For a few days now, Kang Oh felt like someone was watching him.
âSomeoneâs definitely watching us.â
Whoever was watching them was doing a good job; they were doing their damndest to not be noticed. Thus, Sephiro and Eder hadnât noticed them yet.
But Kang Oh, who possessed Hyper Intuition, could feel them watching.
âIf thatâs the case, then why are they watching me, or usâŚ?â Kang Oh thought back to everything heâs done recently. âAre they Jailaâs followers?â
Heâd recently annihilated a group of Jailaâs followers and had gotten in their way. Evil God Worshippers would have plenty of reasons to be watching him.
âIf not, then is it the Empire Guild?â
Though Kainshell was a dungeon under the Empire Guildâs control, Kang Ohâs party had âsecretlyâ killed its boss, Clovis. What if they had found out that he was the perpetrator?
âIf thatâs not it either, then do they have a grudge against me? Whatever the case, I canât let this go on!â
He didnât know who they were, but it was clear that they were spying on him! There was also no way that they were watching him with good intentions either.
If thatâs the case, thenâŚ
âI have to play my hand.â Kang Oh decided to make his move before he got caught in their scheme.
He called Sephiro and Eder to his room within the Nuwak Inn.
After all, their surveillance didnât go so far as to watch his room.
A short while laterâŚ
Sephiro and Eder opened the door and came inside.
âWhatâs the matter?â Sephiro asked.
âPlease sit down.â
Eder and Sephiro sat down.
âSomeoneâs watching us,â Kang Oh said.
âWhat?â Sephiro widened his eyes. What was heâŚ?
âReally?â Eder asked.
âYeah, really,â Kang Oh said with certainty, looking completely serious.
He was clearly telling the truth!
âWhoâs watching us?â
âIâm not exactly sure. They could be Jailaâs followers or the Empire Guild. They could also be someone else.â
âMm, I just hope itâs not the Empire Guild,â Eder said weakly.
âSo whatâs your plan?â Eder asked.
âWhat do you think?â Kang Oh answered with a question of his own.
âA pre-emptive strike.â Eder knew how Kang Oh thought.
âYep.â Kang Oh grinned.
âWe need to lure the spies out into the open,â Sephiro said.
âYes. We need to act like weâre escaping their net,â Kang Oh said.
âThen theyâll try to catch us,â Eder said.
âThatâs when theyâll realize that what theyâve caught isnât fish, but a shark.â Kang Oh clenched his fist.
âBut are we enough? Theyâll be ready for us,â Eder said anxiously.
âAnd⌠if the Empire Guild is watching us, then they wonât give up. They pay back twice what theyâre owed. Thatâs their motto,â Sephiro said concernedly.
It was as if he was saying, âWhat do we do if itâs the Empire Guild?â.
âIf theyâre Jailaâs followers, then they wonât give up either. Thereâs nothing scarier than faith,â Eder said.
âThatâs why we need to intimidate them. Make them think, âAh, we canât mess with these guys!â,â Kang Oh said.
âHow?â Eder asked.
âGive me your communication earrings.â Kang Oh extended his hand.
âWhat?â
Why did he need the communication earrings all of a sudden?
âIâm calling a monster!â
A monster that could overwhelm whoever was watching them, no matter how powerful they were!
Kang Oh knew several such monsters, and would call one of them this time.

Knock, knock.
Kraal opened his eyes. âCome in.â
Upon entering the room, Kroba said, âI received an urgent report.â
âWhat is it?â
âOur prey is getting ready to run.â
Their âpreyâ referred to Kang Ohâs party.
âWhat?â Kraal furrowed his brow.
âOur spies have verified this. Our prey will soon leave the Great Forest and travel to some other place.â
âWhere are they going?â
âThey were vague, saying things like âthat placeâ or âa good placeâ.â
âSo they planned this.â
âIf not, then they couldâve noticed that weâve been watching them,â Kroba said cautiously.
âThey found out?â
âYes. So theyâre either trying to escape, or lure us into a trap.â
âHmm.â
Kroba remained silent while Kraal thought this over.
How much time had passed?
Kraal said, âWe shouldnât go after them now; weâre not completely ready yetâŚâ
âUnderstood. Then Iâll tell the men to follow themâŚâ
âHowever!â
âYes?â
âI need to let headquarters know. And if they provide us with some reinforcements, then weâre going to strike.â
âUnderstood. Then Iâll tell our spies, which are spread out throughout the forest, to center around our prey.â
Kroba was a competent vice-captain. He did what Kraal wanted without being ordered.
âYou do that. Go on.â
âYes sir.â
Kroba left the room, and Kraal opened a message window.
Then, he sent a message to the Empire Guildâs vice-captain.
âVice-Captain Jegal.â
â Whatâs the matter?
â I need some reinforcements.
â Reinforcements?
â The targets are trying to escape my net.
Kraal had already reported that he was gunning for Oga and his party.
Of course, heâd also explained why he believed that they were the perpetrators.
Thus, he didnât need to explain anything to Jegal.
â Are you not ready yet?
Jegal knew how Kraal operated. He trusted in Kraalâs methods; he would kill his targets only after being completely prepared.
However, his preparations often gave his prey enough time to escape.
â Yes. We canât be hasty, as our targets are not to be underestimated.
The vice-captain didnât reply for some time. Jegal was organizing his thoughts.
â Iâll send you some reinforcements.
â Itâs urgent.
â Iâll send Ridgeley and the Brown Bear Squadâs elites.
âRidgeley and the Brown Bear Squad!â Kraal smiled.
The Brown Bear Squad was a part of the Empire Guildâs armed forces.
Ridgeley was the captain of the squad and also a high ranker, which meant that he was in the top 100!
