When Simba discovered that he was controlled, it was too late.

Asser brought along Shreev as they appeared in front of the riders. One of the riders was forced to strip in order for Shreev to wear his costume while Asser hid in another rider’s clothing. The flying riders made a turn and flew towards the Door of Everlasting Life.

Asser controlled the riders’ legion and charged headlong into the door with dark swirling vortex. He had entered the interior of the fortress.

Zhao Yao hid within the Dimension Portal as he gazed at the dark door for half a day and hesitated whether to enter.

Asser must be very familiar with his opponent to dash headlong into the door.

Zhao Yao was not aware of the supercat behind the Door of Everlasting Life. Nobody knew what preparations Asser had done and what kind of superpower to expect.

He decided not to intrude into unfamiliar superpower realm.

After pondering, he got hold of Doll. “Doll, send some nano bugs into the door to take a look.”

Within the Door of Everlasting Life, it was pitch black and there was an ominous and terrifying atmosphere. The ceiling reflected subtle fluorescent lighting, barely providing sufficient light to be able to make out the environment.

Shreev walked inside and could not help saying, “Why is this place built like a tomb?”

Asser said, “Arria’s very afraid of humans but he likes this gothic style which is mouldy, wet, and stuffy, so he had cat moss every year. He’s such a fool.”

Shreev was surprised and said, “You’ve got cat moss too…”

“Of course! We’re using the Earth cat’s body. If the cat grows cat moss, we’ll have it too!” Asser said, “Enough of idle chat. When we find Arria, follow my instructions. Do not take unnecessary actions.”

Shreev said softly, “You’ve been talking all this time.”

Asser walked round and round the complex passageways as though they were in a labyrinth. Shreev could not help asking, “Why are we walking in circles? Do you know the way…”

“I don’t,” Asser said. “But I can feel the guy’s boundary. We are nearing him. Prepare to activate your superpower.”

Twenty minutes later, Shreev looked at a fridge and said, “This is our third time passing by this fridge. Are you able to find him?”

Asser was puzzled. “Something’s not right. It should be here. Why aren’t we finding him?”

Shreev rolled his eyes as he lost confidence in Asser’s senses. He walked to the fridge and said, “Forget it, I’m thirsty. I’ll take a drink and rest for a while.”

Asser said, “No, we don’t have time for rest! The Door of Everlasting Life Is getting stronger every moment! We have to stop him!”

“Perhaps you’re too tired. Take a rest and you might be able to sense him better?” Shreev walked to the fridge and opened it. “I wonder if there’s coke…”

Shreev froze as he opened the fridge. “Hey, Asser, is this the one?”

“Huh?” Asser turned his head and saw a long-furred Persian cat curled in the fridge. The cloudy eyes were opened widely and looked as though the cat did not sleep at all.

The Persian cat looked blankly at Shreev and said, “You are?”

Shreev slammed the fridge door and flew to Asser’s side.

The fridge was forced open with a bang as an angry Persian cat walked out. His body emitted freezing air streams and he had an ice crown on his head. There were numerous ghost figures struggling and distorting behind him.

“You’ve intruded into my home, kidnapped my men, and opened my fridge without my permission!”

“Unforgivable.”

“I’m going to destroy you! Humans!”

Shreev could not resist saying, “Because of this small matter, you are destroying mankind…”

Just as Arria appeared, Asser shot out countless blood rays from his body towards Arria.

“It’s you? Asser!” Arria roared in fury and the ghostly figures behind him shot out and collided with the blood shadows.

Outside the Door of Everlasting Life, Zhao Yao watched the video sent by the nano bugs. “Oh, they’re fighting.”

Watching the images with blood rays, ghostly figures and cold streams flying around, Zhao Yao commented, “It’s hard to determine their combat power. The power of awareness can’t be determined by appearances.”

Meow! Meow! The two cats fought and rolled together. The blood shadows turned into numerous paws that slapped his opponent. The ghostly figures turned into countless paws that slapped. It looked as though they were having a slapping match.

“Fighting like small kids,” Zhao Yao commented.

Shreev also activated his superpower and fresh blood spurted out from his body. He was as pale as a sheet. His attack was too sudden and Arria was bound by his blood.

“You’ve done well Shreev. Bind him tightly!” Asser roared and his blood shadows curled around Arria as the controlled Simba and the warriors’ charges towards Arria.

As Arria was about to be subdued, sounds of galloping rang in the air. Walls disintegrated as a horde of riders with undead warhorses arrived to rescue Arria.

Both sides escalated their fighting and caused large portions of the fortress to collapse. Tens of thousands of riders arrived continuously to attack Asser and Shreev.

The controlled Simba and the warriors were stampeded until they became meat sauce and they vanished for revival again.

Arria escaped from Shreev’s bondage and ordered his riders to surround Asser.

Asser did not give up. His body emitted countless blood streams and controlled large amount of riders.

The blood streams expanded and contracted as the target’s life force was drained. Asser grew very large and was filled with blood spikes like a scarlet hedgehog. He brought along his expanding controlled riders and charged into Arria’s army, forcing his opponents to flee.

This was the base of the Door of Everlasting Life. The killed riders were immediately revived. All other riders were ordered by Arria to kill themselves, revive and surround Asser and Shreev.

The battle became an endurance contest.

Simba laughed loudly as he charged and was impaled by the blood spikes. He fell in front of Asser but he smiled and said, “You can’t win!” He vanished in a trail of smoke.

“Is that a deadlock?” Zhao Yao squeezed his chin and thought, “I’ve watched enough. It’s time for me to show off.”

Zhao Yao appeared instantly in the middle of the battlefield. The Deflective field bounced and killed a large portion of the revived riders.

He turned back and looked at Asser and said, “I’ll help you.”

Simba’s eyes lit up when he saw Zhao Yao as he was overjoyed.

With the army’s siege and Arria leading the battle personally, Zhao Yao dared to show himself. Was he tired of living?
