Chapter 243 – My Daughter Will Not Sacrifice Everything For Her Younger Brother (part 15)
A few days later, Li Su was typing at home when she suddenly received a call from the teacher, asking her to come to school quickly.
Li Su vaguely heard a child crying on the phone, and before she had time to think about it, she immediately grabbed her phone and keys before heading out.
When she got to the teacher’s office, she heard someone yelling loudly, accompanied by the crying of a child before she even entered the door.
Li Su quickly pushed the door and went in. Fortunately, it wasn’t her Zhang Yao who was crying.
Li Su first nodded to the teacher, then walked over to Zhang Yao and asked softly, “Yao’er, are you alright?”
When Zhang Yao heard Li Su’s voice, she raised her head. “Mum!” The tears she had been keeping in for a long time finally fell and she threw herself into her mother’s arms.
Li Su half squatted and hugged her, very distressed. Zhang Yao rarely cried like this. She must have been wronged. “It’s okay. Mum is here. Don’t cry, don’t cry!”
Seeing this, the parent next to her couldn’t hold his expression anymore. He stretched out his hand and hit his son a few times. The child cried even louder. The teacher rushed over to pull him away. “The child is still young, and when encountering new things, he must be patiently educated. He should not be beaten or scolded casually.”
“Teacher, you don’t know that this kid is too naughty. He needs to be hit! He’s so disobedient. He threw the neighbor’s cell phone on the ground yesterday. I just taught him a lesson and he did it again today!” the parent said angrily as he got up to strike.
Li Su looked at the phone watch in Zhang Yao’s hand, and after listening to this, she probably understood what happened.
Another teacher next to her also explained it to Li Su. It turned out that the little boy saw that Zhang Yao was carrying a phone watch, so he wanted to take it to have a look. Zhang Yao loved it very much, so she refused. The little boy came up to grab it. During the quarrel between the two, the little boy pushed Zhang Yao. Zhang Yao fell and the watch fell to the ground and broke.
When the little boy saw that the watch was broken, he ran away immediately.
When they started fighting, some classmates ran to the office to find the teacher. Both were then brought to the office by the teacher.
Li Su heard that Zhang Yao was pushed and immediately pulled her up and looked her up and down. “Where did you fall? Does it hurt?”
Zhang Yao sniffed. “My hands hurt!”
Li Su took a look at her hand, and saw that a large piece of skin had been scraped on her palm. Some blood was flowing and there were some bruises on her arm.
When the parent saw it, he was both embarrassed and angry. “I’m really embarrassed. It’s all my child being naughty. Why don’t you take your child to the hospital for a check-up and I’ll pay for it?”
Li Su touched her arm, asked Zhang Yao if it hurt, and then asked her if there was any pain in her body. Zhang Yao shook her head.
Li Su was relieved. “It’s just a little scratch. It’s nothing serious. You don’t need to go to the hospital. You don’t have to hit the child. If the child is naughty, then just educate him well.”
The parent didn’t expect Li Su to be so reasonable, and was a little surprised. “Are you really not going to the hospital? Take two hundred dollars and buy some milk pork ribs for the child! As for the phone watch, I will pay for another one!”
Li Su saw that the other party was quite reasonable, and from the looks of his clothes, his family seemed to not be well off. She refused the two hundred yuan. Then, she smiled and said, “No, it’s just a trivial matter. It’s normal for children to play boisterously. Take the money back!”
Then, they left with the teacher and took Zhang Yao to the clinic to treat the wound.
Li Su walked out of the school with the schoolbag in one hand and Zhang Yao’s hand in the other.
“Mum, I’m sorry,” Zhang Yao said softly.
Li Su smiled and touched Zhang Yao’s head. “It’s not your fault. You don’t need to apologise.”
“But I broke my phone watch that mother bought for me.” The more Zhang Yao thought about it, the more she cried.
Li Su stopped her. “Okay, don’t cry anymore! If the phone watch is broken, then just take it to get repaired.”
Zhang Yao, who was crying, was suddenly stunned. Huh? Could it still be repaired?
Li Su couldn’t help but take Zhang Yao to the clinic to deal with the injury on her hand. Then she took her to a mobile phone repair shop and handed over the phone watch. “Excuse me, can this be repaired?”
The young man took it over and looked at it. After fiddling with it for a while, he said, “It can.”
Zhang Yao was overjoyed. “Really?” Then, she couldn’t wait to lie on the table and watch.
Li Su took the phone watch and handed it to Zhang Yao. “Try calling mother and see if you can get through.”
Zhang Yao excitedly called her mother’s number. “Yes, mother, the phone watch has been repaired! Thank you, uncle!” Then, she solemnly put the phone watch on her wrist again.
After returning home, Li Su put down her schoolbag. “Come on, Yao’er, let’s chat.”
Zhang Yao’s face changed all of a sudden. Was her mother going to criticise her?
Li Su took Zhang Yao and sat down on the sofa. “Yao’er, mum knows that it’s a good thing that you cherish things, but mum wants you to understand what the most important thing is.”
