5th floor of a medical building inside the Simyang City region.
There was a man with a sullen expression lying on a bed inside a six-person room. The man was the PSB Homicides Departmentâs 3rd team leader, Yimyung. After going through full tests and observation, the doctor concluded that Yimyung needed only a week at the hospital despite the bullet penetration wound.
[Thereâs no sign of infection and you have been treated with regenerative treatment, so you will only need about a week at a hospital and youâll be off to work.]
He was told that he could go back to work desk jobs starting in a week. It was very fortunate when considering the wound he had taken.
âUgh⌠itâs noisy.â
He became annoyed at the loud television sound coming from within the room. But he couldnât tell others to turn the volume down since he shared the room with other people, especially because these people were old men who couldnât hear much.
âWhy arenât they sleeping?â
Older folks did not seem to sleep as much. They even had the television turned on for the entire night.
âDammit. I still got shot⌠why canât they put me in a private room with workerâs compensation insurance or something?â
Yimyung mumbled to himself. He was glad when he heard that the medical bills would be taken care of by the insurance, but it wasnât the best-case scenario. After the moment they decided that he only needed a week inside the hospital, he was moved over to one of the public rooms without hesitation.
*rumble*
He then heard a rumbling sound within his stomach, asking for food. He couldnât eat much of his dinner yesterday as he had to take the regenerative treatment, and he had to wake up early in the morning due to extreme hunger. Just in time, a nurse came into the hospital room.
âHi. How are you feeling?â
The nurse checked on Yimyungâs state and Yimyung asked, âExcuse me. When can I have something to eat?â
âOh? Right. Let me checkâŚâ
The nurse glanced over at the patient chart for Yimyung, then spoke with a smile.
âYour doctor will come in to check at noon today, and if you are okay by then, then you will have porridge after that.â
âUghhhâŚâ
Yimyung frowned. He was already starving to death. He couldnât bear to wait until the afternoon. He then came up with another question, which he knew the answer to, but decided to ask anyway.
âCan I maybe have a cigaretteâŚâ
Thatâs when he heard the sound of the television ringing throughout the room.
-Breaking news. We have received a report that Fire Head Gang Leader Sohn and his members have broken out of the PSB temporary cells. They were arrested last evening due to drug trafficking andâŚ-
âWhat?â
Yimyung became shocked and turned toward the television. The television soon showed security camera footage of the PSB Headquarters and a press conference with the Director of the PSB.
-âŚCaptain Song Wigang of the Homicides Department passed away while escaping the scene with the crime scene evidence. We, the PSB, will not let this incidentâŚ-
âDAMMIT!!â
Yimyung shouted with rage. He was dumbfounded of breaking out of the headquarters already, and now his direct supervisor, Song Wigang, had also died.
âWhat happened?â
There had been ongoing emergencies during the 12 hours that Yimyung had been in the hospital. Yimyung then jumped out of bed at once.
âN-no! Sir!â
The nurse became shocked and tried to put Yimyung down on the bed, but Yimyung pushed her and spoke quickly.
âI have to get out, now.â
âBut you canât justâŚâ
Yimyung ignored the nurse trying to stop him and pulled out the needles on his arms. Blood trickled down his arms where the needles had been, but Yimyung walked out of the hospital room, swaying from side to side. The nurse followed him out and shouted from behind.
âMr. Moyong!â

Simyang City PSB
The PSB was faced with a severe number of casualties even when the Gate had not been opened yet. The atmosphere was dark and gloomy. All PSB employees were called out to take matters into their own hands.
âNooâŚ.! NOOOO!â
ââŚYou told us of his passing, and I canât even take a look at my husbandâs body?â
Families of the dead agents wailed outside building headquarters, but they werenât allowed to take a look at the bodies of their loved ones. Civilians would require their familiesâ approval for investigating on the bodies, but PSB Agents were waived from such permission as their job required to be on the extreme side of things. The PSB entrance was taped out and blocked any non-permitted entry.
âWe heard the footage revealed is the only one that you have! Is the PSB hiding something from the public?â
âIs the PSB trying to control the media?!â
There were also a bunch of reporters and news media people crowded outside. They had been gathered outside headquarters ever since the press conference with the PSB Director. Thanks to all these people, PSB Agents who were called out since the early morning had been having trouble taking control over at the entrance.

âWe will have another press conference after we finish our investigation. Please, stand back!â
PSB policemen shouted while trying to push back reporters who were trying to push in. They had been saying the same thing over 30 minutes already. Thatâs when one of the reporters pointed at a black sedan moving in toward the headquarters compound and shouted.
âWhatâs with that car?! Werenât all entries outside the PSB all blocked? That carâs not from the PSB! Why is that car going in?!â
âThis is unfair! We should go inside too!â
With that, all reporters began to shout with rage. Policemen became frustrated as they didnât know what to say.
