âDead, all dead⌠Demon Fighter Glan is dead, the powerful mage Gleen Pan is dead⌠Even the Bloodline Warrior Cage is deadâŚâ
Like a pile of mud, Caeller sat on the ground softly as if he had no bones. Grey and devastation filled his eyes as he felt hopeless. All the elite forces from Cae Family were all gone in two daysâŚall goneâŚ
âIn this second duel between Roll Family and Cae Family, the Guardian of Roll Family, Qian Jin, won!â Sabonisâ loud voice resonated in the yard, âNext, the final duel of the day shall proceed. Warriors and mages from both side, please come down to the battle ring.â
All the warriors behind Caeller looked at each other and pushed each other. In the end, all of them started to move backward as a whole. These warriors also stared at the only mage in their circle and saw the mage slowly backing off as well.
âAre you kidding?â They all thought. Qian Jin was able to kill a Bloodline Warrior cruelly even though he knew the warrior was a disciple of Zene Skylar. âWonât he kill me easily if I go up?â When Mage Mece looked at Qian Jin, he had a strange feeling, âThis young man with the Zhanmadao in his hands looks like a Demon Beast that is guarding its baby infants in the wild; when if it was facing a powerful beast hunter, it will risk its life to protect the infants behind it.â
Gabriella was still fainted, and Qian Jin was standing in the battle ring alone with the Zhanmadao that turned the warm sunshine into chilling lights by reflecting it off of its blade.
Sabonisâ attention returned to the people that represented Cae Family. Some of their warriors had backed out of the gate already; these warriors would fight until death on the Human-Demon Battlefront because they knew it was an honor to die there! But if they die here, there was no honor or glory in that at all.
âSo no one is willing to go?â Sabonis asked a question that even he thought as meaningless. He raised his hand again and announced, âOk then. The three duels between Roll Family and Cae Family shall end with Roll Family winning all three.â
âMr. Caeller, you still remember our bet, right?â Qian Jin looked down at Caellerâs eyes as he asked calmly, âI donât think Cae Family is poor enough to deny the bet, right? After all, Mr. Mayor was our witness.â
Caeller lowered his head sub-consciously then his eyes met Qian Jinâs. Without the protection from Bloodline Warrior Cage and Mage Gleen Pan, he was no different than a weak ant in front of Qian Jin. From his expression, people couldnât see the arrogance and dominating presence he had yesterday when he came for a visit and ordered his henchmen to kick open the gate; he didnât look like the man at the wheel for the branch of the Cae Family in Oakland.
âI donât have that much moneyâŚâ When Caeller said that with his head lowered, he felt like he couldnât breathe normally. He inhaled forcefully twice and felt like talking was this difficult for the first time in his life.
âMoney? Do you think Iâm asking for money?â
Qian Jinâs facial expression was still very calm, as if he was talking with an old friend on the side of the street. But he raised his leg and stomped at Caellerâs head at the next moment. The last bit of life inside Caeller was gone instantly.
Qian Jin was here for revenge. Since Caeller didnât have the money, then he would go to Cae Family for the money. After all, the mayor of Oakland was the witness of the bet, and he didnât think the family would let go of their reputation and deny it. In terms of Caeller? Caellerâs comedown didnât bring Qian Jin any joy. Even if Caeller was kneeling on the ground crying and begging for mercy, Qian Jin would feel annoyed rather than mental thrill and satisfaction.
Everything for him here was the duel and taking payback. Since the duel was over, he would naturally take Caellerâs life since his name was in the âaccounting bookâ.
If Qian Jin didnât want to clear up and finalize the financial ties and paybacks, he wonât even talk to Caeller.
There wasnât any painful screams or whines, and there werenât any threats that people would give at the last moment of their lives, such as âI wonât let you live easily even if I become an undead!â or âIâm the disciple or the son or the descendant of some influential or powerful character.â There was only a series of bone cracking and breaking noises followed by the muffled noise of the corpse hitting the ground, and the scene of Caellerâs corpse being dragged on the ground.
Caeller was dead was well. At the moment of death, Sabonisâ eyes twitched a little, and the warriors and the mage from Cae Family all instantly felt a chill going down their spines.
âThis Qian JinâŚâ A thousand types of emotion rushed to Sabonisâ mind. âThis Qian Jin is too clean! He is already a level 5 Demon Fighter at this age, and he is already able to suppress Cage who was in his Thunder Cat Bloodline Battle Form and kill Cage with one punch; he didnât leave his opponent with any chance of getting stronger in the future and come to him for revenge. Iâm better off treating him and the Roll Family nicely, and I hope I donât have to become an enemy of his. Even if I want to get rid of him, my own strength and my henchmen would be harmed to a great degree.â
âCongratulation, congratulations.â Sabonis walked out of the mourning hall and laughed as he looked at Qian Jin. âIf one day Mr. Qian Jin wants to go to Cae Family to get the reward of the bet, I would definitely come as a witness.â
Qian Jin nodded. He was going to get the money no matter what it takes. Since the situation was already at this stage, his brain would be not functioning if he thought there would be peace between the two families as long as he didnât ask for the money from the bet. The hatred between foes was hard to resolve once it was there, and the only way for this hate to be gone was the disappearance of one party in this relationship.
