30 minutes later, I found Roar and Dike at the front door of the guild.
They were about to get to work, so all their equipment was ready.
ā Yo, Takaya! Man, Letty is the best. I asked her to please step on me and she told me to go jump off a bridge.
ā Dike, you have to stop. One day youāll really regret being like that.
Letty might be a guild member, but sheās only loyal to Rudra, Feria, and me. Of course, as long as people are polite to her sheāll be nice. Clearly, thatās not the case with Dike.
First Rudra, now Dikeā¦ I donāt understand whatās with Searat and getting stepped on.
ā Thank you for inviting us. Howās work?
ā Lots of orders. Anyways, whereās Meirir-san?
I couldnāt find the person who Iām looking forward to meeting the most.
Her place is minutes away from the guild. Even if she wasnāt expecting the invitation, it shouldnāt have taken her long to get here.

Hiding on the shadow of the building was Meirir looking at us from afar.
ā Uhh, Meirir-san, how long have you been there?
ā Since before the three of you got here.
ā You shouldāve said something.
ā Aaah, right? Yeah, probably. I donāt know. I couldnāt find the time to get in the conversation. Hahaā¦ This is awkwardā¦
Meirir was acting pretty distant, but itās not the first time.
She was acting like this too after I came back from my training.
She talks with Dike, Roar, and Mitta just as usual. In fact, sheās nice to Mike too. But sheās definitely been ignoring Letty and me.
Well, I guess I can see why. Iāve been surrounded by an alarming amount of beautiful women in these past months. Not that I meant to in the first place.
Her behavior isnāt that surprising considering the incident with Letty. Mitta made sure to clear up the misunderstanding, but I guess she still has her own doubts.
I donāt think she hates me though.

Roar poked my back with his elbow.
Heās saying āGet this over with alreadyā.
This mood could lead to communication issues. Which, in a dangerous environment, could lead to one of us getting sliced.
ā We still have an hour before we leave. How about you two go for a walk?
ā Yeah. Sheās kind of the light and soul of our party. Besides, you wouldnāt want to adventure like this, right?
ā Right.
But how do I even go about this?
Itās just an hour, but itāll be like a date.
Iām not at a Level where I could ask someone out, let alone be asked out.
I wish I had a better spread of skills.
ā DEAR LORD. Hey, Meirir. We forgot to buy something. Go kill some time with Takaya somewhere.

ā Forget about that. Takaya invited only US today.

Roar and Dike caught on to my intentions pretty quickly.
I invited them all just to have an excuse to talk to Meirir.
ā Takayaā¦ Is that true?
ā Uh, of course! We havenāt been able to talk properly lately.

I was so embarrassed I could barely look at her, but Meirirās face brightened up considerably.
ā Aw~ Come on! You invited us just for that? You wanted to spend time with us? You little dummy~
ā *Cough* Yes, thatās exactly it.
Meirir got close and patted me on the back.
Iām glad she understands some things canāt change in just a few months.
ā Well, we got time. We can walk around for a bit! Off we go!
ā S-Sure, but you donāt have to pull me.
I might be a bit embarrassed, but at least our relationship is back to normal.
