“What?!” Zhao Xue’s eyes squinted and saw superalloy daggers hidden in his fingertip gaps. “This guy… I’m sure there were no daggers… how did hide them?”
After gaining advantage, the elder whipped his leg like a hurricane at Zhao Xue who snorted in fury. She lashed out her leg like a whip and the air at the tip of her leg exploded.
Both their legs collided with a huge bang. Following Zhao Xue’s painful scream, fresh blood splattered from her thigh.
Zhao Xue looked at his tattered pants on his thigh and noticed numerous distorted steel needles affixed on a steel plate.
Zhao Xue lashed her full strength on these steel needles and her muscles on her thigh were torn.
“They appeared suddenly. Is that a superpower…” Zhao Xue was infuriated. “This old man deserves to die…”
Seeing the elder wielding a hand knife and slashing the air, Zhao Xue did not block but used her good leg to step on the ground and backed up.
The elder did not pursue her but laughed sinisterly. “You’re getting smarter, woman. I’m able to obtain toys from my Dimension Bag.”
Zhao Xue narrowed her eyes and saw several silver wires entangled in his palm.
The elder waved the metal wires in his hands. “For example, if I use enough force, this nano metal wire could cut through a battle cruiser.
With my strong body, I could cut anything like cutting a beancurd. Though you evaded my wires, but don’t you need to remove that thing from your stomach?”
“Stomach?” Zhao Xue was shocked. She touched her stomach and a thunderous explosion rang in the air.
When the elder cut open her stomach, a grenade, which was put inside, exploded.
“Ah!!!!!”
Zhao Xue wailed in pain as she knelt on the ground with her body full of blood. Both her hands scratched and left deep trails on the ground.
The elder waited at a distance and did not advance. He flicked his hand calmly and steel needles appeared in his palm.
Olivier had used his Dimension Bag superpower.
The various weapons and devices used were from the Dimension Bag. Because of this, he was able to ambush Zhao Xue.
Though the Dimension Bag was not able to contain life like the Extradimensional Belly but the various use of weapons greatly increased Olivier’s combat prowess.
“Young people like you, don’t you know the difference between humans and animals?”
“Whether you are using tools or not.”
The elder looked coldly at Zhao Xue, who hugged her stomach, wailing in pain. She gradually fell to the ground and stopped moving. “You are foolish to fight bare-handed.”
“Don’t play dead. A grenade’s not enough to kill you.” The elder held a steel needle and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t give you a chance. I won’t even get close to you.”
When the elder was about to shoot out his steel needle at Zhao Xue, he felt a hot breath blowing on the back of his skull.
Olivier was like a frightened animal and he threw tens of steel needles to his back.
Crispy sounds of the steel needles ripping through the air was heard and all the needles were right on target.
“With my strength, the power of every thrown steel needle was not lesser than an armor piercing shell. With such a short distance, he’s definitely dead…”
When Oliver swiveled his body, he saw Zhao Yao standing emotionless behind him. Zhao Yao hugged his chest and looked quietly at him.
“Zhao Yao!!” Olivier was slightly shocked but when he saw the dented steel needles falling on the ground, he was astonished.
“He blocked the steel needles that I shot out at proximity. Did he use his high speed hands to catch the needles? Or is it due to that strange clothing?”
Olivier bent his body like a wary beast. He tiptoed and raised his arms as he gazed intently at Zhao Yao.
Zhao Yao did not look at Olivier. Instead, he looked at Zhao Xue who was on the ground. “Hey, are you alright?”
Lucifer was at Zhao Xue’s side licking his lips. He retracted his paws and looked at Zhao Xue’s wounds with a pair of excited eyes. “Zhao Xue’s good at playing dead.”
Zhao Xue screamed and her wounds went through rapid regeneration. She shouted, “Don’t touch him! Leave that old man to me!!”
“Bullying me because I don’t have superpower…”
“I’m going to beat him to death!!”
Zhao Yao nodded and surveyed Oliver, who had a Level 25 indicator above his head. Then Zhao Yao looked at the mission panel.
Mission: Sudden Change
Mission Objective: There were sudden appearances of Level 10 and above apostles on Earth. Where did they obtain their superpower? Investigate the truth of this phenomenon.
Mission Reward: 10000 experience points
Mission Penalty: None.
“10000 experience points, not bad. I noticed the Level 25 old man seems to belong to the Furless Tribe who used power of awareness to strengthen the body.” Zhao Yao thought, “Did the Furless Tribe send him here? No, it doesn’t look like Furless Tribe’s way of doing things. Who could it be? Short Fur Tribe? Why don’t they use awareness distortion to control other people?”
As Zhao Yao was considering the possibilities, Olivier fixed his gaze at Zhao Yao. He observed Zhao Yao’s line of sight and listened to Zhao Yao and Zhao Xue’s conversation. He thought, “He didn’t bother about me?”
“He’s distracted?”
Seeing Zhao Yao in deep thoughts, he kept his wits. “Humans are not machines. No matter how strong the person is, he could not possible be focused 24 hours a day.
For a normal human, the maximum limit for focusing is 15 minutes. He had to relax for some time before he could focus again.”
