As soon as Jing Qian was asleep, she returned to the bed in Lu Wang Chen’s room, as per the arrangement they had discussed.
She felt his warmth and the soothing scent of fresh cedar in the man’s embrace. She shut her eyes tightly.
The night was silent.
While everyone in Xiang Yi Mo’s residence slept well, Qin Chu, on the other side, tossed and turned because of what he had witnessed between Xiang Yi Mo and Lu Wang Chen during the day.
As a result, he lost sleep.
Qin Chu arrived at the office the next day with dark circles under his eyes. He seemed a little distracted.
He kept thinking about what he had seen with his own eyes yesterday. However, he couldn’t understand and associate those two people with each other.
There were so many questions he wanted to ask. However, he didn’t see Xiang Yi Mo after waiting all day. He could never get through to Xiang Yi Mo on the phone, and all his messages were just exclamation marks.
