Soratek and Selesina went to the courtyard, sat down on a bench, and gazed at the sky.
The bright starry sky seemed to match the fertility celebration perfectly. It was a natural sight.
But she hadnāt expected Soratek to come out with her. It should be fine to rest a little and head back inside she decided.
While looking at the sky, Soratek started to speak.
āCome to think of it.
Sele, I heard about it from the Marquis that youāre going to be managing the 7th district? Arenāt you pushing yourself too much?ā
āIām alrightā¦ā¦ā¦ it was certainly startling in the beginning but Iām sure that they also desire to live a normal lifestyle.ā
āIs that so?ā
He must have probably heard that the people living in the slums of Harmil left to create a village of their own. Soratek was looking at Selesina with great concern.
When she told him that she was planning to hold a festival near the village, Soratek replied happily that it sounds great.
āI would really like for you to guide me around Sele.ā
āEh? But the village doesnāt have anything at the moment. I was thinking about taking you thereafter working on it for a few years.ā
However, she wouldnāt be able to continue managing it if the great tree doesnāt bloom within that period of timeā¦ā¦but there was no need to explicitly inform him of that.
It would be a problem if the storyline were to change due to interference.
Even if the place was developing, she couldnāt take Prince Soratek there. The roads were dirty, there were no shops and it was a far cry from a proper village.
The only thing that she could proudly show was the fact that the great tree had sprouted even though she didnāt have any blessings.
āSince itās the great tree, he would probably want to see it.ā
āI would like to see anything that Sele is working on.ā
āLord Soratekā¦ā¦ā¦..ā
Soratek looked at Selesina lovingly and said that. He entangled his fingers into her white hair and enjoyed gently stroking it.
Selesina was a little concerned that they may be misunderstood by the heroine but she decided to let him do as he pleased without letting it bother her.
For now, she had to think of a way to quickly return back inside.
She wanted to return immediately but they started talking and Soratek didnāt seem to have any intention of returning back inside. She was worried.
It was impossible to say that they should return inside in order to see the heroine quickly but she couldnāt come up with a better reason. Soratek inclined his head as he watched her worry.
āIām sorry for dragging you along for so long even though youāre tiredā¦..ā
āBut, I somehow need to bring the heroine and Lord Soratek together.ā
āLord Soratek, if youāre absent for too long then the others will be troubled. Wonāt you return for a while?ā
āā¦ā¦I want to stay here and relax with you Sele.ā
āā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.ā
Selesina tried to stand up but Soratekās eyes seemed to appeal to her to stay put.
She was troubled. He put his arms around her shoulder so she couldnāt even get off the bench.
When she was wondering what to do, she felt the bushes move.
She realized that someone was there and she looked towards the source of the sound. She noticed pink hair that resembled a flower. Selesina realized that it was the heroine.
āAh, Lord Soratekā¦ā¦ā¦.!ā
The heroine was looking this way and smiling warmly just like a flower.
āUwahh, the heroine is really adorableā¦ā¦ā¦.just as expectedā¦ā¦ā
Iām defeated without knowingā! She wanted to scream out.
āItās our first time meeting. Iām Selesina Rinklat.ā
āā¦ā¦ā¦Iām Meria Saltimal. Itās my first time meeting you Lady Selesina. Itās been a while Lord Soratek.ā
āYeah, are you doing well now?ā
āYes.ā
Come to think of it, the heroine was set to have a weak body. She looked at Meria.
Soratek seemed to worry about her, then it would have been better if he wasnāt here with her.
Were they distant because this was an evening party?
Soratek introduced Meria since Selesina didnāt know her.
āLady Meria had been taking treatment at her maternal home up until recently. She doesnāt seem to have any friends so it would be nice if both of you could get along well.ā
āOf course.ā
āThank you Lady Selesina. Iām really glad that I got to speak to you.ā
Her smile resembled a flower and she looked adorable, thought Selesina. Why did she carry her glass of wine with her and come out to the courtyard?Ā
Meria noticed Selesinaās line of sight and smiled awkwardly.
āIām still unfamiliar with this placeā¦ā¦ā¦..Itās embarrassing.ā
āThatās okay, you can always come and speak to me. You may speak to me about anything.ā
āThank you Lady Selesina.ā
āIn order to avoid the bad ending, I would listen to any unreasonable request!ā
āLord Soratek, can I have a dance?ā
āEhā¦ā¦ā¦..?ā
He saw Meria smile adorably and looked at Selesina reflexively.
Soratek wanted to dance with Selesina and not Meria but Selesina interpreted it as him not being able to dance with Meria because Selesina was present.
Selesina thought that he was concerned about that.
āIāll rest here for a while so please go ahead and dance.ā
āWell, thank you Lady Selesina.ā
āSele. I donāt intend to leave you here alone and go back inside when youāre feeling unwell.ā
Even if Selesina was alright with it, Soratek wouldnāt budge.Ā
But if he stayed here with her then his relationship with the heroine wouldnāt deepen.
She was wondering what to do when she suddenly had an idea.
āThatās right, Iām a villainess!ā
In that case, it would be fine to act like one.
She looked at the wine that Meria was holding. The contents were still intact, she hadnāt really drunk from her glass.Ā
She would spill that on Meriaās dress so that the two of them could leave from here.
With that, the two of them would unavoidably be alone together.
It was a good idea she realized as she slowly stood up.
She had to do it as naturally as possible.
āLord Soratek, Iām alright so let the three of us head back in together? It will also be more encouraging for Lady Meria that way.ā
āā¦ā¦ā¦.Yes !ā
Meria happily nodded at Selesinaās words. She nodded happily looking adorable just like a small animal. You would certainly feel like helping her out.
āāWell, Iāll be spilling the wine on her now though.
āThen, letās go!ā
She quickly took Meriaās hand as if wanting to walk.
Soratek thought that it couldnāt be helped and got up when Selesina casually pulled on Meriaās arm with some strength.
āKyaaa!ā
āYoshh!ā
There was a sound and the wine spilled onto Meriaās dress. Some of it fell onto her clothes as well. Although that wasnāt in her plan, but it should be fine.
āAhh, Iām really sorry Lady Meriaā¦ā¦ā¦your dress isā
Since a deep-colored wine spilled onto her dress, there was a prominent stain. The mission was a success. Selesina quickly started to walk after telling Meria that letās go to room when Soratek pulled on her arm.
āEh?ā
āTake Lady Meria to the guest room immediately. Ask a maid to prepare a new dress for her.ā
āEh, eh?ā
Soratek, who quickly grasped the situation, put an arm around Selesinaās shoulder and began to give out instructions.
Selesina assumed thatā¦ā¦ā¦Soratek would be the one to take Meria to the guest room.
āI didnāt expect this kind of development though?ā
Anyway, he was embracing Selesina and holding her as if she was a princess.
āAre you okay Sele?ā
āYes, barely anything spilled over me so Iām alright.ā
āIām glad that you werenāt hurt. Letās get you changed quickly.ā
āEhā¦ā¦.ā
Soratek left Meria to the maids and took Selesina along with him.
āWait, Thatās not how itās supposed to be!ā
Selesina wanted to cry out but she went along with him patiently.
