Yeah, 25 shotgun shells are sold in one box at a time.
$ 15.
BB bullets contain 4.5mm shotgun bullets in loose balls.
Itâs safe if I can buy bullets. Now I can get my hands on a barrel.
âReplacement barrel, Remington model 870, 12 gauge 26-inch smoothbore barrel.â
Where?
Itâs strange, but hey, the magic bag has no bottom, or even a long one is in it.
Pull out âŠ
This is mine.
Itâs a replacement barrel that I put in my gun locker!
Because I remember the bag containing this barrel!
I havenât run out of cash this time.
Thatâs free.
What I had in my lifetime was ordered as it was!
A great function âŠâŠ.
Looking at the muzzle, full aperture chalk has been attached. (1)
It is a setting that spreads to about 50 cm when you shoot a BB bullet at 30 m.
Wait, if I could get it from my gun lockerâŠ
âRWS Diana M52â
Uo ââââ!
Another one of my favorite guns. The Diana!
Diana is a German-made air gun. Fires using a spring-piston method.
Even though itâs an air gun, itâs different from the soft air guns used in Sabage.
This is a real air gun for hunting. The bullet is a lead bullet with a diameter of 4.5 mm. It has the power to penetrate the neck of a crow. The effective range is 40m.
With this air gun, if you use a bench rest, you can get a grouping of 2.5 cm at 50 m, so if you use the same bench rest as a Sabot slug, it will be 5 cm at 50 m. I think that Sabotâs accuracy is only that much.
This was also a relic that belonged to Grandpa.
I used this exclusively for crow and pigeon extermination.
Itâs for prey that doesnât require the use of a shotgun. Itâs cheap because the bullet fee is about 7 yen per shot.
Itâs much quieter and easier to handle than a gunpowder-based charge gun.
This isnât popular right now. You see, the precharge type (2) that stores up to 200 atm in the built-in tank with an air pump and shoots at that pressure is the mainstream now.
In that case, the range is close to 100mâŠ
But it seems like grandpa loved to use this kind of thing.
Even though it is a spring gun, it uses a much stronger spring than an airsoft gun, so it cannot be compressed by human power. So bending a long lever is needed to compress the strong spring. It has a very simple structure of firing bullets with a pneumatic piston and is extremely sturdy. Itâs for bird shooting, so it has a 12x larger and heavier scope. The total weight is 4.5kgâŠ
This gun is called Diana, and Grandpa has a lineup that seems to have predicted that I would be a hunter in a different worldâŠ
âSaran, how do you get rid of the crows?â
Yeah, the â-sanâ has been abandoned these days.
She was angry and said that I should stop attaching âsanâ to her name.
âHey, I canât catch a crow. I just drive it away⊠with a scarecrow or with an arrow.â
Oh, so thatâs all, huh?
Crows are hard to catch. It was the same in Japan.
They are smart, after all. They immediately escape outside the range of a gun.
I went to a goat ranch where crows are hard to chase, hid in a wagon with my gun, and started loading my gun, and then bang, bang, bang!
I dropped about 10 birds one after another.
Nearly a hundred crows sense the crisis as their brethren are killed one after another. They fly erratically while cawing as a means of warning others of the danger. I then switched to the shotgun and shot at the crows flying in the air!
Doun! Doun! Doun!
Five more birds shot at in rapid succession.
I took down a total of 15 birds. As expected, they ran away.
âThe air gun is amazing, itâs amazing! It can hit flying objects!â
Saran is surprised. You canât hit a flying bird with an arrow.
Shotguns shoot more than 100 small bullets that spread out widely all at once.
The crows donât stand a chance.
âIf you hang this up, the crows wonât get close to you.â
With that said, I will give the crowâs corpse to the goat farmer.
Please give it to the farmers in the neighborhood.
âRaccoons and foxes come out at night.â
⊠Because they are nocturnal. Just like deer.
A raccoon is a North American animal that wasnât native to Japan, but because of anime, someone tried to keep one as a pet but had to release it due to its ferocity. It then became wild and the population has been increasing in Hokkaido, Japan. I have seen some a few times.
Did one get caught in a box trap?
It growls and tries to bite humans. Itâs extremely ferocious. I couldnât get it out of the box trap because it was dangerous, so I thrust the muzzle through the gap in the net and shot the air gun into the heavens to stop it. Itâs not cute at all.
