Everybody turned to look, and then they found that there was a man sitting on the main seat of the audience hall of their clanâs door somehowâŚThe very fashionable elderly man was now sipping his tea with aplomb.
The middle-aged man looked down at the small but very deep footprints on the wooden door and turned towards the main hall: âSenior, may I know which expert you are? Why did you come to my White Mountain Sect?â
Grandpa Wu put down the cup of tea in his hand with some disgust, then looked up at the middle-aged man. Hmm⌠this guy looks a little familiar, but I canât remember who he is.
The middle-aged manâs eyes widened at the moment Grandpa Wu raised his head. His hands and feet trembled as he shouted, âAre you Elder Wu?â
âYou know me?â Grandpa Wu raised his eyebrows.
âOf course, I know you. 23 years ago, I followed my master and had the honor of meeting you once,â the middle-aged man replied excitedly.
âItâs good if you know me. Whereâs Gu Rufeng?â Grandpa Wu asked.
âMaster is in the backyard wing. Iâll let someone go and ask him over,â the middle-aged man replied. He turned around and asked someone to invite Gu Rufeng, while he himself asked another disciple to serve good tea and set up snacks for Grandpa Wu to enjoy.
Shortly after, an old man with white hair donned in a purple robe walked in. His eyes widened when he saw Grandpa Wu: âBrother Wu, I havenât seen you for more than 20 years. I trust youâve been well since we last met, hahahahahaâŚâ
Grandpa Wu held a cup of tea and looked askance at Gu Rufeng with special indifference, leaving him alone from laughing merrily to shrink into dry laughter, laughing at his embarrassment.
âCoughâŚâ When Gu Rufeng heard no response from Grandpa Wu, he could only resolve the embarrassment himself. âWhy did Brother Wu suddenly think of finding me?â
âArenât you the one who invited me here?â Grandpa Wu said icily.
âWhat do you mean by that?â Gu Rufeng was surprised.
âBefore getting to work, let me ask you something,â Elder Wu put down his tea cup and asked, âDoes your White Mountain Sect have a disciple named Qi Changming?â
âChangming?â Gu Rufeng nodded and said, âChangming is my last disciple. Although he is young, he has learned the handed-down teachings of my White Mountain Sect best. Has Brother Wu seen my disciple?â
âI havenât seen him, but my disciple has,â Grandpa Wu replied.
âOh~~ Brother Wu, you also took in a disciple.â Gu Rufeng was surprised.
âMy disciple also fought with your disciple.â Grandpa Wu said, âHowever, your discipleâs cultivation is good, and he raised a Ghost King. My disciple is usually lazy and hates studying, and finally lost the fight.â
âVictory and defeat is common in battles. My disciple only won by a fluke, only a fluke,â Gu Rufengâs eyes were modest but couldnât hide the smugness deep within.
âHahaâŚâ Grandpa Wu deciphered the smugness on Gu Rufengâs face and suddenly sneered, âYou also know, I have no other shortcomings. Iâm just relatively protective of my peopleâs shortcomings.â
âIf I beat your disciple, Iâm afraid that people will say Iâm an old man bullying the young, so I came to find you.â Grandpa Wu looked relaxed, as if he was saying that the weather was good today.
ââŚâ Gu Rufeng stood up from his chair with a clatter, and said nervously, âThat-that⌠Brother Wu, is there any misunderstanding between us?â
âEven if there is a misunderstanding, so what? You see, I have come all the way here by plane just to find trouble with you. Do you think I will give up so easily?â Grandpa Wu laughed lightly, âAm I such a reasonable person in your eyes?â
