Quickly nearing arrival at the bottom of the cliff, Yin Xiaoxiao was completely awake and, looking, he saw that the cliff’s bottom was already near at hand. Yin Xiaoxiao’s face remained unchanged as he got down from Mo Laoda’s back. He took and held the gold and silver from Nine, then pushed the remainder to Mo Laoda. Then, the party of snakes set off again towards the bottom of the cliff.
Reaching the bottom of the cliff, Mo Laoda and Yin Xiaoxiao searched for quite a while before finding the strange snakes, Goushe and Bashe.
Feeling very happy, Goushe and Bashe saw Mo Laoda and Yin Xiaoxiao, then immediately left to tell the other strange snakes.
The strange snakes, without any prior agreement, all shrunk in size. Their bodies had been too big to comfortably look at Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda, to say nothing of the even smaller snakes that Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda had brought 1 .
The strange snakes looked at the young snakes behind Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda, somewhat baffled. “These young snakes are?”
Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda only then recalled that the strange snakes still didn’t know that Yin Xiaoxiao had had children.
Yin Xiaoxiao, then feeling a trace of pride, immediately answered, “These young snakes are my and Heitan’s children!”
As these words sunk in, the strange snakes all looked incredulous. It hadn’t been more than a year since Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda had been here. In that short time, how had they had so many children? Oh, and recall: Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda had only been partners for a little over a year. Didn’t that mean that Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda had had children not long after they’d become partners?
But then the strange snakes thought of Yin Xiaoxiao’s human soul and were relieved. Surely it was because of this that Yin Xiaoxiao was so easily able to become pregnant and have children. The strange snakes knew that the vipers didn’t reproduce easily!
Heili carefully looked at the young snakes and said with a smile, “Xiaoxiao’s children are very adorable.”
Yin Xiaoxiao straightened and said with considerable pride, “Naturally! Look at whose children they are!”
–Well, this was the only time that Yin Xiaoxiao had been able to experience the pride of being the Pop of the young snakes.
The young snakes only quietly listened to their Pop and the strange snakes converse, and didn’t say anything.
The young snakes knew who the snakes before them were. The inherited memories told them that these snakes were called strange snakes, and that as vipers, they should be quite afraid and unwilling to get close to the strange snakes. These young snakes were naturally no exception to this. As a result, seeing their Pop and the strange snakes being unusually familiar with each other, the young snakes felt a lot of confusion–and admiration.
That’s right, admiration. Snakes were afraid of the strange snakes because of the strange snakes’ physical size and formidable strength. It would be more appropriate to say that the reason why they were naturally unwilling to get close to them was because of restraining fear rather than jealousy of their strength. But if their Pop could become friends with the strange snakes to the point where their Pop and the strange snakes seemed unusually close, then what did that mean? It meant that their Pop was extremely formidable! If he wasn’t, then how could he become friends with the strange snakes?!
It wasn’t only this. The young snakes with their inherited memories had certainly noticed the strangeness in their family. No Hei snakes had been born of a Yin snake and a Mo snake, which itself indicated that their Pop was formidable! Furthermore, even though no Hei snakes were born, it would have been expected that, at the very least, more Mo snakes would be born! But that also didn’t happen; the same number of Mo snakes and Yin snakes were born. What? You’re asking about Nine? Oh, Nine’s pattern was indeed quite strange, but Nine had great strength! At the very least, the four Mo snakes weren’t as strong as Nine! And there were nine siblings! Nine! Not one, two, three or four, nothing less than nine! To say nothing that their Dad’s strength as a Mo snake made reproduction exponentially more difficult. There shouldn’t be so many sons. Even a Lu snake and a Lu snake together wouldn’t have been able to produce nine snakes! Even more, they were born only several months after their Pop and Dad got together. This was all absolutely due to their Pop!
–Well, in any case, in the final analysis and in the hearts of the young snakes, their Pop was a more powerful and valiant existence than their Dad!
The strange snakes were quite friendly and nice towards the young snakes, and the young snakes didn’t treat them like they were any different from vipers. For the strange snakes, it was like this: The children of a friendly snake are like my own children.
Yin Xiaoxiao, Mo Laoda and the group of young snakes stayed below the cliff for half a month. Only then did Yin Xiaoxiao, broken-hearted, leave. Oh, but this time there were nine snakes for Yin Xiaoxiao to play with, and Yin Xiaoxiao was delighted to have more snakes to play with!
“Well! Next we go and have fun visiting Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen!” Yin Xiaoxiao lifted his head and straightened his back.
‘
The young snakes doubtfully asked, “Who are Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen?” Oh, these two names are even stranger than their own!
“Humans.”
“Humans?” The young snakes cried out together in alarm. “Why are there humans here?”
And so, Yin Xiaoxiao began to tell the young snakes the tale of the human’s invasion twenty years ago…
By the time the story had finished, Yin Xiaoxiao’s party of snakes had also arrived at Wang Yanzhen and Zhou Feng’s home.
“What is this?” The young snakes curiously looked at the building in front of them, something that shouldn’t be on the mountain.
“It’s a house,” Yin Xiaoxiao answered, then continued, yelling loudly, “Zhou Feng! Wang Yanzhen! It’s me, Yin Xiaoxiao!”
Just as he’d finished speaking, the door to the house was pushed open. Wang Yanzhen and Zhou Feng appeared in the doorway.
Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen were just about to speak when their gazes were attracted to the young snakes behind Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda.
“These are?” Wang Yanzhen hesitantly asked.
Yin Xiaoxiao once more raised his head and straightened his back. “These are mine and Heitan’s sons!”
–Okay, Yin Xiaoxiao wouldn’t admit that it was in order to speak these words, which he enjoyed and would never tire of saying, that he went from the old tomb to the bottom of the cliff to Wang Yanzhen and Zhou Feng’s house.