In Japan, firing after sunset is a violation of the Firearms and Swords Act.
You must never do it.
But this is a different world. It doesnât matter.
On a night of a full moon, I will wait with Saran in the field where raccoons appear.
Iâm here!
Iâll do this with an air gun âŠ
I canât see through the scope âŠ
â(SaranâŠ)â
â(Roger thatâŠâŠ.)â
Saran illuminates the are with my Maglite. The raccoons who were moving about, stop for a moment.
There!
Bang!
I hit one, but all of them ran away even the one I hit!
âŠâŠ Thatâs right. No matter how powerful the spring of the 4.5 mm is, itâs not enough to put down a raccoon. A fox has never been shot with this air gun either.
The air gunâs range is 50 meters and has70% of its power at that distance and when it flies 70 meters, its power is halved further.
The spring air rifle is for birds âŠ
The next morning, I yawn with Saran. I stayed up all night, but I couldnât catch any of them âŠ
âStop it, stop it! These steel-jaw traps were meant for the raccoons!â
Iâm using the steel-jaw trap that has been banned from use in Japan. But of course, this is a different world, so it doesnât matter.
The box trap is no good. I understand now.
Why do they bother inviting themselves to feed in the box trap? Is it because delicious vegetables and fruits are lined up in front of them? Itâs impossible. If you use a box trap, you must first enclose it with an electric fence so that they cannot escape easily.
Wild animals do not feel âshameâ. They will bite only the delicious parts of the vegetable bit by bit. Dozens of vegetables will be ruined until one is full. If any of them come every night, the vegetable fields will be wiped out.
The reason why steel jaws are banned is that they can be set off just by stepping on them, and all animals that get caught will injure their feet. Sometimes cats and dogs get caught, so officials banned it. If itâs a box trap, you can catch it without injuring it, and if a dog or cat gets trapped, you can free it, so it can be said to be a safe trap, but you canât catch anything without luck.
Is it $ 40 each? Itâs not banned in AmericaâŠ
Do I buy ten?
If I set this up in large quantities and caught two animals overnight.
I caught nine of them in a week. One was a fox.
The captured raccoon is fixed in the brain with an air gun.
Everyone would be happy if they brought back a raccoon or a fox.
Iâm going to make use of the fur.
About a week later, all the kids were wearing raccoon fur hats.
Behind the hat, that bushy tail is swaying about.
Cute!
âWell, Saran-san.â
âYes?â
At Saranâs house, we sit face to face again.
No, itâs also my house.
Itâs a habit, though.
âI thought the elves were a hunting race, but is there anyone else who hunts like this?â
âRecently⊠Iâve been doing it exclusively.â
âThatâs why the number of wild animals that arenât scared of the village, due to lack of increase in the people who hunt therefore the damage is expanding.â
âThatâs rightâ
It reminds me of the situation in rural Japan. Itâs the same.
âWell, Saran-san.â
â⊠Stop using â-sanâ.â
âBy the way, what is our income?â
Itâs been two weeks since I came to the elven village. I have already spent about 100,000 yen in Japanese yen.
Bullet charges, trap charges, and other hunting goods.
It doesnât seem like a big deal but now that we donât have any cash income, this was a visible sign of impending bankruptcy.
âI get a lot of vegetables and fruits from farmers.â
âYeah, the table looks very gorgeous these days. Saranâs food is very delicious and Iâm very happy. Thank you.â
âYour Welcome.â
Iâm smiling.
Yeah, no. Saran isnât thinking about what Iâm thinking.
âBy the way, human merchants come to this village, right?â
âYesâ
âWhat kind of things do merchants buy?â
âFur, horns, nuts, goat cheeseâ
âHmm âŠâ
I tried to thrust a deer horn into the magic bag.
I couldnât buy anything. Bartering is a no go.
âI want cash incomeâŠâ
âMoney?â
âYes. I donât need money for my daily life now. Iâm happy enough. I understand that.â
âYupâ
âBut I need money to buy gun bulletsâŠâ
âis that soâŠâŠâ
âWhat do I do now?â
ââŠâ
Elven people arenât interested in making money at all.
It can not be helped.
But you may be buying something of value at a terrible price.
After all, itâs about exchanging salt and fur.
â⊠You may need to go to the human city once.â
