Hearing the name that came out of Yoshikawaâs mouth, the boss shivered despite the sun was still high in the sky.
The Swordsman of Kusajishi who slaughtered more than 100 people all by himself?
Although that was such a long time ago, and he was just a small-time thug back then, the image of the swordsman who made everyone tremble was still deeply etched in his mind.
The boss rubbed his eyes and thoroughly looked at Muyang to make sure. Although Muyang was wearing a ShihakushĆ, the boss had no doubt that the man he was looking at was the Swordsman of Kusajishi!
After confirming that the man he was looking at was truly the Swordsman of Kusajishi, the bossâs legs were shaking. How couldnât he? The man was a cold-blooded killer who effortlessly killed 100 men!
The boss blamed his luck for encountering this cold-blooded killer. Not to mention that his men still seemed so eager to show their boss what they got.
When the boss saw Muyang seemed to have noticed the big crowds, he immediately turned around, trying to calm his men down and, if possible, change their minds.
âWhat are you planning to do?â
Before the boss could stop his men, he heard a faint voice asking him a question. Muyang was already right in front of the boss before he could do anything, and this obviously surprised him. Had the man behind him plan to kill him, he wouldâve died by now. The boss shuddered the moment he realized that.
The boss was racking his brain to find a way out as he turned around awkwardly.
âKilling a despicable Shinigami like you, of course. A mere Shinigami dares to step foot to our Kusajishi District! Who do you think you are?â
One of his men already ran his mouth off before he could stop him. This thug immediately said to his boss, âwhat are you waiting for, boss? Letâs beat the crap outta this Shinigami!â
It was as if every ounce of strength in the bossâs body left him. Heâd be beaten to death now because his men couldnât read the atmosphere.
âOh? Are you, now?â
Muyang asked with a weird expression on his face.
The boss immediately turned around and punched his men earlier in the face after sensing the sheer pressure coming from Muyangâs question. He then stared at all of his men with intimidating eyes to prevent them from repeating the same mistake.
After the boss showed asserted his dominance and silenced all of his men, he turned around and bowed respectfully to Muyang: âWelcome back to Kusajishi District, sir.â
Muyangâs eyes slightly widened as he realized the man in front of him was quite a sharp guy.
âYou know me?â
âOf course, Swordsman of Kusajishi. Thereâs no way Iâd forget your heroic feats even after you leave Kusajishi District, sir!â
Muyang almost couldnât contain his laughter. Sir? Heroic feat? Since when did he become such a respectable man?
Muyang started to take a liking to the man in front of him. It wasnât so bad to be praised once in a while, after all. Then, a certain thought suddenly crossed Muyangâs mind
âWhatâs your name?â
Muyang asked out of the blud.
âAoki.â Even though Aoki was stunned at first, he immediately replied.
âAoki, let me tell you something good.â
âââââââââ
Aoki bowed until Muyang completely disappeared before raising his head back up. He then turned towards his partner, Yoshikawa, who was standing beside him. Both of them looked at each other with a relieved expression on their faces. Apparently, they barely managed to stay alive yet again.
Muyang smiled as he thought that both Aoki and Yoshikawa were quite interesting. He took his time walking back to his old house as he looked forward to the time where Aoki and Yoshikawa brought him some surprise in the future
âHm?â
When Muyang saw a big tree, he stopped as he recalled the memories within him as that was where he used to practice Zanjutsu.
Muyang stroked the gashes on the tree, which was the aftermath of his training with Kimura Kazuya. As Muyang let go of his hand, his eyes drifted to the distance where a small wooden house was located, and his eyes got teary right away.
It only took a few seconds for him to arrive in front of the wooden house, and he was immediately overcome by emotion. Even though he knew there was no one inside, he still imagined that a foul-mouthed old man would suddenly open the door and cursed at him while smiling.
As he reached out to the door, he could feel his hands trembling as if heâd lose something forever once he opened that door. It was just a run-down wooden door, but it was as if it weighed a hundred pounds for Muyang.
Realizing he just couldnât muster the courage to open the door, Muyang put down his hands, closed his eyes, and took a few deep breaths. Only then did he reach out again to the door.
As the wooden door opened, a cloud of dust welcomed Muyang. According to Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai, it hasnât been that long since Kimura Kazuya passed away. However, it was clear that this house has been uninhabited for so long from the sheer amount of dust on the table, which was questionable for Muyang.
Muyang then walked towards Kimura Kazuyaâs room, still feeling off about this whole situation.
âBong!â
The moment he walked into Kimura Kazuyaâs room, Muyang suddenly felt something invisible was blocking him.
âThis isâŠâ
Muyang was astonished when he saw a transparent force blocking the door. From the looks of it, it seemed to be some form of KidĆ, and based on the Reiatsu, he was convinced that it was Kimura Kazuyaâs doing, which surprised him because that old man told him he couldnât use KidĆ at all.
Muyang couldnât even sense the Reiatsu from the KidĆ whatsoever until running into it, so it was most likely a KidĆ that Kimura Kazuya developed himself.
Muyang was upset when he realized that Kimura Kazuya lied about not being able to use KidĆ to him even though he was also a little less sad because that was just like Kimura Kazuya to annoy him.
Muyang tried to touch the wall made of KidĆ in front of him and sighed as he found that KidĆ was a complex one, maybe even rivaled the #90s KidĆ. When he realized this fact, Muyang felt even more upset as obviously, Kimura Kazuya mustâve been so proficient at KidĆ to be able to use one of this caliber, yet he claimed that he couldnât use KidĆ whatsoever.
Having said that, nullifying this KidĆ was the real task as he couldnât do it all by himself.
Muyang tried to pour his own Reiatsu to check what was so special about this KidĆ, and when he did, the invisible wall in front of him suddenly glowed.
Muyang was startled by this response and immediately took a few steps back. Who knew what kind of strange effect that KidĆ might have. It was Kimura Kazuyaâs doing after all, and there was no telling what he might do.
After glowing in blinding light, the wall of light in front of him evaporated like snow, revealing the room behind it.
As the KidĆ disappeared, Muyang felt gloomy for a while. Muyang couldnât help but feel guilty when he saw what was behind the door and subconsciously put his right hand on his Zanpakutoâs hilt.