“Xiaoxiao, these are your sons?” Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen asked simultaneously, eyes wide.
Yin Xiaoxiao nodded his head vigorously. “That’s right! They’re my sons!”
Wang Yanzhen muttered, “Wasn’t I saying how it’d been more than a year since you’d come? It turns out that it was because you’d run off to have children.”
Mo Laoda shot an indifferent glance at Wang Yanzhen . Wang Yanzhen immediately shut his mouth, standing straight and staring ahead as though he hadn’t spoken.
“My sons hadn’t seen real humans before, so I came over so my sons could take a good look and see what humans look like. Experience and knowledge are very important. If my sons grew up without ever seeing humans, how humiliating it would be to admit it!”
Wang Yanzhen & Zhou Feng: “….” So then, we exist so that the next generation of vipers will know what humans look like?
–Hey, Yin Xiaoxiao! Even if Ji Kang and Ji Zhao are now only human souls, they still have human appearances! How could you say that the young snakes don’t know what humans look like!
Yin Xiaoxiao finished speaking and entered the house on his own. “We’re going to stay here tonight! My sons also have to know what bedding feels like!”
Already having entirely entered the house, Yin Xiaoxiao again appeared in the doorway. Beaming, he asked, “What are we eating tonight?”
Zhou Feng was just about to answer when Mo Laoda’s displeased voice rang out first, “Yin Xiaoxiao! No matter what they make, you’re not allowed to eat!”
Yin Xiaoxiao’s lips curled and he shrunk back. Hmph, don’t eat, don’t eat. Don’t make such a big deal over it!
That evening, Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen had an extremely awkward and uncomfortable meal. While Yin Xiaoxiao watched them eat, drooling and bright-eyed, Mo Laoda stared at them with an expression that threatened, “If you dare to feed the Little Idiot anything, I will bite you 2 to death”. And there were also curious eyes staring at them, having never seen human food before. Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen were j□j 3 in their hearts. God! Yin Xiaoxiao, please refrain from coming here! We can’t bear this kind of thing continuing!
Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen finished eating with great difficulty, promptly spread out the comforter for the snakes, then took care of the leftover food on the table. Then they directly entered their room and resolutely didn’t come out.
Yin Xiaoxiao’s gaze remained glued to the leftover food. Mo Laoda was forced to drag Yin Xiaoxiao back to their room.
The comforter was originally made to fit Yin Xiaoxiao and Mo Laoda’s bodies. Even though there were now an additional nine young snakes, because the young snakes were very small, it wasn’t too crowded, and there was enough comforter.
Coiled up with Mo Laoda, Yin Xiaoxiao looked somewhat worriedly at the nine young snakes squeezed together in one corner of the comforter. He asked, “We won’t crush them while we sleep tonight, right?”
Mo Laoda pushed down Yin Xiaoxiao’s head, which had been peering out, then placed his head on top of Yin Xiaoxiao’s and said in a serious voice, “I don’t toss and turn 4 in my sleep like you
Yin Xiaoxiao: “….”
The young snakes pretended as though they hadn’t heard. Their Dad was a powerful existence but, sometimes, they felt that their Dad really was too embarrassing!
Unsurprisingly, Yin Xiaoxiao, out of eleven snakes and two humans, was the one to get up last.  Looking at the sun high in the sky, Yin Xiaoxiao didn’t look the slightest bit ashamed. After having watched Zhou Feng and Wang Yanzhen eat but not being allowed to eat himself, after Yin Xiaoxiao got up, he immediately dragged Mo Laoda and the young snakes away. Out of sight, out of mind!
Standing in the doorway, Zhou Feng asked, “Xiaoxiao came in order to tell us that he has children?”
Wang Yanzhen, crouching in the doorway, curled his lip, darkly thinking about how males could get pregnant here. It was a good thing that, everytime, he’d never allowed Zhou Feng to shoot it inside himself or else he would have already had several children! Thinking of this, Wang Yanzhen couldn’t help but shiver.
Zhou Feng saw Wang Yanzhen’s strange behavior and couldn’t help but ask, concerned, “What’s the matter? Are you cold?”
Wang Yanzhen hurriedly shook his head to show that he wasn’t cold. Don’t take it seriously! If Zhou Feng knew what he was thinking, what would he do if he wanted to have children? He didn’t want to give birth to a baby!
Slithering unhurriedly, Yin Xiaoxiao carefully thought about where else they should go, only to find that there was no place they hadn’t gone to! Yin Xiaoxiao was upset! Sure enough, having too few friends wasn’t good! Finally, Yin Xiaoxiao had no choice but to unwillingly return home.
Unexpectedly, when they were halfway there they ran into Yin Xiaoyi and Hei A’Lu.
“A’Lu and I ran into Pop and Dad, who told us where you live. We went to look for you, but you weren’t there, so we left. We didn’t expect to run into you!” Seeing Yin Xiaoxiao, Yin Xiaoyi seemed exceptionally happy.
Hei A’Lu’s gaze fixed on the babies behind Mo Laoda and Yin Xiaoxiao, and he couldn’t help but say, “Godpapa, your sons are so adorable!”
Yin Xiaoxiao immediately beamed. “They are, aren’t they! My sons are adorable! There are nine! All are mine and Heitan’s sons!”
Mo Laoda and the other young snakes: “…” It started again!
Until Yin Xiaoyi and Hei A’Lu left, Mo Laoda and the young snakes remained silent and didn’t speak. But Yin Xiaoxiao was quite satisfied, so much so that he wanted to continue and visit Hei A’Ban’s family, Er-ge, San-ge, Si-ge and Wu-ge. Unfortunately, ultimately, Mo Laoda forcefully stopped him.
