Wu has finished his training on breeding snakes, he bought 200 small snakes from the centre, he rented a 200 square feet apartment and kept them all in there. He would visit them in the day, look at how well they're doing. But most of the time he was at the clinic looking at some documents, he didn't leave that place for one whole week.
Shuai noticed that Wu had been staying at the clinic, so he wanted to annoy him.
'Hey, why aren't you going out to meet him?'
Wu knew Shuai was talking about Chi, he showed no interest.Ā
'This is called the devious tactic, I'll hit the iron while it's hot until I feel that it's time for me to disappear for a while. I've said before, I'm baiting him not wooing him.'
Shuai scurried in front of Wu, looking at his face and asked, 'What if you didn't hit it hard enough? You've wasted your time that you had spent with him, in the end, he's not even interested in you.'
Wu said confidently, 'Don't worry, within three days, he'll show up here.'
'So certain?' Shuai laughed.
Wu punched lightly on Shuai's chest, 'Who's my master?'
The duo grinned devilishly.
After 5 minutes, the apprentice whom Wu knew from the centreĀ arrived at the clinic.
'Wu, 5 of our snakes died again.'
Wu was much calmerĀ as compared to the anxious apprentice.
'No worries, continueĀ to keep an eye on them, I'll pay for the losses, we'll split after we've earned some cash back.'
After the apprentice as went back, Shuai asked Wu, 'What happened? Didn't you learn from them?'
Wu stood up and poured himself a cup and gulped, replied slowly, 'No, there's something wrong with the bunch of hatchlings. They stuffed sand in them, they'll all perish within a month.'
'Fuck!' Shuai was enraged, 'Aren't them a bit too overboard? You helped them for almost two months, yet they sold you a problematic bunch?'
Wu was very cool about it, 'How do you think they earn money? The risk is too huge if you raise them the correct way, you'll need a large sum of money too. It takes a long time for them to become adults, it's considered not bad if 70 percent of them are still breathing. Until you sell them inĀ the market, the prices kept fluctuating, a lot of breeders had lost a lot of money. So the breeder would say that they're accepting students to teach them breeding skills, but instead, they cheated their money and sold their hatchlings at a high price.'
'So this industry is full of sinister people...' Wu raised his eyebrows, 'Then why did you still buy them?'
'To bait someone.' his eyes were glowing.
Shuai realized this guy is getting obsessed, 'I almost forgot he kept snakes. Don't tell me you're willing to lose your money just to bait him?'
'I won't lose anything, not with him around.'
Shuai cleared his throat, asked, 'You're not afraid that he expose your evil thoughts? By then, the innocent, pure image that you're trying to create will be gone.'
'You're wrong!' Wu's eyes became ever vibrant, 'You'll look even fake if you're acting really kind and naive, it's more convincing if you show some of your corrupted self.'Ā
Shuai patted Wu's shoulder, 'You can be a master now.'
An evil laughter rang again.

After work, just when Chi got into the car, Jealous clung onto him immediately, brushing its head against his cheeks. It kept sticking its tongue out, looks like someone's hungry.
Chi reached out to a box beside him, took out a hamster and put it near its mouth.
Jealous continued to rub against Chi's arm, it didn't want a hamster, it wants a big wild-caught rat.
Chi was furious, where can I find you a rat now? What the heck, Iron Head fed you for only a few days and now you're getting picky? And now he's not showing up! Chi felt that Jealous was being fussy recently, it kept pestering him with all sorts of things, it started to worry him.
Chi looked out at the empty basketball court, there were mixed emotions inside.