With their strength, he could take down Ogaâs party no matter what.
âI can mark him and then kill him again and again.â Kraal smirked.
He possessed the Intermediate Tracking skill. Kraal could âmarkâ people with it. He could track whoever was marked for the duration of a week.
â Thank you very much!
â Ridgeley and twenty of the Brown Bear Squadâs elites are leaving right now. Wait next to the Modrak intercity transfer gate.
â Understood.
â Remember, you must record footage of you killing Oga.
There was a simple reason that Jegal sent both a high ranker, Ridgeley, and the elites of the Brown Bear Squad.
Heâd make use of this opportunity to crush an up and coming player, Oga, and show off the Empire Guildâs might!
ButâŚ
Would it really go as planned?

Miu.
Three Yumas ran side by side, ridden by Kang Oh, Eder, and Sephiro.
Theyâd finished exploring a dungeon, and were on their way back to the Nuwak Village.
âDo you think theyâve noticed?â Eder asked.
Kang Ohâs party had leaked that they were leaving the Great Forest, in order to draw their watchers out.
The method they used was simple. They said farewell to the Nuwak tribesmen and said, âWeâll be leaving soonâ. That was it.
Obviously, they hadnât told them exactly where they were going.
âWe just have to wait,â Kang Oh said confidently.
âThey wonât attack us while weâre in the Nuwak Village. There are plenty of people watching, and the warriors there wonât just sit by and do nothing,â Sephiro said.
âExactly. If theyâre going to attack us, then theyâre going to do it while weâre in a dungeon or when weâve left the village, like right now,â Kang Oh said.
He was proven right not long after.
A short while laterâŚ
Kang Ohâs party was surrounded by Kraalâs Assassination Squad.
At first, ten of them blocked his partyâs way forward. But then, they came from every direction, instantly surrounding them. It seemed like there were more than 100 of them.
âIt doesnât look like theyâre Jailaâs followers,â Eder whispered.
Some of them wore masks, while others didnât; those who didnât bore red eyes.
âDamn it, itâs the Empire Guildâs Sweepers.â Sephiro knew who they were at first glance.
âThey mustâve found out that it was us at Kainshell,â Kang Oh whispered.
The spies were from the Empire Guild! If thatâs the case, then theyâd discovered that he and his party had secretly killed Kainshellâs boss.
âTch, this is why I didnât want to be involved.â Sephiro looked like he wanted to cry.
âItâs already water under the bridge.â Kang Oh shrugged his shoulders. What was he going to do about it now? It was already spilt milk.
ThenâŚ
The Assassination parted, letting through Kraal, Kroba, and several bulky warriors.
âIâm a member of the Empire Guild, Kraal,â Kraal stepped forward and yelled.
Eder slightly pushed Kang Oh forward. He was basically saying, âYouâre up.â.
âSo? Why are you surrounding us and threatening us?â Kang Oh yelled.
âYou really donât know?â Kraal narrowed his eyes at Kang Oh.
âNot really.â
âKainshell!â
âWhat about it?â
âYouâre the ones who secretly killed the boss there, even though the dungeon is under the Empire Guildâs control!â Kraal yelled.
âYeah, we killed Kainshellâs boss monster. So what?â
Kang Oh didnât deny it. After all, Eder was carrying around the Hellfire Mace.
He didnât want to argue either. Kang Oh didnât believe that killing the boss put him in the wrong.
âYou stole the Empire Guildâs property.â
âWhy does the dungeon boss belong to you? It belongs to whoever killed it,â Kang Oh said unrelentingly.
âI told you, our guild manages that dungeon.â
âTch, tch.â Kang Oh clicked his tongue. âThis is why you have to get rid of these giant guilds.â
âDid you guys buy it?â he continued.
âWe didnât buy it. We occupied it.â
âThatâs illegal. What are you, gangsters? Itâs like youâve occupied a nightclub or something.â
âKeep barking.â Kraal snarled and his red eyes gleamed.
âThat must be a sore spot. If youâre a gangster, then act like one and come at me with your little sticks.â Kang Oh gestured for them to âcome onâ with his hand.
âEnough. Iâll take over from here.â A man, garbed in leather armor and a halberd leaning on his shoulder, stepped forward.
Kraal backed off without complaint. After all, the man had far greater authority than he did.
âOh, so youâre Oga?â the man asked.
âI am, why?â
Kang Oh had no intention of revealing his real ID, so he wouldnât remove his helmet or be transparent.
âIâm Ridgeley.â
âRidgeley. That Ridgeley?â Kang Oh knew who this man was. He was an incredibly famous player, so thereâs no way he wouldnât know who he was.
He was both a higher ranker and the leader of one of the Empire Guildâs squads.
âYouâre pretty famous.â
âSo you know who I am. Anyhow, I know who you are too. Youâre pretty strong.â Ridgeley spoke to him informally, as if he were speaking to a subordinate.
âIâm not âprettyâ strong. Iâm really strong.â Kang Oh knew just how strong he was.
âReally? Then letâs have a match!â
Ridgeley had seen TGNâs Warriors of the Great Forest. Heâd obviously seen Oga too. He wanted to fight him.
âOne-on-one?â Kang Oh asked.
âOne-on-one.â Ridgeley nodded his head.
âIâd rather not.â
He brought this many people here and has the gall to ask for a one on one fight? What a joke.
âWhat?â
âYouâre too weak, so come at me all at once!â Kang Oh said provokingly. He then gestured for them to attack him once more.
âIâm weak!?â
Grr.
Ridgeley gritted his teeth. He felt unpleasant, as if heâd been slapped across the face.
âIâll grind you to dust!â Ridgeley rushed at him like an angry bear!
