Faur was very experienced. From high school to college, she changed boyfriends faster than she changed her outfit.

On the other hand, Fali was more introverted. She hadn’t grown into her features back then either and was a bit below average. Especially compared to the brilliant Faur, Fali seemed plain.

When she went to college, she suddenly became beautiful. But due to her past habits and personality, she couldn’t ever get a boyfriend.

Laurent and Winnip even suspected that she was lesbian. After hearing that she got a boyfriend, they were both relieved and worried.

Would she get lied to? Would she get hurt?

They were too lazy to ask about Faur’s relationships. She was always the one hurting others. The guys could never hurt her. They just wished that their daughter wouldn’t be too harsh on the guys.

It was different with Fali though. She was loud and bold normally, but she actually had a sensitive and fragile personality.

This was why they were especially worried and came to L.A. just for her.

“I just remembered that I need to make a call,” Faur came up with an excuse. She wanted to call without Laurent and Winnip watching.

But Winnip just smiled at her. “Is there anyone you can’t call in front of us?”

“Uh…no.” Faur felt awkward. Facing her seemingly gentle but actually authoritative mother, she didn’t know what to do. “Whatever. It’s nothing important.”

Winnip was a smart businesswoman. Even Laurent, a former senator, surrendered to her, let alone Faur. Winnip had always been the scary parent.

Their car arrived at Beverly Hills. Winnip was a bit surprised. “They live here?”

“Yes.”

“Is Fali’s boyfriend rich?”

“No, they’re only living here temporarily. Their previous house had a fire, so they’re borrowing their friend’s house.”

“Why are they borrowing instead of renting their own?” Laurent said, unhappy. “A man would rather live in a tiny apartment than borrowing someone else’s place. I have no respect for someone like him.”

“Dad, Chen is pretty successful. He has a high income too. I heard that they bought a piece of land and are building a new home. It’ll take two more months though, and you can’t rent a suitable house from the real estate agent during that time, so they borrowed from a friend.”

Faur explained voluntarily because she’d promised Chen Zhao to try her best and make him sound good before her parents.

“Wow, you know a lot. Are you familiar with that man?” Winnip looked meaningfully at Faur.

“Mom, do you think that your daughter is a slut?”

“You always liked to steal Fali’s things as a child.”

“That was a long time ago,” Faur said, annoyed.

The car parked in front of the house and everyone got off.

Sitting in the living room, Chen Zhao already saw Laurent, Winnip, and the three unfortunate bodyguards through the glass. He just didn’t see the smaller Faur standing in the back.

He rushed out. “How dare you appear before me again! Haven’t learned your lesson?”

“Hi…Chen!” Faur realized that Chen Zhao had met her parents before and they’d had a conflict. She hurriedly made a sound to stop the problem from worsening.

“Faur, how come you’re here? Did they kidnap you?”

“Uh…Let me introduce you all…”

“Mom, Dad…” Fali’s sound came from behind Chen Zhao.

Chen Zhao turned stiffly and saw Fali run out. When he looked back at Laurent and Winnip, they both had meaningful smiles.

“What did you just say? Can you say it again?” Laurent grinned at Chen Zhao, stroking his beard.

Faur buried her face. Fali hadn’t noticed the awkward atmosphere and happily welcomed Laurent and Winnip in. Kane, Karim and Howard all covered their mouths, trying hard to keep their laughs in.

Chen Zhao glared at the three. He gestured at White Ma, Black Ma, Walter, and Obitos and then pointed at the three.

Chen Zhao’s four demon lords surrounded the three poor bodyguards with evil intentions.

“Chen, what are you doing out there? Come in!” Fali’s voice sounded. “Let me introduce everyone. This is my mom and dad.”

“Hello, sir and madam.” Chen Zhao had a forced smile.

“Dad, this is my boyfriend, Chen Zhao. You can call him Chen.”

“Help…” Kane and the others cried outside.

“Obitos, all of you get over here!” Fali called. “You’re bullying people again.”

Obitos and the other demons sadly returned to the house and communicated with Chen Zhao through gazes.

“Fali, what does Chen do?”

“He’s a doctor.”

“Which hospital does he work at? Is he Faur’s colleague?” Laurent asked, despite knowing the answer. The next moment, he touched something cool and exclaimed, “Ah…Snake! Snake!”

Fali went over and tossed Raymond out. “Dad, don’t be scared. That’s Raymond.”

“Fali,” Winnip said. “I thought you’re really scared of snakes.”

“I’m used to it,” Fali said indifferently. “They’re all good kids.”

“I’d think that he’s an animal trainer,” Laurent said, scoffing. “Why does he have so many pets instead of working hard at being a doctor? Is he going to open a zoo.”

“Mr. Laurent, I noticed that you’re using some medicine recently. These aren’t good for your heart, so I think it’s best if you stop taking them. Problems with sex are common ailments for men, so you shouldn’t feel embarrassed about going to see a doctor about them.”

Chen Zhao mercilessly exposed Laurent in front of everyone.

Laurent’s eyes widened and his face reddened. “What nonsense are you spouting? My body is perfectly fine. I don’t take any medicine.”

“Oh, maybe I made a mistake.” Chen Zhao pursed his lips.

She felt like this could give Chen Zhao some brownie points. He could get on Laurent’s good side by healing him.

“I’m not sick. I don’t need a doctor.” Laurent’s face twisted in anger.

Winnip looked at him. Others might not know, but she obviously knew.
