Chapter 117, Vol. 2 - Nitan Warrior

Following Kabu’s roar, the infant on its back started laughing, its innocent voice ringing in great contrast.

Everyone’s face fell. Of course, those like Darmiala would know where the infant and the Nitan came from. 

Yet now was not the time to regret these things.

“Nitan warrior,” Long Tu said calmly. Yexi and DiZi nodded in agreement. Although this muscular Nitan was not as humongous as a Nitan warrior, its terrifyingly dominant aura still made them feel like there was a knife on their backs despite the far distance. This was obviously a creature of a stronger level compared to a Nitan soldier—it was the Nitan warrior.

The Nitan warrior Kabu had the finest equipment on him, with vines wrapping his body like armor, embedded with purple crystals - just one look was enough to know how hard the armor was. 

The battle was on the verge of breaking out. Kabu had no intention of communicating with them, for in its eyes, they were no more than the dead.

Peculiar-shaped long blades were whipped out in an instant; Kabu’s technique was suited for DiZi facing him head-on. Upon sharing a tacit agreement, Long Tu and Yexi stepped backward as DiZi charged forward, pulling out his sword and hitting Kabu with an attack. 

Deng!! Came the sound of the blades clashing together; the force enough to cause a swirl of wind, blowing through the area. DiZi and Kabu maintained their footing, not moving one step—the Nitan displayed a shocked expression, while DiZi gave a ferocious smile,

“Great! This is a great opponent!”

Unfortunately, Long Tu and Yexi did not plan on letting DiZi perform solo; one instantly moved to face Kabu’s back and one jumped above DiZi’s head—holding their fists, they delivered a punch without hesitation!

Kabu was caught by surprise and started to move backward. Sensing someone from behind, it chose to attack, slashing its blade at Long Tu. Suddenly, DiZi pushed with more strength and toppled Kabu’s balance, throwing him off guard, while Long Tu delivered her blows onto the Nitan’s long blades, pushing it back by several steps—only to meet Yexi who had long awaited its arrival. There was a flash of white light and a deep wound appeared instantly on Kabu’s face.

Once again appearing beside Long Tu and DiZi, Yexi shook her head,

“This Nitan is too agile and alert, I couldn’t chop its head off.”

Kabu touched its face, frowning slightly at the handful of blood.

Persistent outsiders. Anyone out of this three could face me directly, and now that they’re working together, the battle won’t be easy.

But……

Kabu looked at the infant behind it. 

If they’re allowed to roam around freely, how can I face the dead clansmen? Although I’m not familiar with that small tribe, those who made this infant become an orphan deserve nothing but death!

If I cannot destroy you all, I should at least get something out of this!

Putting the long blade in his left hand back, Kabu glared ahead, its fierce expression causing DiZi and the others to concentrate once again. 

Fearing that one mistake would lead to them taking a full blow from the Nitan.

Yet at the next moment, the Nitan warrior split into four, charging forward and aiming at the place behind them. 

“Damn it! The Nitan changed his mind!” Long Tu said, her sharp instincts and experience allowing her to reach this conclusion on spot. Yexi, DiZi, and Long Tu only held back three out of the four “Kabu”s, the last one breaking past their defense, running towards Darmiala and Leah’s direction.

Darmiala’s expression changed. The place was immediately filled with a heavenly voice, then a transparent jellyfish appearing before them, serving as a natural shield. Kabu whipped out his long blades and slashed across, yet the jellyfish was more elastic than it had imagined—the blade bouncing back as if it had hit a spring. 

Finding a loophole in its defense, Leah pushed her sword forward—the blade glowing with a hint of blue flames—and despite the flames being small, Kabu still stepped back immediately, fearing it. At the same time, Yexi, whose speed was the fastest, had arrived, preparing to fight. However, Kabu cloned himself once again, this time into six. 

Not repeating the same mistake, Yexi whipped out her blade, its flashing light tearing through the air, then flung it towards the emptiness!

The Vanishing Blade.

With the blade disappearing into nowhere, Kabu’s clones were destroyed almost instantly—except for the real Kabu, who used his long blade to block the unpredictable one Yexi hid in the emptiness. 

“The Power of Space!” Kabu said, surprised. To think that this white-haired girl would hide her blade in the emptiness and use the moving dimensions to destroy all of my clones. If it weren’t for the knowledge I got from following the great Nitan King Wemberk, this blow alone would’ve been enough to wound me.

But this still isn’t enough to stop me!

As soon as Long Tu and DiZi rushed towards them, Kabu turned around and aimed for Niluka and the others, ignoring Darmiala and Leah. This time it was Angel who reacted first; yet, before she could deliver a blow, Kabu had already made ten clones, pushing past their defense and slashing his blade at the person behind them—Lunaria.

This person hiding behind the heavy defense of your team must be the medic or a non-battling, backup member—now that I hit her, everything will be over for you. Kabu thought.

Great! Lunaria thought, witnessing the Nitan’s muscular figure charging towards her like a meteor as if it wanted to tear her in half. 

In this kind of situation, Lunaria made no move to run, and instead pulled out Stillwater.

Parallel Processing, the first level. 

“Slash.”

Right after Lunaria’s calm order, an enormous flash of white light flew towards Kabu. With how sharp Stillwater is, the sharpness of this flash of light was already at its peak—to the point that Kabu who was midair could taste death on its tongue. Yet at the same time, Yexi twisted the dimensions beneath her and shot herself flying towards them, whipping out her blade.

Shadow Flash.

Yexi flew past Kabu’s body so quickly that only a flash of white light was seen. If it were not for the Nitan’s reactions, it would have been sliced in half—yet despite missing the blow slightly and blocking it with its long blade, there was still a wound so deep that the bones could be seen!

“Damn it!” Kabu roared. 

Lunaria’s attack from before had already neared it, and it knew that if the blow hit, it would either be a wound so heavy it was almost incurable or instant death. 

Its survival instincts gave it such a realization. This made Kabu come to a decision without hesitation; it threw the infant on its back high up the air, eyes widening. 

Slash!

Lunaria’s attack sliced through Kabu’s waist, slicing it in half with blood splashing everywhere—even the excellent power of the vine armor could do nothing to save it from the blow.

However, just as they thought this strong Nitan warrior would die, its lower body stopped bleeding and grew new flesh—the next thing they saw was the full body of the Nitan being grown; getting out from its lower body smeared with a sticky liquid, Kabu reached out its arm and caught the infant, then lowered it to the ground and softly put it down. 

It turned to them, eyes burning with pure hatred directed towards Long Tu, DiZi, and the others who rushed forward to surround it.
