didnât want to get in between those two and risk getting hurt.
Demon Sword Sarahoff transformed into a Yuki-Onna that wore white fur clothes.
Once she appeared, Sara began freezing anyone that got close. The frozen monsters floated to the surface of the water.
Kang Oh switched to Ubist.
Both Blood and Ubistâs respective energies covered his form.
His face was covered by a beast mask, demon horns protruded from his head, dark red wings sprouted from his back, and a jet-black tail came out from behind. The Dual Demon had come!
Underwater monsters came at him from every which way.
âCareful.â Tashaâs voice echoed through his head.
Kang Oh spread out and swung his swords.
The two disparate auras flew at his enemies. Then, Kang Oh began to rampage about.
âI shouldâve used it earlier.â
Tasha controlled his wings, helping to steady himself underwater. Plus, flapping his wings propelled him through the water even faster. It had the same effect as him kicking at the water.
Underwater combat wouldnât be an issue for him anymore.
His jet-black and snow-white blades went clean through the monsters. He began shredding the underwater monsters to bits!
Even the Draco Warriors, which possessed dragon scales, were burnt black by Jigonâs flames.
Jigon coldly looked at his handwork and then turned his head. Paladins were charging at him with their shields in front.
He raised his slightly bent right hand and then forcefully swung it.
He swung a flaming claw at them, which burst from his five fingers.
They couldnât block all the flames with their shields. Jigonâs targets began to ignite with flame.
The priests clasped their hands together and quickly cast spells to aid their comrades.
The paladinsâ condition began to improve. Plus, Helena used water magic on them to douse the flames.
Jigon swung both of his hands.
It was like a rainbow made of flames. Two of them at that! The paladins began to burn once more.
âHurry, I need healing!â
âI need a barrier over here!â
The priests and Helena couldnât save all of them. Two of the paladins burnt to cinders instantly.
A fiercely spinning, harpoon-like arrow flew at Jigon.
The arrow grazed Jigonâs left wing. If he had folded his wing even a second slower, then the arrow wouldâve punctured a hole through his wing.
Jigon slightly furrowed his brow.
The Mayanes were extremely proud of their wings. However, his wing had just been damaged.
That was an unforgivable crime.
âRepent in death.â Jigon pointed a finger at Sephiro.
A flame pillar suddenly appeared where he was. However, Sephiro was completely fine.
Waryong had flown them out of danger.
He left the driving to Waryong, and focused entirely on attacking Jigon.
He hit him for real this time.
His arrow pierced through Jigonâs right wing.
âHowâs that feel!?â Sephiro clenched his fist. âIâm a Wyvern Rider!â
It looked like heâd really pissed Jigon off.
âYou insect!â Jigonâs face contorted.
Black flames surged from his hand. The flames soon transformed into a flaming sword.
This sword had once killed countless dragons, and was a blade that even the gods feared.
The âBlack Sunâ had appeared.
