27 : Taruwiveno ＋ – 1\n\n\n“Unlike the 2nd layer, there’s cover here. Though, that could either be a good thing or bad.”\nAnyways, I’m on the 4th layer now, but my first impression of the area was that there was less visibility compared to the 2nd layer due to the hills and barriers of debris made out of reinforced concrete.\nBasically, you could move around while hiding yourself, but that meant your opponents would be able to do so as well.\nFurthermore, the size of the 4th layer was practically similar to the 2nd layer and the earth below the building could be seen from where the broken part of the wall was without any obstructions.\nAs expected, it appears that the 3rd layer was the only place that was strange.\n\n“There’s holes opened up here……”\nIn addition, what was noteworthy was…… the floor and ceiling had some perforations in them, and fairly clamorous noises could be heard from the layer above, sounding like birds chirping and rats squeaking.\nI wonder if the birds and rats were fighting with each other or something.\nI didn’t find a staircase leading up right away and it would be highly risky to barge into the middle of a melee, so I decided not to go check.\nThough the vines were short and there were only a few, I could also see some dangling meat fern flowers hanging from the 4th layer’s ceiling too.\nWell, as long as it’s not blooming, I guess its fine to ignore it.\n\n“Enemy spotted, now then……”\nI pointed and used my 『Appraisal Loupe』on a rat that seemed to be concerned over the clash that was happening on the layer above.\n\n\n△△△△△\nPoison Spitting Rat Level 6 \nHP : 1,501/1,501\n▽▽▽▽▽\n\n\n“Okay, a poison spitting one, right?”\nI couldn’t see any other rats around the vicinity.\nThus, I slowly creeped closer behind the Poison Spitting Rat…… and kicked it in its rear.\n\n“Jyuu!?”\n“Ouch!?”\nThe kicked Poison Spitting Rat cries out.\nI didn’t sense any sign of movement from possibly other rats.\nIt was far harder than I’d imagined and moreover, I had an eye on the top of my foot as well so I plainly took some damage.\nBefore anything else, moving forward, let’s vow to refrain from punching and kicking entirely.\n\n“Jyuuu…”\n“Fufufu….”\nWell, so be it.\nAs the Poison Spitting Rat glared at me, I backed away from it little by little with my hand at the ready on the Poison Retrieving Bag.\n\n“Jyua!”\n“Hoi“\nThe Poison Spitting Rat spurted out poison, ejecting it with force from the bottom of its front tooth.\nI caught it up front with the Poison Retrieving Bag and the seized poison disappeared into the inside of the bag.\nAdditionally, my body slightly retreated backwards due to the recoil caused from stopping the poison.\nAnd as expected, I didn’t believe that the amount of venom from just that one shot was enough.\n\n“Jyua! Jyua! Jyua!!”\n“Thanks, cheers.”\nFor that reason, I continued to further collect the venom.\nThe appearance of other rats still could not be seen.\n\n“……”\n“Oh my? Out of ammo?”\nThe Poison Spitting Rat looked over at me in resentment.\nI said that it ran out of ammo, but in actuality, the correct answer was that it had realized that its attacks weren’t affecting me and it was distressed because of that, or possibly, it felt bitter over it.\nEven if it was still far from lacking in ammo, there wasn’t any reason for it to wastefully fire unnecessary bullets.\n\n“Then, here’s some payback. 『Taruwiveno』”\n“Jyua!?”\nIn any event, the other party didn’t seem interested in attacking any more so the outcome just ended up one-sided.\nThat being said, it was given over 100 stacks of poison and died as is.\nWith this, since I’ve finished dealing with it, the other rats will probably amass around this Poison Spitting Rat corpse soon.\n\n“””Jyuu! Jyuu! Jyuu!!”””\n“Still, they arrived pretty fast and their numbers were many.”\n“Chuu chuu chuu!”\nOnce the Poison Spitting Rat was defeated, no less than 10 rats from the 4th layer came sprinting as fast as their legs could carry them and gathered nearby.\nSome of the rats started attacking me since they saw me first, but I would evade their attacks again and again or intercept with the Poison Retrieving Bag. Upon doing so, they would yield and head over in the corpse’s direction.\nThe Poison Rat’s Pointed Hat was also quite greedy and seemed to have a reaction to the dead body as well.\n\n“””Jyuuuuuu……”””\n“Now then……”\nIt appears that they were done feasting on their comrade.\nAll of the rats turned their eyes towards me.\nI checked over my shoulder once again to make sure there wouldn’t be any problems behind me.\nI readied my Poison Retrieving Bag.\n\n“””Jyua!!”””\nAround 3 Poisonous Bite Rats stormed towards me.\nOn top of that, the remaining Poison Spitting Rats hurled venom my way.\nTherefore, I secured and collected the venom that came flying at me with the Poison Retrieving Bag, then……\n\n“””Jyuu!?”””\n“Yes yes, you have my condolences.”\nBecause of the recoil from stopping the poison, I was pushed back from the collapsed section in the wall and ended up outside of the building.\nAfter that happened, I immediately mobilized my wings and moved to a spot against the exterior wall of the building, so that I wouldn’t be caught in the rats’ line of fire.\nThe 3 Poisonous Bite Rats who couldn’t put a halt to their momentum pitifully jumped out of the building and began performing a rope-less bungee at a height that was over 50 meters.\n\n“Well, I’ve completed my objective, I guess I’ll flee this time.”\nOnce I’d confirmed that the Poisonous Bite Rats had become smudges on the ground, I slowly started my descent down.\nThe span of the『Tower of Mice』reached a little over a meter outside the building’s wall at the very least, so if I went down this way, I should be able to head back inside from the broken portion in the 2nd layer’s wall.\n\n“… There were birds up top if I recall correctly and it looks like a giant one’s here too.”\nI glanced up at the top of the building.\nWhen I did, an enormous black bird spread its wings which were as wide as the building and was about to fly away. \nFrom what I saw, the bird was heading to a mountain with some sort of smoke coming out of it.\nIf I had the right equipment, would I be able to go there one day?\n\n“And I’ve arrived.”\nThus, I gently descended for ten or so seconds.\nI approached the 2nd layer at about 3 meters away from the floor.\nThe enemies on the 2nd layer…… didn’t seem to change and they still haven’t noticed me.\n\n“Hm…… Maybe I’ll challenge myself later and try to create a shortcut across a layer utilizing the dangling meat fern flower vines.”\nI travelled from the 2nd layer to the 1st and returned to the safety area.\nThe 3rd layer was an inconvenient place to pass through, so it would probably be best to see if I could make a shortcut there.\n\n“Well, for now, this’ll be all in regards to the morning. I suppose I should curse the venom from the Poison Spitting Rats in the afternoon.”\n“Chuu chuu!”\nAt any rate, it was around a good time to stop, so I briefly logged out.\n
