Martial Arts Competition on the Stage [6]
During this era, many countries all focused on martial arts. Those who had talent all went to the east courtyard of Ling Yang College. Those who had no talents and wanted to learn some skills all picked riding.
All the ten classes, this class held the most popularity!
On the riding field from a distant place, one could groups of aristocratic young masters/ladies could be seen wearing a variety of gorgeous and exquisite horse-riding costumes. The fragrances they wore burst into the air.
This didnât seem to like a riding field, but instead more like an outdoor banquet.
Huang Bei Yue couldnât help but regret her choice. If she knew earlier, she wouldnât have chosen riding class. It was already basic skills for her so it wasnât really helping her in any way.
She just thought that this body was too weak so it needed some training. Thatâs why she chose riding.
âBei Yue!â While she was being depressed, a crisp voice rang from the back.
A group of young masters/misses all looked towards here and greeted them.
âPaying respects to the Princess!â
âAll rise.â Princess Ying Ye casually raised her hand and smiled, she walked up to Huang Bei Yue and grabbed her hand.
Today she wore a bright red riding suit which reflected well with her pretty little face.
âI heard the classes that you chose and I couldnât believe it. Your body isnât that well so you shouldâve picked some easier classes like the 4 arts.â
âIâve been staying at home for a long time so I wanted to try something new.â Huang Bei Yue just found a random excuse to say to Princess Ying Ye. She added on: âClass is starting, letâs go.â
Today was the first day so there were many freshmen. Teacher Guo Yuan who taught riding decided to take this group of freshmen to the east courtyard to see the real masters, hoping it will motivate their fighting spirit.
The students immediately became excited. Each one was energetic and followed Teacher Guo Yuan to the east courtyard.
In the eastern courtyard for martial arts, a group of relatively good students came this year. The coach taught them basic skills while the old students watched and guided them.
âTeacher Guo Yuan, what brought you here? To see my new group of students ah? Theyâre all incredible!â Teacher Lei Yuan laughed and walked over here, his face smug.
Teacher Guo Yuanâs face became uncomfortable but he stilled walked over there and smiled: âTeacher Lei Yuan, I didnât expect you to be here today ah.â
If he knew it was Teacher Lei Yuan who taught today, he wouldnât have come. Theyâre both students in the martial arts academy but Lei Yuan Shi can actually teach martial arts while he could only stay in Imperial College and teach a bunch of aristocratic young misses/masters riding skills!
âItâs good that Iâm here. Haha. Coincidentally, the new students came today. Teacher Guo Yuan, are you interested in a competition?â
Competition? A Competition with the martial arts academy?
These aristocratic young masters/misses immediately became timid and they looked at each other. Although they were usually proud, they still were smart enough.
Teacher Guo Yuan exclaimed: âIt is not necessary for a competition. You can just give us some tips.â
Teacher Lei Yuan was only joking anyway. He knew the levels of these aristocratic young masters/misses. He chuckled and waved his hand over: âMeng Er, you can come to guide them.â
Surrounded by a group of young geniuses, revering her as their leader, Xue Meng walked out like a proud princess.
Teacher Lei Yuan looked around and saw Princess Ying Ye who stood behind the crowd. He was taken aback: âPrincess, youâre here too.â
Princess Ying Ye could be counted as having talent in martial arts too. She was an old student but because of the Empressâs worry, she didnât come to the martial arts academy often. Most of the times she spent her day in Imperial College learning poetry and etiquette.
Princess Ying Ye nodded her head, dignified and grandeur. This is how a Princess should be.