Didn’t she want to criticise her? Zhang Yao looked at Li Su blankly.
“I know that you are so nervous about the phone watch because you are sensible and know that it is hard for your mother to make money. But you need to know that the phone watch or other things are all external things. People are the most important. Mum hopes you understand this now or when you grow up. If you encounter this situation again, you must protect yourself first. If you lose an item, you just lose an item. You are the most important, understand? “Li Su said seriously.
“Mum!” Zhang Yao felt like she wanted to cry again.
“Okay, that’s all mum wants to tell you. Mum is going to cook. How about you? Will you do your homework or cook with your mum?” Li Su asked with a smile. Safety education was not achieved overnight. It had to be done slowly, day after day.
Zhang Yao held back her tears. “Mum, I’ll help you cook.” She didn’t want to do homework now. She just wanted to be with her mother.
“Okay, go wash your hands!” Li Su patted her butt gently and smiled.
The mother and daughter cooked together lovingly.
In the afternoon, Zhang Yao went to school alone as usual. Li Su saw on her cell phone that she had arrived at school safely. She was relieved. She saw that she was almost finished with the fruit and wanted to buy more in the supermarket.
As a result, as soon as she walked out of the gate of the community, a woman suddenly rushed in front of her and reached out to grab her face. “Slut!”
Li Su didn’t even think about blocking her hand. She slapped the woman.
“Who are you? Crazy!”
The woman was knocked to the ground. Li Su took a closer look to confirm that she did not know her.
The dedicated security guard of the community recognised Li Su as a property owner in the community. He quickly ran over to ask if she needed help or whether he should call the police.
Li Su was reminded by the security guard that yes, the police could deal with this.
Li Su took out her cellphone and was about to call the police when the woman suddenly rushed over. “Slut! Seducing other people’s husbands! You must die!”
Li Su rolled her eyes. “Who are you? Whose husband did I seduce? You better speak clearly or I will sue you for slander!”
“Where’s Zhang Wei? Where is Zhang Wei?”
“Zhang Wei? My ex-husband? Oh, you’re Qi Ya!” Li Su suddenly realised that when the crowd saw that her eyes were not quite right. She quickly said loudly, “It’s really a thief shouting to catch a thief. Zhang Wei is your husband? Since you were pregnant, Zhang Wei asked me for a divorce. I moved to W city with my child. What’s wrong? Am I in your way again?”
The plot reversed. More and more people watched.
That woman was Qi Ya. When she heard this, she said, “You lie! Who else would it be? Where is Zhang Wei? Let him come to see me!”
“Zhang Wei and I have been divorced for almost two years. How would I know where he is?! Why don’t you take care of your husband? Don’t come out and frame others, okay?” Li Su rolled her eyes.
“It’s really not you. Which vixen could it be? Has he come to find you?” Qi Ya saw that Li Su’s expression didn’t seem to be fake, and she believed her.
Li Su shook her head.
“No, you even know where I live. Can’t you find him?” Li Su asked.
Qi Ya glared at her. “Zhang Wei found your address before. He and that vixen took advantage when I returned to my hometown and sold the clothing store. He also sold the house and ran away with the money! ”
As Qi Ya spoke, she burst into tears.
She only went back to her hometown for a week. She handed over the clothing store to Zhang Wei. As soon as she came back, she found that the clothing store had changed hands. She went home to find Zhang Wei, but discovered that he hadn’t been home for a long time. When she went back, she happened to see the old man and the nanny holding their son and arguing with someone.
The parties confronted each other. They then understood what had happened. It turned out that Zhang Wei used the money from the clothing store to repay the bank loan Qi Ya owed, and then sold the house. He ran away with the money.
Qi Ya didn’t know how things turned out like this. The only thing she knew was that there was a vixen beside Zhang Wei who was there when he sold the clothing store and house.
Qi Ya went crazy and looked for Zhang Wei and that vixen everywhere, but she never caught sight of them.
In the end, she thought of Li Su. She thought that Li Su was the vixen, so she ran to W city to find Li Su, but was blocked at the gate of the community. She only knew the name of the community, but she didn’t know which building or unit she lived in. The security didn’t let her in at all.
Only then did Li Su find out that so many things had happened in the Zhang family after she left.
“You ran out like this to find someone
Where is your son? Who is looking after him?” Li Su asked. Mother Zhang was dead. Could Father Zhang take care of the child?
Qi Ya didn’t speak anymore. The onlookers pointed and Qi Ya suddenly realised how stupid her actions were. How could she expose her family shame in front of Li Su? Wasn’t this just humiliating herself? She shouldn’t be here.
Qi Ya stood up and rushed away without any expression on her face.
Li Su didn’t stop her and just let her go.
Seeing that the show was now over, the crowd dispersed.
Li Su was in a good mood. She was happy knowing that they were not having a good time. After that performance, she bought another five pounds of cherries and a box of kiwis.
Then Zhang Yao, who came home from school, complained a lot.
Li Su couldn’t share these good things with Zhang Yao, so she could only secretly have fun.
