Chapter 29.1

She felt that big devil’s demeanor seemed to be rather condescending.

Simply taking joy in calamity and delight in disasters of others.

But Little Orchid did not dare anger him. She silently followed him for a bit and then pulled on his sleeve.

Dong Fang Qing Cang turned around to look at her. Little Orchid’s eyes shone as she looked at him, “Big devil, for the many times living with you, I know your eyes are steadfast and pure compared to a lot of others. You are not as bad as in the legends. Inside your heart you have hidden a gentleness that no one has seen…”

“You’re crazy. Where did such delusion came from of this matter.” Dong Fang Qing Cang flatly exposed the lies of Little Orchid, “Save your strength, and treasure the time that isn’t much anymore.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang began to step forward. Little Orchid almost wanted to hug his thigh, “Big devil, you cannot just see suffering and not save ah! Nonetheless, we’ve been through life-threatening situations for so many times! Can consider the common friendship from suffering through obstacles together!”

“Friendship?” Dong Fang Qing Cang picked two words from Little Orchid’s words to repeat and tone was rather mocking.*

*It’s two words in Chinese text but one word for English meaning.

Little Orchid gnashed her teeth and rolled eyes, “Fine, you don’t help me, I won’t help you. Don’t dream about getting out of this maze!”

Dong Fang Qing Cang heard a funny situation. He laughed into sound, “Little flower demon, you are so scared to the point of speaking nonsense?”

Little Orchid responded, “I have heard master has told stories about you. In the legends would say that when born, you have a pair of devil eyes. Proclaimed that in this world there was nothing that you cannot see through. According to logic, you fell into this maze. Should have been able to quickly see through this maze and break though it. But from before I have heard from outside that a guard reported with Qian Yin langjun about a person who has charged into the maze of Qian Yin mountain. Besides you there is no one else. From that time to now, for such a long period of time like this, but you still cannot see the center of the maze*, big devil…”

Little Orchid paused. Those words she has spoke are speculations inside her mind and she is not definite. But wanting Dong Fang Qing Cang to save her, she then has to risk with death and pretend.

Pretend to be profound and unperturbed.

*T/N: Although I put center of maze, it’s referring to the eye of the maze (kind of like the eye of the storm where it’s calm and all). The eye is referring to the area where you aren’t necessarily trapped in the maze and can be used to escape the maze or be destroyed to exit out of maze.   Translations by Chocolate Cosmos

“I have thought definitely that you have not seen the center of the maze. As for the reason why [you] cannot see is for sure…you have lost your powers…”

Dong Fang Qing Cang’s eyes grew cold and side-eyed Little Orchid one glance. This glance was filled with hostile energy hidden in the eyes that has caused Little Orchid to retreat toward the back.

But he has not made a move at her and only coldly look at her as if waiting for her to continue.

Anyhow, Little Orchid in regards with the matter of lying to someone, she’s lacking in confidence. She spoke several nonsense sentences to gain confidence, “If not then you think about it. With your current situation, if your powers were still here then Qian Yin mountain would not b

e like how it is now. It’s just if the mountain and ocean were overturned by you like those three thousands soldiers, you would flap your sleeve and others would disappeared than let yourself suffer as you go slowly step by step into the darkness.”

“It’s seldom that there is intelligent moment.”

It seemed that what she speculated as nonsense were correctly guessed. Little Orchid was rejoicing inside and seriously continued, “Thus you will save me!”

Dong Fang Qing Cang furrowed his brows.

“I know where the center of the maze is.”

After that Dong Fang Qing Cang laughed, “Little flower demon, do you considered ben zuo as a three year old?” He coldly spoke, “From before ben zuo has told you this place was the maze and you appeared to be so naïve to the point of not realizing that you have fallen into the maze. Ben zuo would believe such rubbish words of yours?”

“I’m speaking rubbish or not, you have heard, alright.” Little Orchid spoke, “I have been brought here to Qian Yin mountain by Qian Yin langjun. Qian Yin langjun loves to collect treasures and my master was Siming Xingjun in the Heavenly realm who has written fates while researching some on rare treasures of the world. I am influenced by the light and have known quite a few treasures. When chatting with Qian Yin langjun, has caused him to become interested with the matter that I can recognize the treasures. Thus, [he] has brought me into secret room in the library.”

Such stories were the truth. Little Orchid has spoken calmly and Dong Fang Qing Cang has no commentaries.

“From before when going to the secret passage from library to the hidden room that held the treasures, he has carried a lantern and brought me along a path that was dark and long.” Little Orchid pointed to the front, “Like right now.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang folded arms and eyes were faintly pensive.
