…
Assistant He is quite unsure right now whether his boss would want this account terminated.
His instincts say he’ll be killed if he terminates it, but if he doesn’t… Shao Yanxi might still kill him for his image shattering?
Calling either Shao Yanxi or Liu Yu’an and their phones are all off.
Great!
Last night Shao Yanxi did send a message telling him they’re going public, and he should ‘respond as appropriate.’
As appropriate my arse.
The assistant thinks he deserves a raise or ten, especially as the head of PR is still insistently buggering him, “Mr. He, what should we do?”
Liu Yu’an’s account isn’t too overwhelmed, but Shao Yanxi’s alt is currently being flooded with ‘hahaha’s.
“… Nothing,” the assistant finally blurts out and sighs, then continues, “only make sure none of the comments is intentionally damaging Mr. Shao and An-shao’s image.”
They can do nothing else.
“Alright.”
Meanwhile, it’s already in the afternoon when Liu Yu’an and Shao Yanxi finally wake up.
When Liu Yu’an switches his phone back on… Ren Jianzhang. He’s calling. Again… Looking at the call history, jesus! He’s been calling every, 15, minutes, for all the hours past!
He thinks for a little, before calling Shao Yanxi over and then accepts the call and immediately shoves it into Shao Yanxi’s hand.
Shao Yanxi is surprised. He heard from the ringtone that it isn’t his own phone ringing, and asks quietly, “isn’t this your phone?”
Before either of them could react though, Ren Jianzhang, seemingly finally reacting to the phone call connecting, yells out, “LIU YU’AN! Jesus, Buddha, God Almighty! If you really have to do something in the future, I don’t even ask that you contact me beforehand, but at least alert me to it after the fact, can’t you?! Let this poor old man prepare a little, ok? Even if you’re a rich boy you can’t just go stomping around as you please and then ignore everything, ok? Do you have any idea how many people had to work overnight because of you in the company last night?! If you do it again, I’m firing myself!”
Shao Yanxi is so surprised by the phone he almost drops it. He turns towards Liu Yu’an, but before he can ask, he can’t help but want to chuckle at the colourful language. He has to hold back from laughing out loud… Because it would probably make the situation way worse. Just look at Liu Yu’an’s crumpled face.
After Ren Jianzhang is finally done yelling, Shao Yanxi finally says, “Mr. Ren, I’m Shao Yanxi. Liu Yu’an is… Still sleeping,” he says, giving Liu Yu’an a ‘you’ve really gone and done it’ stare. If he wasn’t on sex beast mode last night they might have remembered to inform them or at least wake up earlier to deal with it. Though, he’s also the one suggesting it in the first place, and so he says, “I want to apologise too. We were really inconsiderate. I’m sorry, and you’ve all worked hard. I’ll ask Ning Xi to give everyone a special bonus later.”
That said, he did remember to tell the assistant to deal with it, didn’t he? He probably didn’t tell Ren Jianzhang… Maybe the assistant expected that Liu Yu’an would have informed his agent as a bare minimum. And he gives another blaming gaze to Liu Yu’an who looks terribly wronged by him.
“Inconsiderate? Damn right you were incon… Uh, wait, Mr. Shao, you said you’re Mr. Shao…” Ren Jianzhang blows up some more before finally realising what he just heard.
“Um, Mr. Shao, I, no, I mean, I…” His face goes from steaming red angry to chilled white in record time for sure.
He yelled at Shao Yanxi! Wait, why is Shao Yanxi on Liu Yu’an’s phone- oh right, they’re a married couple.
But wait! Even he and his wife would be displeased if the other picked up a call for the other without asking, right?! Oh, wait, he said Liu Yu’an is sleeping. Urgh!
If he knew Shao Yanxi was the one picking up, he would definitely have used a gentle tone. A super gentle tone.
No, actually, if he knew, then he wouldn’t even have called.
After panicking a little, Ren Jianzhang still quickly recovers himself and slowly lays out what happened after they’ve gone and buried their heads in their pillows from reality.
“Wait, you said I used my…” alt?
Shao Yanxi is now really shocked.
“Yes, you used your alt to share An’an’s official post of your marriage certificate.”
Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been this rowdy online either.
Liu Yu’an might have been a little more popular recently but he’s still largely obscure. Shao Yanxi has a lot of followers but he’s still no idol, and obviously, they wouldn’t just be rioting just because it is revealed Shao Yanxi is in a relationship.
What sent the Internet into a frenzy is actually the alt with all its… interesting posts.
Alt?! Why would it be his alt?! Didn’t he do it on his main account?
Shao Yanxi’s face goes red then white then red again, as he recalls what he once posted.
He posted so many embarrassing things on there. In fact, he already thought about terminating it after coming out halfway with his main, but he didn’t really feel like it.
He registered that account for Liu Yu’an when he debuted. Ever since then he has cheered for Liu Yu’an forever. He didn’t even know anything about fan culture back then, and had the assistant research about it and tell him.