It was the same thing between people, between families, and between countries. Otherwise, why do the humans and the demons fight for numerous years without taking a break?
After Sabonis left, the people from Cae Family also took the corpses of their people and quickly left.
Fabreidis looked at Qian Jin who was very courageous and upright as he sighed. âWasnât I the same when I was young? After I suffered many losses and took many beatings, I gradually stopped being so impulsive. If I help him to take on some of the pressure, he probably wonât act this way then he grows up more and gets more mature.â He thought.
âQian Jin, you killed Cage which was equivalent to murdering the Cae Familyâs hope of developing more and getting stronger. You have killed their top warriors and mage, and you might encounter the assassins who they will pay a lot for. Cageâs death would trigger them to risk everything to kill you.â Fabriedis said with a worried expression: âZene Skylar would also not let this go easily after he knows about it, and the Mage Union behind Gleen PanâŚâ
Qian Jin looked at the coffin that was resting in the mourning hall and said lightly: âWhat else should I do? Let Cage live? Let him get stronger so he can come back and duel me again? If I didnât kill Cage, would they let the Roll Family go? If I didnât kill Caeller, would Rollin jump down from the stars and revive?â
Lights started to flash in Fabreidisâ calming eyes. âCould it be that Qian Jin isnât naĂŻve and impulsive? And I put too much weight on maturity and forgot the courage and the uprightness of a warrior?â He thought.
âLetâs find a doctor first.â Gomez Jane who had the fainted Gabriella in her arms interrupted the conversation about who was right and who was wrong.
âI will go.â
Rosella quickly rushed out of the yard and brought back a female doctor very soon.
Qian Jin realized that Rosella was very thoughtful. Gleen Panâs fireball hit Gabriella on the body, and the doctor had to strip away some of her clothes to see what harm the fireball had done.
If Rosella found a male doctor, then before this doctor could take off some of Gabriellaâs clothes, Gloria would open her eyes and reward the doctor with a series of burning fireballs until he was burnt to ashes.
âThe injuries done are not severe.â The female doctor took out a prescription and gave it to Rosella who was waiting outside. âGet these herbs and boil them together in a pot.â
âLet me see.â Fabreidis took the prescription from Rosellaâs hand. He then took the pen from the female doctor and started to write on the prescription as he said, âAlthough Iâm not great at being a doctor, Iâm better than them in terms of giving prescriptions to curing the injuries based on the severity.
Gomez Jane nodded. The warriors who had gone through numerous fights usually had their own ways of self-help. Especially in the field of herb prescriptions, normal doctors couldnât match up to them.
âOkâŚâ Fabreidis was handing the revised prescription to Rosella, but Qian Jin reached out and grabbed it from Fabreidisâ hand. He read it over and said, âSo some of the fire energy got into her heart and lungs. Glad that the harm it did isnât huge. I got it.â
Qian Jin put the prescription that Fabreidis revised into his pocket and said, âThis prescription has a slow recovering speed, and it isnât very good for supplementation as well. Just use mine.â
After he said that, he grabbed onto Rosellaâs hand and walked towards a building at the back as he asked, âIs there an herb storage room here?â He didnât even pay attention to other peopleâs reactions.
âYeah, this wayâŚ..â
The two of them chatted as they walked away. Fabreidis, Gomez Jane, and the female doctor were all stunned. âWhat is going on? How could Qian Jin who is very young know about pharmaceuticals? Does he want to use the basic knowledge he learned from the classes from school to prepare the medicine for Gabriella?â
The herb storage of the Roll Family was decently sized. There were four big rooms; three of them were for herb storage, and the last one was a fully equipped preparation room.
As soon as Qian Jin enter the rooms, he got very busy. He grabbed herbs from each of the drawers continuously and grabbed some of the herbs that he got from the Four Season Valley from his Warrior Dimension. After two years of studying Pharmaceuticals with Adams and with the help from [Memory Potion], the title of a Top-tier Pharmacist, he was only one step away from Adamsâ title of Pharmacy Master.

If it was only in terms of giving out prescriptions, Qian Jin was confident that he was better than anyone in the mourning hall.
Rosella stared at Qian Jin who was running around in curiosity. Qian Jin was dicing the herbs into a fine powder, grinding some animalâs fur into powders, and mixing them together in some kind of proportion. Rosella had seen nothing like this when she was getting a prescription from a pharmacy.
âOther pharmacists would boil all these herbs together.â Rosella got more confused as she watched Qian Jin more. âWhat is going on, Qian Jin? Why are you grinding everything into a powder, and why did you use more than thirty ingredients? The doctor only had seven ingredients on her list.â
âOk!â Qian Jin lifted a bowl filled with a light yellow potion from the table and handed it over to Rosella. âTake this to Gabriella and let her drink it. I will create another potion as a supplement to her recovery.â He said.
When Rosella took this bowl to the mourning hall, the three people there stared at the bowl and doubted, âWould this liquid really work if she drinks it?â