It was an alt that not only recorded Liu Yu’an’s growth, but also his own. From when Liu Yu’an is a little rookie to a national superstar (at least, in his own fantasies), from when Liu Yu’an didn’t like him to them marrying… Well, plus a rebirth here, and actually falling in love with each other; from knowing nothing about fan culture, to being a cheerleader who knows all about the slang.
“Right… I see,” since he did send the message last night, at least the assistant would have known. It should be fine. He thinks, deciding to escape from reality once again.
Then, he asks Liu Yu’an, with his hand covering the receiving end, “do you want to talk to him?”
“… I’ll call him back.” Liu Yu’an says. He might have really caused a lot of trouble for them and even ran away from responsibility this time, even if inadvertently. He will call to properly apologise later .
Then Shao Yanxi hangs up and starts browsing his WeChat behind Liu Yu’an, and sees all his posts screenshot and shared all over. His hairs are all standing on end, as he realises the futility of terminating his account this late. In fact, it would look worse.
He might as well leave it be; he isn’t a celebrity anyway.
Then he puts the phone away, and tries to cool his face by fanning with his hand.
Liu Yu’an has planted his head onto Shao Yanxi’s shoulder in the meantime, and asks, enjoying the breeze, “hmm?”
Shao Yanxi turns around and also straightens Liu Yu’an out in the process, and changes the topic, “it’s already past one.”
“Hungry?” Liu Yu’an kisses his cheek.
“I want caramel pudding, and double-skin milk ——” Shao Yanxi says, dragging out the miiiiiilk. He’s definitely doing it on purpose, as he doesn’t want Liu Yu’an to go online, for as long as he could delay it.
“I’ll make it later,” Liu Yu’an moves his hand to Shao Yanxi’s waist, and starts rubbing, “have some congee first, then I’ll make some.”
“I don’t want congee!” He is very much opposed to even more congee. Every single time. Even if he can definitely eat other stuff, he’s even looked it up. It’s always Liu Yu’an going on about ‘being careful’ and ‘what if your tummy hurts’ and…
He would rather have some diarrhoea or two if all he could eat is more congee.
“I don’t want any congee. Serious.”
“Then what do you want?”
“Anything other than congee.”
“Ask your doc for advice?” Liu Yu’an is referring to Shao Yanxi’s family doctor.
“No way,” isn’t that way too awkward?
“Fine, I’ll say it’s me, and ask what I can eat?” Liu Yu’an offers a compromise.
Shao Yanxi doesn’t respond, and lowers his head.
Liu Yu’an chuckles and calls the doctor on his phone, asking, “Dr. Xu, what kind of food is still ok when there are haemorrhoids?”
Shao Yanxi can’t help but chuckle in turn.
“Hemorrhoids? Need me to come take a look?” The doctor asks.
“I’m fine,” Liu Yu’an replies, “just tell me what I should and should not eat. I’ll go see you if it wouldn’t heal.”
Liu Yu’an gives Shao Yanxi a glance as his shoulders go up and down holding back his laughter.
The doctor says any food that is not irritating for the bowels would be fine.
Since Liu Yu’an has never actually had this experience before, and his knowledge of this is always from novels where, after the leads have done it, they always had congee and said anything would cause indigestion or sickness. He’s been misled.
Therefore, Liu Yu’an decides to make a few more meals to make up for Shao Yanxi’s previous sufferings (?), including the promised milk and pudding, and even egg tarts——As ordered by Shao Yanxi remotely, who has taken off to the company to deal with the piled-up work from the morning first with a quick lunch from Liu Yu’an in hand.
It’s already 3:30 when Liu Yu’an is done with all the desserts. He drives to the company for the first time in a while, and this time, he receives a warm welcome.
“An-shao, long time no see!”
“An-shao, you should come more often!”
“An-shao, you sure are becoming more handsome by the day!”
Finally, he walks into Shao Yanxi’s office after all the praises, and notices something off about Shao Yanxi.
He first asks if Liu Yu’an has called Ren Jianzhang yet. When he replied he hasn’t and is planning to do it when he’s free later in the evening, he asks whether he has gone online yet.
How odd for him to ask today.
Liu Yu’an decides to take out his phone and open up WeChat… Oh. Oho.
He raises his brow at Shao Yanxi, who makes a cough and mimics a hamster stuffing food into his mouth, not looking at Liu Yu’an.
Liu Yu’an is intrigued, “what’s the name of your alt?”
“The double-skin milk is amazing. You should have some yourself.”
Liu Yu’an “…”
What, he thinks he couldn’t work out who it is if he’s acting silly? And a flash of brilliance occurs to him before he asks, “it’s MyAnan , isn’t it?”
“Egg tarts? They’re good too, but I like them as well, so you can only have one.” Then he lifts an egg tart to Liu Yu’an’s mouth.
Liu Yu’an eats the egg tart as he decides to dig it up himself.
